MomtoMandK's Diary-Getting my life BACK!

When you told me what you were at... though my day was spiralling down the 7 layers of hell... that was the bright spot for me! I know you've been sick and haven't been able to do much...and to see that you still can shed the pounds..that's just awesome babe! I'm so happy that we've changed everything about how we live... You're doing the most AWESOME job...and thanks for being there for me too! You'll never understand how much I appreciate you!

Wooohoo girl that is fantastic!! You're right there with me!! Wanna race?!..lol
Keep up the great work!! :D:D:D:D

Thanks so much :D:D:D

I'm not sure how much competition I'll be.... but I'm up to the challenge :D I didn't realize how close we are now! lol...and we're both headed the same direction....woohoo! I think I'll cry when I get to 260!

Ok, so today was NOT a good day for me....don't get me wrong. I ate great and we even went for a walk though I was NOT feeling well! Mostly I was soooo sick today....but am also down. Just really dragging today. Was rough.....

I am so happy though...I bought over $50 worth of chicken today and only paid $22!!! It was on sale at a local grocery store for $1.79/lb. It is really nice too! Soooo, I got 7 flats worth. Brought them home and put them individually in ziploc bags. Each chicken breast serves dh and I. So it's perfect! A couple of them are so big that they are THREE servings! I decided to help keep track of the weight/size of each easier, I would weigh them and write with a jiffy marker on the bag they were in. Worked GREAT! I weighed them on my shipping scale, and wrote on them. Then I can instantly know how many servings it is.

I am so happy were were able to get some meat at a decent price and that will last us a LOT of meals!!!! AND there was hardly ANY fat on them! We LOOOOOOOOVE chicken ;) woohoo!

Hopefully I am feeling better tomorrow. I feel awful right now. Keep trying to eat different things(all healthy stuff). I'll have a nibble and come to an immediate conclusion that that was NOT a good idea! ugh!

Off to get the kids in bed....and try and get some food down....might just have to settle for ginger ale......

You're both doing so great! What an inspiration to everyone, I really mean it. It's a pleasure to read your diaries and see the support going back and forth between the two of you.

I also love chicken - my favourite meal at the moment is a chicken breast, with a bit of sweet chili sauce, fried in a pan (oil free), and some steamed vegies on the side. I buy bulk whenever I can, it seems like a lot of money to lay out in one hit, but you can save so much!

I actually bought a whole lamb, 22kg (44lb). It cost me $120.00 but I ended up with months and months worth of nice meat, and over $300.00 or so, possible more, in various cuts. Yum! The butcher cut it all up and vacuum sealed it into bags for me.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I got sick when I changed the way I was eating, and I just think it was my body having some initial troubles with my new way of living before it all settled down again.

Hon, you did awesome today..despite how badly you felt! I wanted you to know that, I couldn't have done the work out this weekend without your support! Though you are sick, you still have an amazing outlook on things and you're wonderful...just wonderful! Plus your eye for deals rocks too! I love you and I'm so glad that we're doing this together...not sure I'd be able to continue some days without you backing me...or telling me that a little sweet snack won't break the camels back.... I love you!

lol......yes...it certainly does. I was watching an interview with a lady on Oprah the other day....she was from somewhere up there. They got down to -80F windchill(I think she actually said something like -110F, but I can't remember....I hate it when people overtell their stories!). I can't even imagine!

It's true! I was raised in a family of 8, so my parents ALWAYS bought in bulk! As soon as we move to Canada I can get a LOT of meat directly from the farmers then. Saving tons of money. My aunt has family there that raises beef, and we can get a great deal. And there are a few elk and buffalo farms around there too. Great deals on that too

Glad we can inspire.........it's nice to know you have someone in your corner 100% of the time. And even more wonderul when it's your significant other....He's a wonderful man!

Yeah...feeling under the weather. Have been working on a few things and trying to keep the house under control....hard when you aren't feeling well and feel like doing nothing!

Thanks OHD....

I guess it's easy when you have found that perfect other half that makes you whole :) We are so opposite in sooo many ways! But he is the perfect man for me. We have gone through our share of struggles over the last few years....We lost everything last spring......we sold everything we could, he moved in with his grandma, and I took the kids and went up to Canada. We were apart for FOUR months while he tried to get us back on our feet. It was HELL!! But it's stuff like that that has made us stronger and has pulled us together as a couple and a family.

I couldn't ask for a better father, husband or friend.....
