TODAY WAS A BUSY!!!!!!!!!DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean busy with a CAPITAL B, I didn't have time to do anything and I really don't have time to post this before I head out the door, but I will real fast! I wanted to say that yesterday when I got to the gym I planned on doing the same old bike 8 miles and ride elliptical 4 miles and then go home, since usually I don't have any classes that day. WELL LOW AND BELHOLD over the past weekend our gym brought in a NEW kind of equipment that they put upstairs in the Women area, we "women" have our own workout area upstairs that we can work in if people don't like to go downstairs in the HUGE area with the guys. LOL LOL I always go downstairs because we all know, I have NO SHAME in my GAME, I can care less what any of them think of me, even though they are all really nice!! :p Anyways, Upstairs they just bought this new equipment that is JUST like CURVES, you know that place for women that does that circuit training using all those machines. and well they are now doing the circuit every day, so I got to do that instead, It was AWESOME, cardio and weight stuff. JUST LOVED IT! then after it was done, my "Centergy" class was starting so I ran over there and took that class it's one hour long. (Pilate's, Yoga, Tia-Chi) OH it was so wonderful to have something else to do on Tuesday then my same old crap. I'm THRILLED, and I also found out through my friend who is a trainer there that within the next 4-5 months they are going to be starting "SPIN CLASSES" YIPPY!!!!!!!!!:rofl::rotflmao: I hear about everyone taking them on here, but I have never done one myself, so I'm totally pumped about all this new stuff, and on that note, I'm heading off to the gym for Group groove and some upper body weight training. I'll shout at you all later !! CHOW GALS & GUYS!!

How awesome that you have all that stuff available to you. We have a YMCA here but it is just your typical gym. No fancy classes. And to be honest even if they did have some kinda dance groove thing going on I would most likely hurt myself as I have absolutley no coordination.
Hence why I was never a real cheerleader. Though everyone sure woulda heard my big mouth if I had been!!!!! LOL
Oh and by the way....DH is just like any typical man. Doesn't really care what I wear but usually would prefer nothing at all!!! hahahahaha:rofl:
 
Hi Kim. Glad you have such a great gym -- that's a big incentive, I know. Sorry I've been so scarce lately, but it sounds like you're doing just fine without me, LOL. Wow, my garden is looking pretty sad now -- by the time you get here, it will look like an overgrown jungle at this rate.

i know how ya feel about the plateau thing. sheesh mines been doing that for months, up a pound, down a pound, then suddenly after weeks and weeks i drop 4lb then im back to the up/down saga .. :O

Chin up though. Better slow than never :)

I'm really blessed to have such a nice gym I know! And even more blessed to have a hubby who is paying our membership fees. OH I LOVE HIM for that. :jump: I know your busy, so don't sweat it!! I really need to get out there to get your garden in order. DARN IT!!

I wish my gym had better classes like that, your gym sounds so cool and your attitude is great!

Thanks Cita!! Yeah, this gym is really doing all it can to bring in great classes that people really want. They really listen to their members and take action to keep them. It's worth every penny to me!

I so agree with you Wishes!! It just sucks sometimes when you KNOW your working your ass off, and you see other people around you and they are dropping weight so fast and your just standing still. Ugggg!! I know it will happen, I'm just waiting patiently for that day to come! :D
 
