my mother and grandmother would say I was a well brought up young lady - then I moved out of the house at 17 and well that all went to pot.. :D

Why is it that when you smell a fart, you take an extra sniff just to confirm you actually did smell something gross? My dog is driving me nuts. At least it helps control the appetite. ug...

Tried to go walk on the beach tonight & there were way too many people there for a single gal to be walking alone. I can't wait til summer is over & we get the beach back.
 
LOL!!! You are too funny. I too will take an extra wiff when I smell farts. It's like I am in disbelief that something that rotten smelling exists.

I have two small dogs, but they can let out a big dog stank.

I hear you about how expensive it is to go out and consume. I too keep thinking about how much i've invested to get all this fat! Geez, I could have paid off my students loans instead of giving it all to Jack, Ronald, Wendy, and Carl. lol
 
UG.. broke the cardinal rule of dieting.. shopped hungry today. Oops. Luckily I splurged on Angel food cake & a bunch of 100 calorie packs of stuff. Seems like the store I was in was closing them out.. that & my vanilla carnation instant breakfast that I just got back into the habit of drinking instead of drive thru breakfast....they can't stop making that stuff. grr. but still yea... too much food in my house at the moment.
 
I've got shy dogs (they stayed at my mother's house - which I may go back to within the coming two years at this point): when they fart, they look shocked (never understood that), than look at whoever is human in the room and run out to the fresh air. It's really cute, really! Particularly since they are quite lenient with the humans!
I have my moments when I'm sick of couples couples couples everywhere as a single gal... and it's particularly irritating when they act like I have a disease (since I'm still single) and they need to matchmake me with everyone they know or any man that appreciates a generous chest... *sigh* Then again I am complicated.

THANKS! Those dogs sound funny. I am always amazed at dogs' personalities. Usually good for a laugh or too.

I'm feeling hot at the moment... but its a temperature thing.. jeez 85 degrees & HUMID & I'm trying to get ready to go to a cook out! What am I thinking. I want to just stay home & were some comfy clothes that don't look that cute but make me feel good.. rather workout in the AC that sit there & eat & drink in the summer sun. Ah well.. I said I would go & now I have to.

I'm being smart & taking a spinach strawberry salad so I know there is going to be something healthy there.
 
salad was great... as was most of the rest of the food. Something about grilled salmon & tuna just makes me smile. Wasn't too exciting we all watched a 2 year old play & avoided the boss... why she feels its ok to talk shop every chance she gets I don't know. We had all agreed this would be just to get us all closer as a group & fun.. NO WORK TALK. Yet the boss was the one breaking the rule left & right. Really ruined it. Aside from that it was a beautiful house & all though the clouds threatened, the rain has yet to fall.

So now I'm back home & just spent 45 minutes on the treadmill trying to forget all the crap I have waiting for me to do tomorrow that my boss reminded me of...gee thanks. Can I have ANOTHER day off this week please?

Oh well at least I had some healthy food & a good workout to burn off the stress.
 
Maybe your boss is so into being the boss that she's forgotten all about the rest of the life. Or she might be afraid of losing her authority if you all found out that she has a life outside work. Or then, maybe she doesn't have one...
I'm glad for your workout and the food sounds delish. ;)

Sadly this happens to be the case. She is divorced & the last kid & grandkid just moved out.. & she has NOTHING to do. She moved here for work two years ago & so far hasn't made friends outside of work & with the poor attitude, she really hasn't made "Friends" at work either. I wish she would realize that its ok to have a life but THIS is her life. Which is ok too, but what happens when she has to retire in a few years. Just stinks when she assumes the rest of us have made this our whole life's focus. I mean a gal has to have some treadmill time! :)


oh well.. On to this week & looking forward to getting through it & having the weekend off!

Good going on the tread mill. Hopefully the week ahead will not be too hard to get through.

love those 100 calorie packs, so many of them to choose from. This week was the cupcakes. They are so tiny and cute. Very choclatey too.

bu they are soooo good. Next time I will get them. I need the portion control.
 
your boss probably doesn't know how to separate her being a boss and her being friendly. my boss is somewhat similar. when we as individuals organize trips she's still acting like boss on them....deciding where and when we go. until we told her to relax from the boss business for few days, she is good spirited so she just started laughing.
 
Great job getting in your exercise chica!!! You go girl! Gotta love the calorie packs, they are so much easier to manage than a whole bag with a bottomless pit to throw in. lol Have a great day!!

Oh man... I think I should remember this when I pass the aisle (sp??? my English is getting horrible) with the Shortbread biscuits... Since I showed the wonders of 'em to my roommate (who had never eaten any in her life, as well as pancakes and others wonders I fancy) we've both become addict... Pure butter eh? *sigh*

And if I ever find muffins... (sorry... I'm so greedy I come to comment and only go on about food!:doh: )

mmm food :)

I was in World Market over the weekend and they had individual packets of the walkers shortbread cookies - sadly even single serve packets wouldn't register with my brain when there are 24 packets in the box -surely i was meant to have more than one since there are so many :D
