MJ's Road To Fitness

Whattttttt???? PAUSE!!! "oh hell NO!" ...That biatch Jillian is gonna KILL you if she knows you are pausing her ass!!!

...I love when she says "just when you feel like hitting the stop button and turning this Dvd off..don't even think about it! Why did you buy this? TO GET RESULTS!"

LOL! I only hit pause so I can finish my reps, otherwise they would go on without me. I don't stop moving though, so perhaps she would just yell at me to move my ass!! LOL

You inspired me to go for a long bike ride this weekend so thank you for the inspiration! I agree I have not been giving it my all and am ready to step up the exercise again this week! Thanks for the motivation!

Awe, thanks girl! Isn't biking so relaxing? I love it. I could bike all day if my backside didn't start hurting so bad. I just love being outdoors with nature, makes me feel free. wheeeeee!!!:willy_nilly:

Hey! Well I think pausing it is better than just letting it run and you standing there taking a break! lol... at least you'd still be doing the whole workout. Before you know it you won't have to pause it at all!

I finally got my hubby to put my bike together (the front wheel was off for storage purposes). He also had to pump the tires and grease the chain. So now it's ready to go!

I can not keep up with Jillian's workout yet, soon though, there will be no more pausing! LOL I always finish the workout, just have to pause to catch up with the group on the DVD. They are pretty ripped.

Oh, you got your bike up and running? Let me know when you take it out.

Hi MJ! Tell me more about this mini-triathlon you are doing! What are the distances and how much are you training in each discipline?

I did a sprint triathlon last year as a reward for all the weight I had lost up to that point. It was awesome.

Derrick

Mermaid Triathlon Specific:
.25mile (400m) Swim
11mile Bike
2.5mile Run

Hi Derrick! Thanks for stopping by!

So far I am taking my road bike outdoors for my bike training. As for the run I have been on the treadmill, but I need to get myself out on the track and really pull my weight so I can build more muscle. As for swim, no training yet. Just joined a gym with a pool last week, so that is next on the list.

Good for you for doing a sprint! How was the distance on that?

Wednesday Update:

I've been rather busy lately and have not made it onto the forum much. Will try to be better in the near future.

I have a really busy week ahead. Two first dates this weekend and also two birthday parties to attend. I have a 3rd guy who wants a date but not sure I am going to meet him. He is on the grounded list for now as he was a bad boy on the phone.

I joined 24hr last week, so now I have no excuse not to start my swimming training.

I just bought a swimsuit, oh lord!!! My boobs were busting out of my old one, so I did the right thing and bought a larger suit for now. It's one of those Delta Burke swimsuits and it's so flattering! Yay!!! Check it out:
I bought it at Ross for $22.00. I LOVE IT! It even has a high back on it, so no back flab like traditional scoop back swimsuits.

So all I need to do now is find out a good time to go in to swim when I won't be surrounded by people. I prefer to swim in a less crowded environment.

So I will be back to post more updates! I need to get off my butt today and work out. These dates this weekend have me being really good on food also.

Have a great week everyone and thanks for stopping by to say hello to me. Hugs!!

Do the kids have bikes also? I see little families out biking all the time, it's adorable.

Lol my kids are a bit young for their own bikes my daughter is only 3 she can go backwards on a bike easier then forward but it's a start...my son is 15 month and only started the walking thing so we will give him a few years! I have a trailer that I attach to the back of my bike and I just go facing traffic so that nothing can hit from behind. I get to bike while dragging about 65lb behind me!!!

I am glad to see you back on here! Keep up all the good training!

LOL! So you were being literal when you said you were 'dragging' the kids along! I get it!! I see those little trailer things here also, so cute!

Wow, that must be a good workout dragging along 65lbs, is that just the kids weight? What about the trailer weight too? You go girl!!! That takes skills!

I do not drive on roads with traffic, I am way to scared of being hit by a car. I stick to the trails in the parks. I myself have a hard time seeing people on bikes at times, so in that respect I take extra caution. You are brave out there going against traffic!

Now there's a girl after my own heart!! Pack em in! Got to keep your options open! Enjoy!

I live out in the middle of nowhere, Seriously I don't think there is even 3000 people living in that tiny village, the only traffic is on main street where I live but I usually go straight to the back roads where there is no local traffic. We don't have any bike paths near so back roads have to do....I sometimes wish I was back living in the city but I prefer raising the kids out in the country, when they are teenagers they can't just get on a city bus and go where ever cause we don't have that type of bus service lol! 65lb plus about 5lb for the trailer itself.....I hate going up hill!!!! I go against traffic so I always know what is comming my way, there is no way I trust drivers when it comes to my kids safety!

HEEEEY MJB!

The challenge is over! I have no idea what I am going to do to fill in my Tuesday evenings now. I wanted to thank you again for putting so much time into it week after week. Its MUCH appreciated!

Have a great weekend!

Wow, that is a tiny village! Country life can be quite relaxing! Maybe when I get a hubby I will retreat into the mountains or woods. Right now I would go bonkers out in the country.

I bet it is really nice riding out there.

Awe, thanks Andy for kicking butt on the challenge! You were amazing!!

What to do on Tuesday?? I know! Me too, what will I do??? Jillian's new show comes on soon on Tuesday's at 10pm, so late. So I will probably be watching that on Wednesday.

Thursday Update:

Spent the whole day debating with myself if I was going to work out. I swear I don't know why I do that to myself. I end up feeling awful about myself if I don't do it.

So although it was late, I hit the gym till a little after 9pm tonight. Yay!

Today's Workout
65 minutes Treadmill (3.25 miles)

Was moving kind of slow today, but at least I got it going.

Trying to fight the bulge. Signed up for a speed dating event next Friday where I sit with 12 men, at 6 minutes each. It's boosting my motivation to drop some poundage.

Will be back later to post an update. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

That speed dating sounds so fun! I wish I would have tried that before I got engaged - I guess it's too late now, lol. I could always go and look for my sister. She's too shy to go to one of those things and is almost 35 and just feeling sorry for herself not having a boyfriend but she doesn't go out or try to meet anyone. She doesn't have any interests or hobbies and she has already dated all the possible options at her work so how does she expect she's going to find someone. Anyway sorry to rant that in your journal!
I love that you have confidence to go to one of those things though and guys are totally turned on by that! I bet your confidence will be even higher is you lose a couple pounds so keep it up!! Getting to the gym after 9pm is dedication!!! Have a great weekend!

Some days I still go bonkers! Nothing is opened past 6pm unless I drive like 20 min out! I don't get the more relaxing for a weekend mabe lol long term not so much ;) depends on what you like I guess!

Dang MJB, I love the speed date idea! I dont think I have the guts for it, but it sounds like it could be really interesting! Hope you come back with some interesting stuff to report :p

Have a nice 3 day weekend!