Well, I wasn't able to get to the gym yesterday which is a RARE thing for me, but I DID do my AB roller last night so I'm not feeling to bad about it. I just had a really BUSY work week and needed to take a few extra (After hours) with no phone calls, to get everything caught up. :D Tonight, I'm not working out, instead I'm going by the nursery or Home Depot to pick up some Mums to put out on my porch, then I'll try to step on my stationary bike at home and ride 10 miles. Not sure what's on the agenda for the weekend, I know I have stuff to do at the house, but maybe I'll get to the state fair on Saturday. I weighed in this morning, don't know why and I'm a pound less than last week, but I'll confirm on Monday which is my normal weigh in day. I feel real bloated and crampy for some reason today, I know it's coming up on that time of the month, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Well, I'm off to try and read a couple diary's, I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Yes it's official that pound is gone!! and I think another 1/2 inch on the waist line this morning too, I've been measuring myself for a few weeks. I am really putting the peddle to the metal so to speak the the next two weeks, and I'm going for the gold in weight loss, I have a party coming up and I want to look great for it. I'm going to bust my ass at the gym 4 days this week, and I'm going to really hang in with the excellent all natural food and very minimal carb intake. I think I can lose 10 by then if I really, really focus and down that water like it's going out of style. Don't worry my friends, I'm NOT going to starve myself, I like food to much to do that. I'm just not eating ANY extra "junk" food for two weeks, and I'm not eating anything high in fat. Not that I do that a lot, but I do tend to eat a lot of cheese. :rofl: I'm so psyched about this I can't stand it! This weekend I really didn't do squat, I watched some football and cleaned house. Woo-Hoo how exciting right?? It was soooooo friggen nice, not to worry about doing anything, that's a first for me, usually I have a list a mile long. Okay, I did do quite a bit Saturday, but it was all good. I framed my sons senior picture and put it up, I made a "Swag" and draped it up over a huge wall hanging I have, it looks nice, I'll try and take a picture and post. I also cleaned up just "stuff" that was lying in my bedroom in a corner for months. It was a nice feeling. And the bad thing is I made chocolate chip cookies and had a few of those too. LOL LOL It's nice to splurge every now and then. The best thing on that is, I have two teenage boys and one chocoholic hubby and well those cookies were gone in one day flat!!! Thank goodness for me!! :beerchug: Well this morning I had a CUP of Raisin Bran Crunch with 1/2 cup of 1% milk. For lunch it will be veggie soup about a cup or maybe 2 cups. a small snack this afternoon and about a gallon of water if I can help it. I'm going to the gym tonight, not sure exactly what I will do, more than likely 1 Hour of Group Groove and some weight training or circuit training. :rotflmao: And Bell, I did the AB roller ever night except for Saturday night. I'm feeling much stronger in my core now and I'm ready to up it another 5 this week. I actually see a change in my abs already, I'm really pleased!! Well, I better get going I have a lot of work to get started on. I hope you all have a very wonderful and pleasant day!!

Between the inter-country language gap and the half asleep way I read this forum I actually imagined you picking up a few old dears from a nursing home and popping them out on your verandah in their rocking chairs to enjoy the sun and give them a break from aged care. LOL!

Chrysanthemums, not old folk Moms, right. :D :D

That abroller will really pay off for you - sounds like you have had a couple of installments already.

Congratulations on the loss!! The rest of the weight loss will all happen!! In the meantime, it is fantastic that your body is getting fitter and stronger!! That absolutely counts a bunch!! Imagine if it was going the other way round. :)

Isn't a wonderful thing? Okay not wonderful to use but the results are beautiful!!!! :D
Now that my new one is in I will definatley be upping my #. The other thing was really tearing up my elbows so I wasn't doing nearly as many as I would have liked.

I just read a bit of your journal. 17yr old twins! That's cool. Glad to hear you've broken that plateau--that is great. So what are you down to these days? Your BMI is looking quite good--you're not far from the normal range, so your hard work is paying off.

I do a circuit training workout 3 days a week and I love it. I go to a women only Curves-type place (not a franchise). It's a very efficient workout b/c you get the cardio and the strength training in at the same time. So it's great for busy people like yourself.

I wish I had the nerve to try the ab roller at the gym. Maybe I'll take it into the class area sometime when its not being used, but I dont feel like trying it in front of people if I've never used it. I dont do that with most other equipment, but that thing looks like I'll fly flat onto my face!

