Miss Ladybugs Diary

Thanks everyone!!!
Well, we had a wild, wet weekend in Oklahoma!! The tropical storm came right up and hit us like gangbusters!. We have some serious flooding and luckily near my home it's all good. However, the champagne on the deck didn't happen because of all the rain, but we enjoyed it inside instead. I did get a lot of in house stuff done, which was fine with me. I worked out pretty hard all last week, and I'm going after it again this week. I didn't weigh in this morning, because I'm getting ready to start and I feel really bloated and well, I just wasn't in the mood to get on that thing. Maybe, I'll feel more like it in the morning. Clothes are still fitting good, and I'm eating really good during the week, and allowing myself to eat as I want on the weekends. which honestly is still good. I did break down and eat several small pieces of my husbands homemade toffee crunch, mmmmmm it's the best, and always better when someone else is making it. But I didn't go overboard on anything else. We grilled Kabobs last night, it was Pork but "LEAN" and I cut up chunks of green pepper and onion to go on the kabobs, they were perfect, each one had 5 pieces of meat, and like I said it was LEAN with little fat. They were awesome. Then I made a huge garden salad and had that with fat free Italian dressing. So I ate really well over the weekend, I just got stuck in the house, YUK! Well, I had my bowl of Mini wheats this morning, and I brought a PB&J for lunch, that should bring my calorie intake for the morning and afternoon to right around 800, then I'll probably have one of my chex mix snacks which are 100 calories so 900 or so for the day, then work out after work and burn around 300-500 and home for some garden salad and grilled chicken breast. I should hit around 1600 total calories and then burn 400 or more for the day. Maybe I'll have some toffee too, and bring up the calories another 200 or so. Like to try and have them at 1800 if at all possible, because I'm burning to many during the week, and I think that's why my body isn't moving on the scales. We will see. Everyone enjoy your day!
Kim

OMG Kim!
I so love toffee. Over here in Indiana there is a place called Shipshewana.
The Amish built up that little area and make the absolute BEST toffee.
Ok you ready for this.........toffee dipped in chocolate with cashews in it.
I know better than to ever buy that stuff again. There is no way I could ever stop myself from eating all of it.
Kudos to you for only having a few small pieces!!!!!!!! :jump: :jump: :jump:

Oh wow! Kim, I am so making pork kebabs with capsicum and onion at the earliest opportunity. I can smell them already!

It's great to hear that everything is still moving along so well for you. I reckon a bit of scale missing is the way to go while you are so sure that you are eating and exercising right!

Hey you - kabobs and toffee smell good:)ha ha ha - I meant they sound good but smell works as well - just checkin up on you!!!

Happy Anniversary!!! Glad you had fun and your house isn't affected by the flooding!! Thanks for all the support in my diary!!!

Thanks VBF!! A lot of people didn't get as lucky as we did, so it was a very sad weekend for a lot of surrounding towns. I think we were even on the ABC news for a rescue effort in the town of Kingfisher. It was scary to say the least. But, it's supposed to dry out this week, so we should be able to jump back soon. :)

Bell, actually he makes the toffee, spreads it out on a baking sheet, adds chunks of hershey's chocolate and then spreads it around and adds a whole bunch of chopped walnuts. OH MY GOSH!! it's so wonderful. I'm lucky he's a pretty good cook. :)

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel Feli, if I'm working out to the best of my ability and keeping consistant at the workouts and the eating, I should be fine. I'm sick and tired of the scales and I'm also tired of stressing out every month over them, I'm done with that. When I reach my next clothing size, I'll jump on the scale then and I'm sure I won't be dissapointed. I'm really trying hard to be in a size down by Christmas, that's my main goal! I should make it.

Hey Cinder, I love Kabobs, and it's funny we forget about putting them on the grill for months. My hubby came up with the idea, since I had the pork already out and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them. IT was such a great idea. We watch the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" I think that's it with Diane Lane, it's sooo good. And then "MY Big fat greek wedding" came on and we laughed our butts off. It was a good night all in all.

