Miss Ladybugs Diary

Hi Kim

Just popping by to wish you a Merry Christmas:party:

I am a bit concerned to learn from Kimberly that there may be more bad weather in your area. I do hope that you are not affected.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Good Morning EVERYONE!!! I had a WONDERFUL Christmas, I was not home long enough the past 4 days to get online and post anything, SORRY GRINCHETTS! my weight stayed the same, so I'm really thrilled about that, I thought for sure, with the lack of gym time I've had the past three weeks I would have ballooned up about 5 pounds but I've stayed the same weight YIPPY SKIPPY. Today Aunt Flo came to town, at least she waited until after Christmas to show up, but I'm praying for all things to settle down come Jan 1st, I'm ready to hit it hard and go at it again with my body a blazing!! Our weather has been the STRANGEST ever, it's snowing today, go figure! it's not suppose to leave any accumulation, so I'm happy about that, but the last storm did leave us a little crazy! We have so much cleaning up to do in our acreage it's not even funny! But, it will get done eventually. I have a lot of work to do today, but I'll try and get by some diary's later in the day. Love and hugs to you all and I do HOPE you all had a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!

Hey there Kimmers :). Glad you had a nice holiday and that you didn't gain any weight this holiday season and despite not going to the gym. It shows that you're at your new weight set point and that you're not going back to the prior weight without a fight (meaning loads of food and no exercising for an extended period of time). Now I agree its a raging battle to get below the set point, but at least you've settled on your lower number now.

Hi sweetie. :hug2:

I've missed ya like crazy.

I'm glad to hear things are trying to get back to normal for ya..lol

Hi Kim, I'm back. You are so enthusiastic. Good job on maintaining that. I think I rested on my laurels after losing twenty pounds, that was a huge accomplishment for me and instead of keeping on going past that plateau of 180 I changed my thinking to "good enough" I can do whatever. Now I'm back up to 190 and I can't wear my jeans they are so tight. Also had computer problems and couldn't log on. So today I am starting over and I just wanted to pop in and say Hi. Your rep is stellar - 18000 plus! How much time do you spend on the forum??? I will report back when I'm done working out. Kelly

WELCOME BACK stranger!! I've missed you!!! So happy to see your back on board and go after it again. We ALL get in little slumps or times where we just say I'm tired, or I'm done for now, I was there a few times myself, but for some strange reason I kept going hard, I guess I work out hard because I like food to much and either I need to workout hard or eat a lot less or really watch what I eat, and to be honest I would rather work out more, because even though I eat pretty good with the exception of holiday weeks, I don't want to feel bad if for some reason I go out and have a cheesecake dessert or have a bowl of pasta, but I have to work out hard or all my weight will easily come back.

I've come to know that exercise will now always be a weekly part of my life, and there is NO way around it for me, I just put on weight to easily at my age. What I really want for myself is to see me make my goal weight by ONE YEAR of this forum. I have no doubt I can do it, if I really apply myself, and of course if strange stuff like "ice Storms" don't occur. LOL LOL I was without power for a week, and before that week I was sick with a sinus cold, UGGG! see little obstacles that I think are thrown in our paths to try and detour us from staying on the right road, It was the first time in a LONG time I didn't go to the gym for more than 7 days, WOW I can feel it's affects to, not good! but I'm going to the gym tonight, and I hope I can get back on pace come next week.

Well, I'm going to continue to stop by your diary and offer my support and try to keep you motivated. I'm truly happy your back!!

Lots of love to ya girl!!
Kim

Hi Kim!

Glad to hear things are going well for ya during the holiday time of lots of food and drink! I have not gone overboard, but everywhere I turn is a basket of cookies, or candy or some other delicious dessert! Nibble, nibble...and suddenly my pants are too tight! :(

It does not help that we hosted the family Christmas Eve dinner which was italian fare (and still some left). Bruce and I both are winding up to get back in the game on January 2d! :)

Here's to meeting our goals in 2008!

Hey Kim!! You are super enthusiastic as usual! It's great that you didn't gain anything and have jumped right back into your routine. I am doing the same.

