mixing protein powder and oatmeal for after workout

wot do u guys think, i got this protein powder its 32g protein and only 18g carbohydrate, now i know i need more carbohydrate than protein if i want to bulk up, so i was thinking of mixing my protein powder with oatmeal, which would give me 32g protein and 35-40g carbohydrate, and it would make the oatmeal taste good for once, has anyone else tried this and does it work?
 
I've done something like that before... the only thing is that it makes the shake too thick... and it works best if you cook the oatmeal before you put it in the shake but then it will be hot... so it comes with its problems... try adding some cereal to your shake, that has worked for me... milk, protein, special K, and some fruit. maybe a bit of peanut butter as well... give it a go!
 
If you make the oatmeal in advance and cool it a bit should be fine.

You could also mix the protein normally and pour onto any dry cereal, that seems not too bad to me. Or throw some berries or other fruits into the blender, or mix it with juice instead of water. Lots of ways to add carbs in there.