I LOVE Under the Tuscan Sun ;) Kim I was worried about you, I was watching the news the other night and was shocked when I saw the flooding in OK at the moment. And those kabobs sound phenomenal. I want veggie kabobs now, maybe tomorrow for dinner... anyways I'm happy you're doing so well diet/exercise wise, you're always on track, I'm so happy for you. Have a beautiful day tomorrow

Hello Everyone!! Yesterday was a long day! I ended up at the gym as always, but I thought to myself when I got there that maybe waiting for group groove to start would be to long of a wait. As it was, I got there at 5:30 pm and groove didn't start until 6:30, so I just got on the bike and went like crazy!! In 34 minutes I biked 8 miles, it said I burned over 520 Calories, WHEWWWWWWWWW that was a super good ride. But I wasn't done, afterwards I jumped on the elliptical and ran about 1 mile, when I looked up at the clock it was 6:30 and well I couldn't resist the temptation and I caved in and went to Groove anyways. I tell you what, by the time I got through the first 1/2 hour I was WHIPPED!!!! But........ I kept going!! I stayed the entire hour. So I assume I burned over 500-700 calories at the gym. Probably more, but I always under estimate just in case. I got home and my husband had already been home for an hour. He fixed the hose outside, fixed my water fountain on the deck. YEAH!! And he had steaks grilling on the grill. Okay, so I don't eat steak, but I was happy that everything was pretty much done, so all I had to do was pop a few potatoes in the microwave, make some veggies and bring the salad out of the fridge that I had prepared the day before. It was sooooo nice to have it all done and still have time to sit and relax. When I finally hit the pillow at 10:30 I was GONE!!!! This morning when I got up, even though I'm so damn bloated, I jumped on the scale and it said I was down 3 pounds from this exact time last week. YEAH!! I'm so damn excited I don't know what to think. I just hope it keeps moving down and maybe I'll be at 170 before the the end of Sept. It's strange, I just have this feeling that when I hit 160 on my 5.6 1/2 inch frame, I'm going to be exactly where I need to be. I just think my body frame has changed over the past 10-15 years and what I looked like before at 140 isn't going to be good at all with how muscular I am now. I just can't see it. Well, only time will tell I guess. I just want to hit 170 and be done with it. On next Monday I'll move my ticker to reflect my loss. MAYBE it will be down even further as I have aunt flo on her way in the next few days for a quick visit, then I'll know for sure where I stand. OHHHH Please lord let it be less than I think. Oh I work so hard for it, I just want to see it in the mirror again. AMEN!! WELL everyone Enjoy your day!!! I'm having some slight cramps today. I HATE WOMEN ISSUES!! UGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotflmao:

Well that was one amaaaaazing work out. I reckon you deserved to lose three pounds just for that!!:D

Seriously. It is very, very nice that the scales moved for you, as they should. :)

Hey Kim!
Where in the world do you find all that energy? LOL There is no way that I could do all that and remain alive!!
You are so super determined. I think that is AWESOME!!!
Glad to hear about the 3 pound loss------no wonder though with how hard your working for it. Sorry to hear about old Aunt Flo. It appears she will be visiting my house as well as yours this week. Usually in the past I would have a big "gain" before she got here but so far nothing. So I don't know that I will have a "big" loss after she leaves. Right now I am just happy to be making the progress that I am.
What a sweetie pie you have, getting things all done before you got home.
I bet you were so grateful especially after all that working out!!!
Have a good day hon!

I know, I've been sitting on plateau ville for a long time! I love my workouts once I get started, it's just getting my brain to say, YEAH it's time for the gym, that's the hard part. LOL LOL

Hi Bell!!
Thanks for stopping by this morning! Hey I wanted to tell you that I'm so jealous you have someone on here who lives close enought to work out with, that's just Awesome!! I do work hard at the gym, but my whole mind set is, if my butt is spending so much time at the gym and less time with my family, then my gosh I'm going to work my ass to the bone while I'm there, so at least I wont feel guilty about it, does that make sense?? Plus, once you reach my age, you have to work twice as hard to lose a damn pound, or at least that's the way it has been for me. I work out HARD, and I do it at least 4 days a week, and still my weight does not melt off, so it's a bit frustrating. My theory is eventually somethings got to give right. LOL LOL

