Miss Ladybugs Diary

I'm feeling much better today!! I do have a little chest congestion, but at least I have no sinus headache and I have more energy. WOO-HOO last nights party was a BLAST!! It was at my sisters and her house was all decorated beautifully with lights and candles, it was so gorgeous!! Everyone showed up, there are 6 of us girls, we all figured we have been doing this progressive dinner since 2001, this year we stayed at one house instead of traveling to each persons home, we wanted to make it a little simple and it was a great idea. We all bring gifts for eachother, that is so much fun!! And we all bring something, like Joyce brought the salad and boy did she ever, it was awesome, baby spinach with romaine and iceberg and she cut up tomatoes, onion, carrots, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, croutons and about 7 different salad dressings, I hate fat free Italian, mmm My favorite. Janet brought Two different types of bread and a bottle of wine. Cheri brought the alcohol, 3 bottles of different wine, and a bottle of champagne. Sandy brought the dessert, an HUGE assortment of bite size cheesecakes, oh my WORD, I did the appetizers, just a lot of good stuff and my sister Michele made the main course, Chicken stuffed and baked, twice baked potatoes and steamed whole long green beans, OH BOY, it was FANTASTIC, we drank, ate, talked and laughed our asses off for hours. I got home around 11:30 and went straight to bed. My H got up early he had a football tournament today, so far he's in the championship game but has to wait another 2 hours to find out who they will play for the trophies, woooo,he so cute in his little outfit, go to love it!!

I made a fire and some hot tea, and I'm getting ready to go curl up on the rocker (has heat and massage in it) and fine a GOOD MOVIE or buy one off pay per view. LOL LOL it's cold out about 38 right now, it's supposed to start icing up tonight, so I'm getting prepared for it. YUK, hate that stuff!

I asked my H to stop by the store on his way back home tonight and pick me up something to put in my hot chocolate, like Bailey's or something yummy, we will see what he shows up with. LOL LOL Well, I'm about worn out, so I'll stop by diary's tomorrow okay. Love you girls!!! thanks for being such sweethearts!! Hope you all had a good week!

I LOVE fat free italian, I think it said I hate it, but it should say LOVE IT. And I'm going to FIND a good movie to buy, not fine. LOL

And that was GOT TO LOVE it, not go to love it. OIY!! I need to pay more attention, sorry!!

Glad you had so much fun last night! Your evening sounds very enjoyable. I hope H gets you drunk and has his way with ya--not that he needs to get you drunk in order to do that, though. ;)

No, we're not twins--we just seem to have a lot in common--like the same name. MLB does have twin sons, though. :) They are the same age as you.
 
I am glad you're feeling better than you were. It's sounds like you have been doing a good job of taking good care of yourself as you should.

The party sounded perfect!! I love girl parties!!

I hope the rest of your horrible bug evaporated with the yummy stuff in your coffee!! :)

Hey Kim! What a fun party! Gosh...sounds like a great night for you all. What idd hubby end up bringing you home for your coffee...I love Baileys...and Buttershots...yum!

It was 42 when I left for work this morning...and I live more coastal now, where it it not supposed to get that cold...there were mornings last winter when we lived in Poway (northern inland) when it would be 26 degrees brrrrrr...this is San Diego?? LOL!

Hey girl, you have my mouth watering describing the food at the party. Yummmmm! Glad you've lost so many inches you're fitting into your old clothes, that is SOLID proof right there. Did everyone at the party notice, or do you see them regularly anyway? Take care luv :).
 
Yay for losing inches! And DOUBLE YAY for fitting in to old clothes!! That is just the BEST, isn't it?!!!

As often and as hard as you work out, I am suprised that you are not thinking of joining some Olympic team or something like that. Keep up the super work!
 
Well, thanks everyone for stopping by and giving me all the thumbs up on the inches lost, I feel much,much better but........ We have been without power for two days now, can you believe it?? I'll post pictures of the war zone later when we get power back as it literally looks as if someone came by with a huge wrecking ball and ice blower and crushed all the trees and sprayed three inch think layers of ice everywhere, it's incredible. It's cold and well I have no water. DAMN DAMN! my gym is without power too, so no working out there, I'm so done with this crap, CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!! I drove into work as this building is one of only a few thousand that have power in our city, can you believe it?? I guess we are all over the news, I don't know since I have NO TV. I'm sure you can only imagine my son going NUTS!! OIY! :svengo:

All I could do is PRAY, as yesterday at about 5:00am It was pitch dark outside and all I heard from snap, CRASH trees going down all around us, it was freaking scary, and even worse you don't know where they landed,because you can't see a foot in front of you. My yard looks like a war zone mess and it's going to takes weeks to get it cleaned up. I just hope we get power before tonight, because I'm starting to FILAMENT, and well I candle light is only romantic when your sharing it alone with your significant other, in a place that's warm and a nice bottle of wine and food, ummmmm candle light in a room with two teenagers, no tv, no booze and no warmth just doesn't work for me. LOL LMAO!!!! we played cards the first night, but on the 2nd night I just wanted to knock myself out! I love my sons, but you can only get caught up on stuff for a day after that, you just start getting on each others nerves, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dupe:

We have a wood burning stove, but without the blower it only heats up one living room, our house is 2500 sq ft, and if you walk past the kitchen it's like 40 degrees in there. LOL LOL Okay, people I'm slightly exaggerating, but it is colder than a witches tit. Well, I better get going, I need to get work done and fast, so I can head home and keep the stove burning. HUGS TO EVERYONE!

So sorry to hear that you are going through all this nastiness with the weather. :toetap05:
We got some ice here as well but nothing like what you guys got. In fact this morning I was looking out the window at the big maple in my back yard and the ice was so heavy on the branches that they were nearly touching the ground. I started thinking about you and hoping you and yours were okay.
Since this morning it has warmed up a bit and been raining so things are looking better here even if they are soggy.
Just be careful driving around in this stuff. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you.

Hey Kimbers! I can't believe you guys got hit so hard with the ice. I only live 4.5 hours from you and we got nothing! It's 60 degrees here and misting rain. It sounds like you are doing awesome as usual. I'll admit, I am a bit jealous!

The web's been down for the past 2 days here so I need to go catch up on everybody's diaries. Hope your power comes on today!!
