Miss Ladybugs Diary

Thanks Bell!! I'm seriously overjoyed and finally something had to give and it did!! I just can't believe it took my body so long to finally do something. My body is strange that's all I can say.:sifone:

FIVE POUNDS KIM!!!!!
That is AWESOME!!!!!
:party::party::party:
You ROCK!!!

Side note~
Amy I am glad to hear that your Okay! How scary......I don't know that I could ever live in the heart of Tornado Alley. We are just on the side of it and I get enough heart wrenching scares from that. Yikes!!!
Again glad to hear all is well with you and yours.

Thanks so much for the concern Bella! It's like this every year. I actually grew up in a small town of Pleasant Plains and since it's flat there, we always have horrible tornados. A few years ago 29 tornadoes ripped through the state in one night. We got a call that my friend's house was destroyed and they couldn't find her or her little brother. My dad and I jumped in teh truck to go look for them but didn't know that a SECOND tornado was going to rip through AGAIN. We were driving down the road and the lightning flashed. When it did we saw a HUGE twister right in front of us about .5-1.0 mile away. Dad slammed on his brakes and shoved me into the floor of the truck before it got to us. Thank God it passed to the right or we would have never made it. Our 4x4 truck was sliding sideways on the street and almost dumped us into the ditch. The pressure was so strong my ears were popping. Since then I haven't been afraid of storms or tornados. It should be the opposite, I should be terrified of them!

I think when I would have got out of that truck I woulda been wipin' my butt!!!! LOL
Holy Cow!!!!
All I can say is you are way tougher than I am.

Wow Kim, congrats! That's quite the accomplishment.

Thanks Steve O' Stud Puppy!! I appreciate it! I'm thinking it was the change in diet that really did it for me! We will see after next weeks weigh in. I'm just grateful!

That weekend should work for me. Book your tickets, ladies. :D Well--let me check availability for the hotel room first..lol. That is peak season.

Amy--soo sorry about the tornados, but relieved you're okay--and that the big airport is okay--that could've messed up our summer plans...lol.

Aww...come on now! Steve can be an honorary biotch. :D He should be allowed to crash our weekend as long as he promises a sexy striptease for our entertainment. And gives us lots of exercise tips--like a personal training session. :D

So what do we have here? NY, PA, OK, AR, MI--I'd say Louisville, Kentucky would be the half way point..lol. :driving: Or--we could hang out at the beach on Lake Michigan. I'd finally get to see Steve in a mankini--oh yeah! :coolgleamA: I've got an idea! You could fly into Detroit, and I'd meet you at the airport and drive you up to Mackinac Island for the weekend. There are no cars on the island, so it's all bikes and horses--so peaceful. There are pubs to party in and the most beautiful scenary to hike or bike in. I worked up there for 2 summers, so I know all the cool places to go. :)

We could all share a room--minus Steve--in this hotel:

The one bedroom suite w/jacuzzi has 2 queen beds, a separate living room, and a jacuzzi for boobie soapings! Ok, bathing suits mandatory in the jacuzzi when Claudia's there...lmao. The cost is $315 per night, which is only $80per person when split 4 ways. Whaddya think?? In July and August the temp is usually in the mid-70s to mid-80s.

That sounds absolutely perfect to me. I would love to go somewhere I haven't been. I love peace and nature, we could rent bikes and go riding and stuff. This sounds totally fun. I'll definitely meet you up there either way Kimberely! Plus the weather sounds perfect for summer, here its usually in high the 80's and 90's and sticky in July and August.

Then when Kimberely has her baby, we'll meet up with our babes. Bella and Leesie are around the same age.

WOW!!! Congrats on the weight loss! That is definitely something to be proud of. I'm proud of you! You are a true inspiration to me to get to my goal for summer. :) **hugs**

Ooh! Play date!!!

I am so psyched about this trip. I will be looking at flights next week for that weekend.

Okay, So are we all staying at the Inn?? are we all getting separate rooms?? I'm confused? I tried to load the website here at my house, but crap I live in the sticks and we don't have high speed internet it took forever and it didn't load right, man downfall of living in the sticks! I did glance at it during lunch and it looked gorgeous! I'm so in but I really need to check out the location so I can scope tickets. I wish somebody was online to help me out on this one. DARN IT!! Tomorrow I'm going to the Spring Open house at the lavender farm, I missed the winter open house and my sister is going with me this time and she has never been there before, I"m so excited. And of course Sunday is our Brunch at the winery, mmmm I can't wait! Hey, are there any wineries close to this INN???I would love to do a tour, that would be so wonderful, we are going to have a blast!

5 pounds!!!

With as hard as you work, you completely deserve that!!!!!!

Great job!!!!!

:D

Ahhh thanks so much, that was really sweet of you to say!! I feel like I work hard every week, and finally a week that paid off, all I can say is it's about darn time! Nice to see you !!

Ok girls! I've been thinking. As I will hopefully be preggers by our getaway, I'll be peeing all the damn time..hahaa. So, 4 of us sharing one bath is not a pleasant thought..lmao. How about we get 2 rooms instead--it'll still be the same price b/c it won't be a suite. Here are a few options:

1. Main Street Inn--(as mentioned before)2 rooms w/2 queen beds in each room for $87.50per person per night. This is located right in the middle of downtown, so it'll probably be a bit noisy--although the clip clop of horses makes you think you've woken up in a different century. :D I spent a summer in a room over looking main street, and it wasn't so bad.

2. Inn on Mackinac--2 rooms w/2 beds each for $90 p/person p/night or 2 rooms with 1 queen bed for $72p/person p/night. This place is on the main street, but in a quieter area than the first inn. It also has a small pool area which you can see in the pics.

3. Sunset Condos--1 br condo suite (actually 2brms) for all of us. $73.75 p/person p/night. Here's their website with floor plan--http://www.mackinacresortmanagement.com/ We'd each have our own bed plus a kitchenette--2 bathrooms. What's different about this place is it's not right in the thick of things. The downtown area can be very noisy, and this is 1.5miles from there. Plus they have great lake views and a big outdoor swimming pool--check out the pics:

To get to #3 we'd either have to walk the 1.5 miles from town, bike it, or get a horse drawn taxi (best option when straggling home drunk). Oh shit! I just realized that if I'm preggers I won't be able to drink! Goddammit!! :cuss:

I'm so excited about this trip! We are going to have soooo much fun. Oh, and you can rent tandem bikes, too if that interests you--it's cheaper than renting 4 bikes, and it's half the work..hahaha I will warn you that like any touristy island, it's damn expensive. The ferry to get there is about $23 roundtrip per person, then the carriage tours are another $20 or so, then food, of course, is kinda pricey, but not too bad. Then there's Fort Mackinac, which is more $$..lol But we can make it dirt cheap if you want--I can arrange it for any budget..lmao. Since you all have to buy plane tickets, I'll pay for the gas to drive up there and back. It's 4hrs from the Detroit airport.
