Hey Kim, hope this message finds you well :).

Well its 60 degrees here too, so hitting records and roasting at the office since the building seemed to be running the heat or something.

I'm so glad you're eating more and feeling better, I bet it'll help move the weight along. I also desperately want to fit into a smaller size jeans, isn't that all that really matters?! I'd take a smaller size jean anyday, but alas, my jeans are actually tighter from my Christmas binge.

I sure hope so! I think I was eating to little calories before as I've been increasing them the past month and feel much better!!
Feeling much better has to be a good sign. :)

Thanks for reminding me about mustard!! I love wholegrain mustard. M-mmm - and a bunch of other tangy virtually-no-cal add ons. I'm feeling happy just contemplating. :D

I had a great workout last night OH YEAH!!!!!!!! I got there in time to run around the indoor track a few times and then take the 30 minute circuit training class, then my hour long Body Jam, OOOOO EEEEE I was tired afterwords!

We had a bad hail storm come through last night so needless to say, I did not sleep really well and I'm a little tired today. I'm still going to the gym after work, but will probably just run on the elliptical or arc trainer and maybe ride the bike, we will see. I ate REALLY good yesterday and plan on having another good one today!!

Breakfast: 1 1/2 C cornflake/granola with 1 C 1% milk
2 C coffee, 4 tsp sugar

Snack: packet of Oatmeal

Lunch: Grilled Chicken breast, grilled onions/green peppers and 2 small tortillas, NO SAUCE WATER, WATER, WATER

afternoon snack: yogurt

Dinner: Turkey breast, onion, steamed veggies and maybe a baked sweet potato, mmmmmmm can't wait!

Well that's it folks, I hope the scale gods are good to me on Friday.

Thanks Mal! it's funny once I get home, IF I sit down, my body does not want to get back up. Also, by working out late in the day, my dinners are being eating later, not always a good thing, I guess you have to take the good with the bad and get over it right? I don't know how those people who don't eat after 6pm do it, I would go stir crazy!
 
bugs?? I hear your spiders look more like rats there, HUGE! my cousins live in Wichita falls and well my sister and their family got together somewhere on the line between OK/TX they rented a party barge and well at night, they said that boat was covered with HUGE spiders, it was nasty!! I'm not scared of spiders, but if they are larger than a wolf spider/tarantula, NO WAY Jose, Kim don't play that.

Good to see your feeling better and your bite is improving. Are you walking today??

OMG I hated going there bc of the stinky oil smell from all the riggs, and the tarantulas were just everywhere!
I remember one time when she picked us up from the airport and we were in her truck heading to her house, there were thousands of them in the desert/on the road. My mom started to roll down the window and I screamed NOOOOOOOOO.....They will hop in here!!!
I was around 4-5..lol

We have had this wind for 4 days now.
I had to take all my windchimes down and welcome signs down outside. lol
I've had to chase my welcome mats down a few times as well.

I guess there is a downside to eating late, but I think exercising just before dinner helps me feel less like eating. Often I feel like I don't want to start, because I'm feeling hungry, but maybe eat something small and light, and start anyway, and I actually feel less hungry by the time I'm finished.

I get it about not wanting to get back up after the busy day too!! :D
 
Feli, I'm just the opposite, after I work out hard for an hour or two at the gym, I come home and I'm STARVING. Luckily, I'm not hungry for junk food, just good protein, so I make a low fat/calorie turkey sandwich or something like that to curb the craving, but rarely have I been coming home after working out not hungry. LOL LOL

Tx Sunshine: Yeah those spiders and gross!!!!!!!! Winds have been bad here for about the past 2-3 days, today it's bad again, I can see some blue sky, but the winds are about 15-20 miles per hr and it's frigid again about 38-40 outside. STRANGE weather indeed!!
 
The weather here is all jacked up too. I had to meet with another firm this morning and their office is in the heart of downtown Little Rock. I had to park six blocks away because I couldn't find a parking space and ended up walking through 20 mph winds and rain there and back. AND it's 67 degrees outside so I felt all sticky and gross. I wish it would just decide whether it wants to be cold or warm and muggy already!

I too would rather eat after my workout instead of before. I end up being less hungry afterwards and only crave protein.

