You do look awesome, congrats,

In the meantime, you want something new to do while you are "resting" why not try some TiChi and/or QiGong (spelling, sorry)? They are supposed to "speed healing" etc., and don't use weights at all, but still make you concentrate on your muscles... (oh and you inner energy)... Coming back to lifting weights etc. it may give you a whole new awareness... no better time to try as when you can't lift, right?

thanks for your input Bedfirdfitness. I'll look those up. I'm also going to look into pilates and yoga until I get the green light to lift again :) And I'll be able to walk so I'll see if I can do the treadmill on a slight incline to get my muscles working a little bit...

I liked Tai Chi when I did it (only reason I don't now is the class isn't offered anymore when I worked out). The only thing about yoga is that it uses body weight for some poses (downward dog comes to mind) that might be considered the equivalent of lifting weights.
 
Great work!! And work it is. But it's worth while work.
