Tonight I did 8 miles on the bike in 35 minutes, it said I burned 500 calories, YEAH RIGHT whatever on that one.
Dont doubt it. I did at first, but in fact if your heart rate is up there neat 90% then yeah you would burn about that.
I burnt 1000 tonight doing an hours riding :D

You go girl - im glad i measure in km rather than miles .. it makes it seem like its more and they go by quicker! hehehe

oh, and yeah i have a low tolerance for stupid people as well - im sooo darned nasty!

WOW, it's good to know I might be burning the 500 then YEAH!! I could probably go the entire hour, but that cuts into class time, and at this moment my classes mean more to me than riding. LOL LOL Plus my butt crack doesn't hurt as much when I do group groove. HAHAHAH, thanks wishes for stopping in!

Lena, DOOBER is just another word we use in our house for IDIOT, or MORON! hahahah I guess I shouldn't use made up words anymore I'm confusing people. HAHAHAhaha

I'm really enjoying this gym idea - the fact is that you're doing a lot more than you usually might on your own, which is really commendable. I think I'll suggest the same thing to my own gym - I want to join in too!

In your bike ride at the gym, which bike did you use? There's 2 at mine - the one with the back support, and the one without. My personal trainer advised the one without the back support because apparently you then have to engage your core muscles to maintain your balance. But it can be really uncomfortable - it'd be cool to get an idea of what you do so I can maybe vary my routine.

I look forward to the day when I burn 1000 calories in an hour like Wishes! I would be so fit by then! Maybe it's time to push myself further on the cardio front? Oh Kim, what have you done?!!

Hi Rho~ I use the bike without the back support, I always try to sit up straight even at work, I see so many older ladies who hump over and I really don't want that to happen to me, it has to be painful. I would guess everytime I go to the gym and do my 2 hour workouts I must burn close to 1000 calories as Wishes said I was probably doing the 500 on the bike, then I go into my full blown cardio groove class for an hour and I know I have to be buring at LEAST 500 in that one, it's no stop and I really work it hard. If you keep up the work your doing now, I'm sur in a month or so you too will be burning those major calories at the gym. GOOD LUCK!!

Kim I've gotta say I'm feeling reassured after reading the last couple of posts as well. You're burning insane calories and working your ass off, that's so exciting. NO WONDER your clothes keep falling off of you. Keep it up, it's an inspiration for everyone. :) Oh and I think it's totally cute you and your husband have little jokes together. Way cute.
 
Thanks Kim, that's such an inspiration, I have to say. Because of your insane workouts, I've decided to challenge myself today. My aim will be to burn 700 calories... I was going to say 800 but I remembered I'm just recovering and shouldn't overpush myself... or is that me being cowardly :D

700 is do-able in 45 minutes, isn't it? Thanks Kim - I'm off to my workout now so I'll see how it goes. Cheerio!

Sara, I do burn a ton of calories that's why I say I'm so shocked I don't weight 110 pounds by now, it's insane! But, I'm waiting for that time when the weight just starts pouring off and I don't have to do to much but maintain. Now that would be AWESOME!

Oh I'm so happy your challenging yourself! AHHHH I've inspired people, that makes me so happy!! Your right DON'T over do it RHO okay, or I'll be very unhappy with you girl. Take it slow and build up, Remember I've been going to the gym weekly for well over a year now, I better have built up stamina by now. LOL Enjoy your day!

It's almost the end of my work day and I need to get some food in my belly. I've been so busy I've skipped right past lunch today. BAD KIM!! See Curves I do mess up. HAHAH I'm going to the kitchen to grab a orange and apple real fast. I had my mini wheats this morning and some animal crackers for my late snack and my late morning snack was that small pouch of mini-rice cakes with little chocolate swirls, only 90 calories for that pouch, it's so worth it!! I'm going to fill my large glass up with water again too, I'm hot and thirsty. No gym tonight, I'm going home to wash the car and do some yard work, it's supposed to rain this weekend and it's already needing a mow since we didn't get it done this past weekend. Always something isn't it?? I should burn at least 300-400 doing all that no problem! I'm craving some black bean wraps for tonight, loaded with lettuce and tomato and maybe an ounce of jalapeno jack cheese. mmmmm Okay I'm starving. Later everyone
 
How do I start my own diary?

I have no idea what I am doing...
I look above the threads and see

and I try to click either and they aren't working. I am thinking there is something more to it..


Anyone know how to start my own thread, or diary? I think this would help me tremendously in losing my goal weights..

You should be able to click on New thread and start one that way, I think the website is having some technical difficulty as I just tried doing it myself and it wasn't working either. Give it some time and try again in an hour or so, it should be up and working, but you had the right idea and you were going where you should to start one, so just do exactly what you were trying before later today and see if it will work then. I think they are working on the site currently. Also, if you click on Weight loss forum at the top it will take you to a page that hase a link you can go into for NEWCOMERS, go into that and it will help get you started on a lot of things for this website. If you can't get it going by tomorrow, let me know and I'll check it out for you alright? Thanks for stopping by, let me know when your diary is set up so I can check it out

hehe we all screw up and forget meals sometimes.
I skipped breakfast yesterday accidentally and i had to eat chocolate to make up the calories - oh the evil! :D

I honestly just didnt realize i had skipped breaky though seriously. I hate missing breakfast!
 
hello Missladybug. wanted to swing on in, and see how things are going. Sounds like you are really busting butt and getting your sweat on. always refreshing to see women who arent afraid to go out and get a little sweaty doing some hard work. it deserves some respect for sure! keep it up, and I look forward to hearing about you hitting your goals soon enough!

Thanks ever so much for inspiring me!! I managed to burn 720 calories in my cardio session last night, although I did it in 60 minutes, instead of 45. I was so keen to meet my target even though I was dying, but I thought of my promise to you, and I did it!! And I don't think I overdid it, because I woke up feeling great this morning!

So thank you Kim!!!

Good luck with your eating today. I didn't get to have breakfast until 11am today because I woke up late and had to rush to work and all I could think was "I need my breakfast now!!"

As you said, it'll be great when the weight has poured off and all you've got to do is maintain! I'm really looking forward to that.
