Miss Ladybugs Diary

Hi Kim!

Gosh, it feels like forever since I have been in. Just wanna say that if CA and OK were closer, I'd be at your Pampered Chef party in a heartbeat! I love their products! Of course, if we were closer, we could workout together too...duh! :)

Glad you are having some success with your ab roller....I am working hard on mine in beach boot camp (BBC) with all the crunches we do! A lot of our exercises are core, so my abs have been sore (in a very good way!).

I have to go back and read your diary to catch up! I somewhat updated mine yesterday and will fill in blanks as I go this week! Talk to ya soon!

Beth

Thanks Beth for stopping by, I've missed ya!! But, I know how darn busy you have been, so don't worry about it!. :) I had a very busy weekend, I took a trip to Sam's Club to fill the freezer again. OH BOY!!! and then I stayed home most of the weekend and watched a lot of football. I love football. I watched of course college on Saturday, then I watched NFL some on Sunday. It was all so good!!!! :) I got a lot of rearranging done in my house I want it to be ready for the end of the month when I have my show. I want to do a "fall Theme" I'm going to decorate with fall colors and put out Mums on the patio and some other fall stuff, I love this time of year. I used the ab roller as I promised and it hurt like hell, which is what it always does. I've up it to 20 now and will try to increase by 5 each week, it's not like a regular crunch my friends, I can do those with ease! This is a whole different thing, and I know I'm getting stronger, because I can stretch out further now with it and still bring it back in without shaking like a crazy person. I'm really going to watch my calories this week, I want to lose at least 2 pounds, I want to lose at least 15 more by Christmas, that's my goal, and I know I can do it!! Well, it's raining again here, go figure!! we are flooded out again! But, at least there were no tornado's, so I'll take the rain any day. I hope you all have a great rest of your week. I'll check diary's as I can, It's going to be very busy here at work this week. CHOW EVERYONE!
Kim

You absolutely can do it! I'm rooting for you Kim!!!
Vanessa

Thanks Vanessa! I'm really going to try, I've hit a plateau again, and it's driving me nuts. I really need to get to counting those calories again, I think that's what did it for me the first go round. I'll need all the cheerleaders I can get right now, so stay on me, if you don't mind!! THANKS AGAIN!!!:hug2:

Okay I'm answering the call for a cheerleader! Just don't expect me to wear one of them itty bitty skirts!! LOL :rotflmao:
You CAN do it Kim. Anyone who would stick with the Ab Roller, like you have, with it hurting so much san surely lose 15 pounds by Christmas!

watching football can be good if you're the jumping about sort of person :D

Hey Wishes!! I'm am a total jumping around like a looney person when my team scores, it's crazy!! I love having a good time and really getting into the game, that's what it's all about. It would be boring otherwise, LOL my hubby thinks I'm nuts, but I think he likes the fact that he's married to a women who likes sports too. :rotflmao::jump: Plus, I ALWAYS call my mom when our team scores and we have this little chant thing we do, it's so funny!

Kimmie, can you give a weight summary so I know what's going on with you? You were on a plateau for a while and then how much did you lose and then how long for plateausville again now? Didn't you increase your cals last time and then lost? Just trying to follow along my friend (as Kimmie would say).

As for me, well I still have not moved past my plateau that I hit in June. I had just lost the 1 or 2 pounds I had regained but then again I think I put those back on last night. This weight loss BS is so up and down.

Anyway, wish I was there to attend your fall party :). You wouldn't be able to keep me away if I was within 3 hours driving distance (plus H does all the driving so that would've been a breeze).

Ahh you wouldnt be the only one struggling with the last 10-20lb mate :/

Cita, I WISH you lived within 3 hour drive from here, that would be awesome!! I'm always doing something, so we would have a blast! I was on a plateau back in June for about 5 weeks, I didn't lose A THING! Then I up'd my calories a little and took a break for about a week, and about a week later after I got back into the groove I dropped about 3-4 pounds, that was back in the first part of August, now I'm just losing a pound, putting it back on, losing a pound putting it back on. This has been going on for about 4 weeks again. I'm so tired of this crap you have no idea! Get this, I measured myself this morning and my waist line has dropped 2 inches since 2 weeks ago, but the scale still sits at the same old weight. I'ts like I'm shrinking, but my weight is not changing. And NO my scale isn't broken, my hubby uses it every day. I'm trying something new right now, I have my sisters old weight watchers books and charts, and I'm going to try that for a few weeks and see if I can shake it up a bit. I'm also doing more upper body weights since a week ago at they gym, AND for a week now I've been using that ab roller every night before bed and that's all on top of my regular 4 day a week gym workout. Yesterday at the gym, I did upper body weights, ran on the elliptical for 4 miles which said I burned 410 calories, and then took 1 hour group groove, I was soaked to the bone. You know someday, my body is going to thank me for all this cardio I'm doing and it's going to reward me with weight loss, it has to, there just is no other way of going about it. I feel great! so I guess that's reward for me. Truthfully, I think it's old age my friend, I'm just getting older and I waited to long to rejoin the gym since my last membership and it's going to take me twice as long to get in shape like I was back then when I was 30 years old. I look GREAT! I was a size 8 and i felt great. I'm getting there, I see it in the mirror, but it's very slow. I'm not giving up, I'll do whatever it takes. But I thought this weight watcher points system might help me along, my sister lost 65 pounds doing it, and she only walked a mile every day, so if she can do it, then surely I have hope. Well tonight it's gym night, but no groove class, I'll probably bike 45 minutes which will be about 10 miles, then I'll run a little. I'm not doing upper body weights again until tomorrow. I'll do my AB roller, it's so hard! But I'm up to 20 from 15 last week, so I'm getting stronger. I'll give it until the end of September and if I don't see results I'm going to commit myself. :D DAMN BODY!! it hates me. LOL LOL You all know I'm kidding of course. Have a great day you guys, I'm going to be busy at work, so might not be able to get to diary's, but I'll try. Later gators!
Kim

