I've been doing bodyweight (+dumbbell) exercises for about 6 months for general functional fitness and weight reduction (age 45, current weight 250). I have 3 semi-isolation workouts, dividing (1) legs/glutes, (2) chest & upper back, and (3) abs/core, plus I do a good bit of cardio as well (stairclimbing, jogging, jumprope, calisthenics, biking, kick-laps at the pool, etc.).
Periodically, I just do a pyramid of burpees, which I see as a whole-body compound-movement bodyweight exercise, with a big cardio kicker. I'd like to find some more simple workouts like that. Can anybody recommend any more whole-body, minimal equipment, relatively simple, compound movement, mostly bodyweight workouts? Sandbags and dumbbells are OK, too (they fit under my bed). It could be that stringing together a handful of partial body compound movement exercises could hit the mark. It's a big extra bonus if they can be done in the relatively small space of a hotel room, and if they totally kick your butt in about 25 minutes or so.
Thanks!!
