Oh I'm sooo glad your power's back on. I kept thinking over the weekend that I hoped the reason you weren't online wasn't because your power was still out, but that it was on and you were really busy sleeping and getting things caught up around the house. I'm glad that was the case. Yay! Things will be back to normal for my twin. I'm so happy for ya!! :hug2:

Yeah, I'm just grateful we have a place to live and food in the refridge, Christmas is so over the top anymore, people have forgotten about the true meaning, but I'll celebrate it that's for sure!

Yeah isn't Wishes the best for sending me such a huge gift. AND.... I'll take your nice hot cup of cocoa too, that will top it all off as a perfect day. AHHHH such wonderful friends around here.

HUGS To you too twin, I can't wait for things to start getting back to normal, I have a few things to do tonight, so probably won't start back up to the gym until tomorrow. At least I haven't gained any weight back, that's a HUGE PLUS in my book. I'm hoping to be caught up here at work tomorrow also, so I have more time to take breaks and post. I'll check you later gator!!

Thanks Sister!! YEah, I had wood chips and crap all over my living room carpet from hauling in wood and not being able to see most the time, I tell you what in the woods at night with No electricity anywhere it's PITCH BLACK! real spooky in my book. BOOOOOOOO! it's all good now, HALLELUJAH!

Yeah it seems our pooch is feeling better today, YEAH! we were really worried about him. I gave all my dogs a special bone treat this morning, you know those long skinny bones that have that chewy center, they were thrilled. thanks for thinking of me!

Hi Margaret!! I'm really pleased to have power again, and to be honest with you, I'm plugging in every light when I get home too, it's so funny!! I finally got me Christmas tree up, now that we are a week from Christmas how bad is that?? But year around I always have up these white little lights around my fire place and around my dining room window, I plug them in for the ambiance all the time, plus I"m a big candle O'HOLIC so I'm always lighting candles to create that calming atmosphere, I love that kind of stuff, I'm such the romantic and my H laughs at me, because I always have those little white lights on and candles going and i have this little water feature I plug in to, it sounds so pretty when it's quiet at home. AHHHHHH I'm a water sign, what can I say. LOL

Thanks Beth!! It's taking a long time to get things rolling again, I still have gifts to buy and I just got my tree up two days ago, UGGG!! It will stay up into Jan :svengo:

Okay, I admit, I'll take the snow over ice any day of the week, but today it's 58 degrees outside, now I know why everyone keeps getting sick around here, damn weather!:willy_nilly:

Hey Sweet Thang! You don't worry or stress about getting the card here on time, I've received a bunch already and I feel like shit, because I just got my power back a few days ago, and I'm sooooo behind and haven't had a chance to send out ONE card this year, now for me thats REAL BAD! so you take your time and I'll be waiting, not just for the card, but the cute little picture your going to bless us with. AHHHHHHHHH we must be special. :grouphug: I hope your having a WONDERFUL time at home. I bet Sean is missing the hell out of you! Poor guy, he's going to rip you apart when you get back, I hope your ready for that one. LOL LOL HUGS SISTER!

You know our minds think alike, as that was EXACTLY what I said to my H last night. Do they actually have New Years cards you can buy?? Or will I need to get inventive and create one on my Hallmark program? Now that would be funny!

but most cards tend to be generic happy holidays or seasons greetigs which encompasses new years and kwaanza too actually ...

I used to be the card queen ad one year even sent ground hog day cards :)

Yeah, I love cards, and if I could afford to send them out for every holiday, you bet I would. I get a card from my girlfriend in NY about once a month, she never fails to send one, she's been doing this for about 8 years now, that girl flat out amazes me, now that's a friend for life! I just send her flowers when I can and that amazes her as she never gets them from anyone else. MAN, I'm the flower, candy basket sending fool, my husbands secretary said if I ever go Gay, she wants to marry me, LOL LOL I'm always sending him gift baskets, I'm A GIVER, I hate receiving! Unless it's something home made, love that stuff!

Yeah, I'll have to go searching this weekend for New Years cards and get those out instead, that should just freak out several people I know who usually get Christmas cards from me every year, and that little letter about what we have been up to all year, like to throw that in there for family members to get them up to speed, so much faster than writing a paragraph in every card, I have a huge family! WOW, I didn't realize you were getting the bad weather too, sorry!
 
When I have addresses, and when I had time and a good attitude, i was dangerous -I have a pile of no occassion at all cards that I'd send.. it's a fun habit.. that if you collect the cards ahead of time, on sale when cvs or other stores have their greeting card sales -it's really only the cost of postage :)

it's better than email... :D

YOUR ARE 100% right, people just don't do anything personal anymore, it's always EMAIL, I about pass out when I get a card in the mail or a letter, it's like I hit the lotto or something. I like your way of thinking Mal, no wonder your so wonderful!