I go straight from work to jazzercise class so I don't get home until 715-730pm. I planned it that way because like you said - if I go home and sit down there's no way I'm going to want to get up and go to class. Dinner at 8pm isn't the best so I try to keep it simple. Plus I try to get most of my calories in throughout the day with a good breakfast, lunch and snacks. When I get home after exercising I feel good about what I've just accomplished so I don't want to fill up my body with empty calories.

YEAH, that's exactly how I feel, is this Winter or is this Spring, make up your mind already, my body can't take this stuff! Hey, I'm going to be in Fort Smith the last weekend of this month. My aunt lives there and well my sister is doing a pampered chef party for her, so we are going up early Saturday and staying the night and coming home Sunday, I can't wait!! it should be a lot of fun. I do hope the weather is calm and sunny. YEAH RIGHT

I try to put a lot calories in during the day, but It's hard with work, and I eat at my desk a lot instead of going out to lunch, and I hate having a mouth full or hand full of food when brokers come by or call me. LOL LOL Plus, I'm just not as hungry throughout the day, I actually "FEEL" hunger at night after working out the most. And you are so right, if I'm eating low fat/low calorie food items, its all good. I don't think I've ever went home after a workout and ate ice cream or crud before, always something with nutritional value, my body begs for it. You know I thought about buying that protein powder for work, maybe I should buy it for home and use that those nights when I have to eat late, but don't want a whole lot, I might just try that. You know Slim fast shakes are not that bad, I guess I could always go that direction twice a week. LOL LOL I'm always trying to come up with a better way. Hmmmm have to think on this one.

Your doing a good job getting back into the swing from reading your diary. Look at the cardio your doing again, OH YEAH!! I've missed you too!! I know we all have busy lives and it's hard some days getting on here to post, so I know if you could you would, but family and home/work come first. Just nice to see you back again. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm off to change for the gym, I'm feeling a bit sluggish today, so that means I'll probably run 4 miles on the elliptical and maybe ride the bike a little and head home. I'm TIRED!! need some good shut eye tonight, let's hope I get some. Please Oh please, NO STORMS.

Hi Kim! Don't push yourself too hard when you are feeling tired. Remember its your body's way of telling to slow down...and taking a break is often a good thing...yeah, I know, you know this...but sometimes it helps to hear it again.....and again (at least for me... ;-) )

no storms... send 'em my way we still need the rain & I love a good thunderstorm...once in a while preferably in the day light! Sorry you had a rough night. Maybe the exercise will energize you up so you are ready for the day. Hope its a good one.
 
I slept okay last night, better than the night before, but still I was woke up by my little poochy who needed to go outside at 2:30 am. DARN that dog, he better get a grip, or I'm going to leave his little buns out there. LOL LOL Nahhhh, I couldn't do that to him, it's to darn cold. I worked out hard again yesterday, I ran on the elliptical for 35 minutes burned it said 425 calories, then I jumped on the Stair climber for another 20 minutes or so, that about wore me out!!! My legs are a little tired and achy today, but I'm just doing my One Hour Body Jam class tonight so I should be fine.

My H had to take his puppy our other boy dog to the vet today, I'm extremely concerned as we think he might have cancer, he told me that when he dropped him off at the vet, which happens to be one of my H's friends, she told him that if it's cancer what does he want to do, my H said put him down, I don't want him suffering, when he told me that, my stomach had a not and I seriously felt like I was going to puke and cry at the same time. He LOVES this dog, he has had Squeege since he was a baby and he's now 13 years old, I sure hope it's something else maybe a infection, OH GOSH I can't handle this today if he calls me in an hour when the blood results come back and tells me the worst, I will leave work as I will be a mess. My dogs our like our kids, we treat them all very special and they hold a dear place in our hearts, I'm just besides myself on this.

Well, that's about it for now, I'm going to get some work done and try to have a positive attitude. I'll check in later and give you the scoop. Hugs to you all!

As far as the food after exercise is concerned. I do feel hungry afterwards - just not the same way as I do before hand. It doesnt' seem urgent any more and I'm more easily satisfied I suppose. Also, when I exercise in the evenings I prepare food first, then exercise, then eat. I hate to come home and after still get the food ready!!

I hope all is well with Squeege.