It's stunning that you dropped 2 inches off your waist in only 2 weeks. That itself has to be progress. It shouldn't matter that the scale hasn't moved, because you're obviously becoming fitter and thinner anyway.

Hey Kim! Just checked in yesterday, read through a few of the profiles and trying to catch up with everyone. Been really busy and unfortunately dropped the ball on WLF. Sometimes, you just can't fit everything in. Still working hard in the gym.. and watching Beth get hotter by the day!! Glad to hear you are doing great and sticking with it! You go girl!! :beerchug:

Take care!

Bruce

You really are at an extreme position with your size loss not matching your weight loss at all!! I wonder if you can measure your body fat? I bet that's a good looking number. The size loss definitely matters more. 2 inches from your waist!! WOW!! I guess that abkiller killed a few abs!! Well done on being able to use it without "shaking like a crazy person".

Frustrating as your situation is with the scales (ie EXTREMELY!!), it is really great that you can and are making such strides with your fitness - that gives such a payoff, immediately and in the longer term.

2 inches lost is excellent! I would kill (a fly maybe) to lose 2 inches off my waist. It sounds like you lost weight when you took a break from all the cardio and ate a bit more. Are you back to eating very little or did you keep up the same eating as when you increased? I know it doesn't make sense, but look how it worked last time you took a break. Maybe you should take a break every 4 weeks and see if that works. IMO, the weight watchers won't add anything because you're already counting calories and that's exactly what that program is all about, except they turn the calories into points. You know you're eating little enough. The question is, is it too little? I say go on another break for a week or add more calories if they're low. But that's my unexpert opinion as I'm having the same problem. Difference is I'm not working my ass off exercising and I eat a lot more so that certainy is NOT my problem!

You ARE seeing results! 2 inches off of your waist! That's huge! I tried putting on a pre-preg belt this morning and it was a NO GO. If I shaved 2 inches off of my waist - like you have, my dear - it would fit! I'm just like you so far as the non-cooperating scale goes, so I KNOW how frustrating it is. And, just like you, I was stuck at one weight for many long weeks, and when I took a break from exercising, the # went down. The # you're seeing on the scale will slide down, eventually. I know it will because you are doing all of the right things. Have a great day sweetheart!

AWESOME cheerleader you are FELI!! Thank you so much my friend, I needed that! I'm truly lucky to be on here with such wonderful people. And the AB KILLER is doing me right, thank goodness!

Yeah, 2 inches is quite a lot, and I'm really happy it's gone, but boy I would like to weigh in about 10 lbs lighter, GEEZ, Well another good thing about having twins at such a young age, I've learned GOOD Patience, so I'll wait and someday, it should come off. :D Thanks so much for your sweet words!

I think I do need to continue taking my breaks, like Cita said one every 4 weeks, will probably do it. I just love working out so much, that it's hard to stay away from the gym for a week, I feel like I'm lost or something. LOL LOL :rotflmao: I thank you as well for your sweet words and keeping me going, I'm so lucky to have you all to help me out!

Hi Kim! I was reading your diary notes and it came to me that one thing that may help you see some changes as well (that I have done in my own workout) is to not increase the amount of exercise you do, but work on the intensity of what you do.

For instance, on the elliptical, up the level and try to go for a short period at a much more difficult level, then drop it back. If you can do this, you may be able to cut back on the time you spend doing cardio and see a greater number of calories burned, too!

In my own experience, I was increasing my time and found it was more efficient to increase my speed/incline to get better results and more time efficient too! :)

Small changes often make a big difference. Hope the WW diet change spurs on more weight loss, but the 2 inches is a VERY good sign that what you are doing is working! :)

Keep up the good work!!! :D

Thanks Beth, I'll give that a shot, I'm up there pretty high on my levels right now, but I'll punch it up another notch and see if that helps at all, like i said many times before, I'm up for trying anything! Thansk again for the suggestions!