The weather is crazy here too. We go a few days with 60 degree weather and then today it's wet, cold and may snow. I don't know how to dress each day!

Did you have a nice christmas?

Oh yeah! I'm all for getting back on track come Jan 2nd! I'm going to the gym tonight, but trust me, I'm not going to over do it!, I'm just trying to burn some extra calories, so when I have those little pieces of chocolate tonight I won't feel so bad. LOL LOL LMAO! Chocolate is ALL OVER my house right now, OH MY WORD! somebody at my H's work thought it would be nice to send my H home with a "HUGE" gift bag of all different types of chocolate stuff, nuts, candies, and geez tons and tons of sweets, sometimes you just have to have chocolate you know?? LOL LOL

All joking a side, I need to buckle down again and get at it! Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR if I don't talk to you before then.

Hey Girl!! I had a very, very nice Christmas! everyone was happy and had a good time! I hope yours was a good one also, which I'm most certain it was!!

Your daughter has the right idea, one a day is PERFECT! And surely you won't put on any extra weight doing that, I think I checked the package on most of ours and they are like 60 calories each or 6 pieces for 120 calories, so no biggy! But your right too, it's easy to just eat about 10 in one sitting, they just scream at you to to eat them I know!! LOL LOL

Hey Kimmers, did you get to the gym last night?

Funny you should ask that question. My H is off for two weeks, they close his business down for that time, so everyone is off. Well, he was actually in my neck of the woods last night when I got off of work, so he stopped in and said he wanted to take me to dinner, I NEVER refuse dinner on a weekday with my H, as it rarely happens, because we are usually BOTH AT WORK and he works North of OKC and I work South of OKC, so it's really hard for us to hook up for dinner on a weekday, so to answer your question, "NO", BUT.... I did get home early enough to spend the last two hour straight of my night cleaning, and I mean "cleaning" I vacuumed the entire house, it needed it BAD! every room is carpet except for the bathrooms and kitchen of course. It's probably 2000 sq ft of carpet. LOL LOL then I did laundry, cleaned the bathroom, did the dishes, put away stuff and well, I was WHIPPED~ so I think I burned my dinner off at least! I'm going tonight, so I should be fine! I'm really excited about going, I was a little disappointed to be truthful that I didn't get to go last night. But, HONEY TIME is number one in my book. LOL LOL Did you work out??????

So Glad you and hubby got some special time sweetie! :hug2:

Don't worry, you burned those cals off for sure!

I know I burn a ton when vacuuming bc we also have tons of carpet. Takes 40 mins to vacuum. {That also includes doing the furniture and throw pillows bc of pet hair..lol}

I checked at a site and it said the cals burned were 475!!

That doesn't include everything else!

Cleaning and vacuuming is exercise! :D

You have a Great Friday!!

Luv Ya!

:hug2:

Hey girl, I dont know where you found the energy to do all that after a days work and a dinner out. "Better you than me" is a phrase that comes to mind. I'm just gearing up to start my damn cleaning. I have to vacuum AND mop as I have all floors. Be well :).

YES MAM!! Exercise is anything you do that is non stop for a good period of time and raises the heart rate! I say I raised my rate a tad last night, shiat! I didn't think I would ever get it all done, and to be honest with you, I was afraid to stop for 2 seconds, because I knew if I did, I would never get back up. WHEWWWW! but it less I'll have to do this weekend, thank goodness. And yes, I'm cleaning pet hair DAILY! I hate those damn cats!

Your so funny!! I don't know where my energy comes from most days, I just put my mind to something and then wella it's there! I just knew it was something I couldn't wait a day longer, and my bedding was needing a freshing up last weekend, so needless to say I wasn't about to wait one more darn night! And I have dark carpets and any lint, hair or piece of paper shows up on it like a sore thumb, granted at least the dirt doesn't show. LOL LOL
Mopping SUCKS! And yes, I finally broke down and bought one of those Swiffer mops, BEST thing I ever did, so much easier and no bucket and mop to ring out, HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!:Angel_anim:
