I'm sorry to hear you feel down and overwhelmed, but it made me think about how I got started. My food diary, kept here daily, made the biggest difference to me when it came to building the right habits. I had the additional "benefit" of negative physical symptoms if I would eat too much unhealthy food, but when I started I had those pretty much all the time anyhow. Actually, I still do, but they get worse when I eat too much of the bad stuff.
Anyhoo, lacking major health concerns, you really could benefit from just writing down everything you eat in a day; it helps give you a way to keep track of what you are doing and what you might be able to change. If you want to supercharge the benefits of that simple food diary, write down how you feel after each meal, and look for patterns. The final and hardest step of the food diary process would be to write it down here, but I would certainly appreciate seeing it and it looks like others would as well.
