lol My friend just left this morning. I was so sad to see her go. :( But we had a really good time together. One thing I love about having visitors here is that I ALWAYS end up doing a lot more walking! Cos everyone wants to go see Big Ben and Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge, etc, etc, etc. So we did get a lot of exercise in. Oddly enough, I only reached water goal 4 days this week. Cos I didn't want to be peeing every 5 minutes while we were out, so I waited til nighttime to do my drinking. BUT I did get very close on the days I didn't reach.

I slipped up quite a bit this week. I really need to learn to combat peer pressure. The week started out great, with me making healthy sandwiches and fruit platters. But soon, we were out and about and she wanted to try scones with clotted cream and fish and chips and go out to eat at Piccadilly Circus...so the calories really started racking up. But I am determined to get back on track. In fact I started yesterday...got myself back under my 1500 calories and today has been good so far too. :) So last week is behind me and I will focus now on this week. I'm going to try really hard to stay right around 1000 calories a day and see if I can't lose 2lbs this week to make up for last week. We shall see. :)

I leave this friday morning for Houston! I know there will be a lot of temptation waiting for me there, but I just have to remember that I have 2 weeks to space out all the foods I love and have each one at least once without going over my calories on any given day. I should be keeping pretty busy while I'm there, so hopefully there won't be much time for "boredom eating". And lord knows I will never eat chocolate in America again after having the chocolate here! So that's one thing I won't have tempting me! hahaha

OK, so this entry was a little long for my norm, I guess cos I hadn't been around in a while. Sorry I was absent there for the week, but I'm back now and I will pick up with keeping up with y'all progress again!

Nice catching up with your diary Mon! You have the right attitude. Just space those favorites out and you'll do great.

Well, I already got rid of that pound I gained. haha I knew I would...it was a pound that didn't really want to be there to begin with. :p lol I have been feeling much better since I've started back on track again and yesterday I did something truly extraordinary for me--I decided I needed a bit of chocolate, but I was afraid to open this candy bar for fear I would devour the whole thing...but I couldn't stop thinking about it til I just had a piece. So I opened it, broke off my 3 squares and before even eating them, I wrapped the candy bar back up, put it away out of sight, had my 3 pieces and felt much better. :) What's best is that I didn't end with that yucky over-full, over-indulged, guilty feeling. I just felt like I had filled my craving and it was nice.

Anyway, today has been good as well. Last 3 days, I've kept within 1100 calories. So i'm quite proud! :D

well if you feel you need chocolate thats the way to do it.........

everyone says moderation moderation but when your sitting there looking at the hole thing, It's just not that easy...... way to go....
 
You kicked that chocolate's behind!! Woohoo!! I've had a package of mini-kisses in my purses for over a month - I've not touched it just to prove I have some willpower. :D:D