Hey Kimberly!! Yeah my sons will turn 18 on October 8th so they are almost adults, hard to believe really! :D I'm really happy I broke that last plateau, it seemed to last forever!! I'm not sure what's going on with my body lately, I never had a hard time losing in the past, even in my early 30's it was easy, I just let up on the calories and it melted off, and now I do that and I work out faithfully like a maniac and it's just not melting off anymore, it's a bit frustrating but I'll deal as I always do. ;) You asked what I was down to these days, do you mean weight wise? I'm currently at 176 or so I think, I'm not changing my ticker until I hit 175 and steady, it just seems like a waste of time you know what I mean. I need to cruise by your diary and see what's up this great Tuesday morning, C'YA!!!

Hey my sweet girlfriend of NY, You know I had that exact same feeling about the ab roller when I first tried it, and you know I did fall flat on my face a few times may I add, and your right I was very happy that I was at home in my own room and nobody saw me do it. It is soooo hard, probably the hardest piece of equipment I have ever used. ON the pound lost, I don't know really what did it, I haven't taken a break in my routine for awhile so that couldn't be it. You know the only thing I have done lately that is out of the norm is bring back my carbs, I was so staying away from pasta and bread it was like the plague to me, but in the past couple weeks, I've included pasta in at least one dish a week, and have had bread a few times a week, so maybe my body is seriously confused on my eating right now. But, it could also be the "new" gym routine I've been working on. I haven't been taking my same old same old classes, I've added weights in for the past couple weeks, remember maybe that's what it is. I'm just happy it's finally doing something.


Okay, I went to the gym yesterday and low and behold my girlfriend who signed up in Feb 2007 was in the parking lot getting ready to go in, I didn't see her exactly, I heard her, she was hooting whistles at me. LOL LOL LOL I was so happy to see her, you have no idea! We both took the circuit training class at 6pm, but before that I went on the elliptical and ran as fast as I could for 1/2 hr, it said I burned over 325 calories, I was thrilled!! The worst part is, I feel for the lady who was after me in the circuit circle, because I'm sure I left a lingering smell along my path. LOL LOL Okay, it wasn't like BO, but it was dirty sweat smell for sure. You know the difference. :doh: It felt so good to be there and workout with someone who is a dear friend of mine, she is actually my so to speak "wine buddy" meaning we go to wineries around our state and check out the list and taste wine and buy some for later. It's so much fun! I'll be going to the gym tonight to do another round of circuit training and then I'll probably take Centergy at 6:30, I just love that class, a little Tia-Chi, Pilate's, and yoga it just makes me feel so stretched and strong. OH and guess what??? Before bed last night Aunt Flo showed up, I was QUITE SURPRISED, as I really didn't have any symptoms before hand, WOW!! :jump: And to think my scale showed mercy on the day Aunt flo came, now that is the MOST ASTONISHING NEWS yet. Maybe, just maybe by next weigh in, which is next Monday morning, it will be where I want it to be 175 and HOLDING! That's my big time goal this month, I want to be there, or lower. I've earned it damn it, I eat good, I exercise regularly and I only splurge once a week, come on, MY BODY Owes me BIG TIME, what else can a person do right?? Oh and I massaged my feet this morning and did a pedicure, so my "dogs" aren't barking. Dogs meaning Feet, that's what my sis and I call them when I feet hurt or are sore. LOL LOL, Well, it's off to work and the grind stone. I need to make lots of money this month. Talk to you all later!! Have a wonderful day EVERYONE!! :jump::beating:

You're right! You absolutely have earned a dip from those scales. More must be coming - and the timing of your weight loss sure looks like a great sign that it's coming soon!!

That ab-roller sounds like a killer but one I could do with. I'm thinking that a shrinking middle would be very nice - though I don't know if I will ever be brave enough to stick it out through the falling flat on your face stage!! Good on you anyway!! You did it and it's paying off measurement wise. All those changes you've made lately are steps the right way.

Hey Feli, That ab roller is a killer, but to be honest with you, it's getting easier and easier by the week. I'm so grateful I decided to give it a shot, because I'm seeing results in my mid section already, I can't wait for another month to go by, I just want to see it getting smaller and smaller.
