MoonGoddess's Path

So I just decided on a new goal.

Something small, yet a big deal to me. I used one of those online BMI calculators & figured out that if I just lose a few pounds I will go from obese to overweight. I need to make it to 174. I am determined that I will reach this by my sisters wedding... I am hoping to make it by my birthday, but I would hate to set that & it not happen. I think its achievable though.

I have to think crossing that 30.0 BMI threshold is a major accomplishment. So thats it. My new short term finish line. :)

I'm sorry the scale isn't cooperating with you . Try not to beat yourself up though about a couple of meals. We're in it for the long haul so it's ok to have too much once in a while. Each new day is a chance to get back to your new habits rather than your old ones. Just keep up the hard work you are putting in .

Just because it gets harder as you get older doesn't mean that it can't be done. I'm 32, and yes, I'm way behind you in the weight-loss jungle, but I'm still here. As for the scale, I think we both might get some satisfaction with backing our cars over the darn things (mine hasn't moved in a week even with the Slimfast:flame:).

I think it is great your have your sister's upcoming wedding to provide additional motivation on your weight loss journey. It helps when you can set those small goals like you did. 174 by your sis's big day? I know you can do it! I'm routing for you. Think about how good you will feel that day if you reach your goal and know that your hard work and discipline paid off. Have a great week! OOUUU!! :)

I was hoping to be like 160 by then. & I can't believe how frickin fast it is approaching! Eek!

I know one thing.... I have got to wear my sneakers! I wore some flats today so that I could slip them on & off under my desk. Temps are going up again & I thought why not....now I am missing my sneakers. The stairs just seem so much easier in good shoes. Bet my pedometer is showing less steps than normal by this time of day.

its is really nice to be all barefooted, but then having to put them back on stinks.

sneakers beat shoes any day of the week :)

or sneaker flip flops -nike and adidas make really good flip flops that are a sneaker base - so comfy but still naked feet

Well don't beat yourself up. You are doing the best you can do. Dig deep and think about how good it will feel to shed a few more pounds and be that much more comfortable in the bridesmaid dress. You can do it! Wishing you a great week filled with healthy eating, exercise, and great results! :beating:

I think it is always a good idea to wear comfy shoes.. after all.. those are your only two feet.. you should treat them well.

I agree. I hardly ever wear heels b/c they are just too frickin' uncomfortable. And, I get reflexology massages about once a month. Makes my feet and the rest of me feel soo good.

I know it's frustrating not losing as quickly as you'd planned. I seem to frustrate myself whenever I make long term goals. I guess it's better to take things one day at a time. Have you tried going off the diet for a week? Then go back on it. That always worked for me in the past. I have no idea why I don't do that now--well, if I don't lose more this week, I'm gonna do it.

Same here, I rarely wear heels, and I love those pumps that you can slip on and off your feet... when working, in the car, at church, anywhere! :p And at home I'm always barefoot.

Slow weight loss is really not a bad thing. The slower it comes off the longer it'll stay off, remember? (Or something like that.) You're setting yourself up with permanent good habits and good health.

Yeah I NEVER wear heels. These were just flats but still not sneakers, which today I am in. Just gotta do it.

Well I went down today... a whole .2. lol I guess its a start...minuscule as it may be. :)

Oh well. Its not for lack of support thats for sure!

I haven't gone off the diet, but I'm not really doing an extremely low cal thing either, 1500-1800 typically. I'm going to my sisters & parents this weekend so I'm sure the diet will go out the window there. They just don't get it. Plus they are in the stone age with no internet access, so I won't be able to track as easy, so whatever happens happens...

Oh that reminds me, I won't be able to post for the challenge until Sunday night! Eeek!

.2lbs is still a loss! That is fantastic! Don't worry about the weekend at the parents'. Just eat as well as you can, and don't worry about going high on the cals. Could be the rev up your metabolism might need.

well down another .2 today so maybe there is a SLOW tread going here... hope so. Slow is better than nothing, thats for sure.

I just listened to a podcast horoscope (I end up listening to quite a few different random things being at a desk most of the day!) anyway, this one told me to loosen up & go for a piece of chocolate cake today! WHAT?!? Guess I have to since its written in the stars & all. :)

Oh well hard enough passing up all these tempting bakery goodies around here without the horoscope encouraging me!