I can so relate to knowing the exercise is good for you and that you feel better afterwards but I can't seem to get myself to go from the bedroom to the all season room to use the STUPID elliptical!
I too am so very greatful for my best buddy, SweatPea, she is in fact my very bestest friend! We are so much alike that it's as if we were 2 SweatPeas in a Pod.......sorry I couldn't help it....lame I know!
I am very grateful for her joining on this journey with me.
And you certainly don't look like your old enough to be saying "at my age"!!!!!
Girl your beautiful just as you are.
I understand to about being away from the family and thinking if I have to be away I will give it my absolute best. I pretty much do that for most everything in my life. No matter what it is. Unless it's laundry and cleaning my house...UGH! I hate cleaning!!!!
Have a great day sweetie!!!
Keep the pace!
Bellaryna

While you're away from your family think for a minute how cool it is for them to have a wife/mommy who DOES work out. That is cool. So you are giving something priceless to them by doing that, and they benefit by your good mood when you get home. THey are lucky to have you girl.

WOW, yesterday I ditched the gym and instead went straight home, and MOWED the lawn for 1 hour and 1/2 OH yeah, I was like a wet, drenched pig when I got done. I swear that is more of a workout for me than running on the elliptical 3 miles. I think it's due to all the pushing and several of my lawn is at a slant, so it's pushing slightly up hill for a large majority. I was so tired after I got done, I went straight into the shower, then sat down for awhile. When I finally went to bed I crashed! I don't think I got all my calories in yesterday, not my choice, but I didn't eat anything after I mowed, so that cut me way back. I was so tired, I wasn't hungry. OH, wait I did have a couple of those ICE POPS, I think they are 25 calories each, so that was something. HAHAHA Today, I'm going to the gym for Groove, and that's probably it, since it starts at 5:30, then I'll rush home and get in the pool, after the rain we had last weekend, it got leaves and crap blown in it and it will need to be vacuumed. Sooo, just another thing to do at home, what's new! Well, I better get going I have work to get started on. Everyone have a great day today!
Kim

Hey there Kim! Just wanted to congratulate you on the 3 pound loss. That is incredible! It seems like you finally got off your plateau the second you started eating more and working out less. And also you started doing weights. Maybe for you less is more for a little while plus definitely weights, even though you *gulp* hate them.

Yeah, Cita weights are like pulling teeth, I get NO joy from working with them. I love my cardio, and well I'll keep doing that for as long as my body will allow me too. Last night I went to Groove, then I hurried home to make a nice dinner for my family, we had this bean, rotel, corn and pasta combo that my husband came up with, it was pretty damn good, I was amazed. The only high calorie item was the pasta and I only had a couple cups of that. I got on the scale again this morning and it's holding steady, so I'll probably change my ticker on Monday to reflect the current weight, it's about damn time!! It's interesting however, because I'm see a really SLOW change in my body every week as I dress. My legs are getting much, much firmer, and my hips are fading. The mid section seems to be taking the longest to go, but I noticed around my back, it's going fast! I was really happy to see that, as I can now wear shirts without the bust looking like it's going to blow. Tonight it's group groove, then I'm going to work on the pool and swim. We have rain coming in again this weekend, so thank goodness I got all that mowing done early in the week. GOOD CHOICE KIM!!!! This morning I had a bow of mini wheats and 1% milk, I have oatmeal for lunch and chex mix packet for snacks. I brought 5 bottles of water to work with me, as I think this city water has something going on with it, because last week I drank the water from the tap here and it gave me stomach cramps, so I stopped right away. I love our well water, it taste pretty darn good! Our property is on a natural spring so we have really good water! Well, that's about it folks, nothing exciting to report, no great things planned for the day, so I'll just go travel through some other diary's and get pumped that way. Everyone HAVE A GOOD ONE!
Kim

The city water here is sometimes scary. Sometimes i turn on the tap and suddenly feel like I'm sniffing a swimming pool.

Feeling young and gorgeous yet? You should! :D
