Miss Ladybugs Diary

Beautiful piece of property there, Kim. A LOT of gardening work, though! Makes my yard look like a walk in the park.

Tom, it is a lot of work, but I have to say it's so worth it. I need the peace in my life and it gives me that. I'm a nature girl, so I would go stir crazy living in town. Again, it's got it's advantages and it's disadvantages of course. :)

I can't wait until I have a house so I can have a yard! I definately want a garden, I'd love to be able to grow my own food!

Yes I have so far, even though it's been really humid, I'm trying not to use my air conditioner so soon in the year if I can, I'm trying to run all the ceiling fans in the house to keep it cool. Do you get humidity where you are??? My garden is pretty nice, but don't be fooled it takes a lot of time and energy to maintain, and that's only the front side of the house, the other side has just as much yard. It's hard to tell in these pics, because I have to stretch them so small and they get blurry, but most our garden veggies are grown in RAISED UP beds that my husband builds. That was the only thing that worked for us. So, HOW WAS YOUR RUN in the mountains??? I'm so anxious to find out!!! TELL TELL
noo we dont get any of that over here - nobody has air conditioning units or celiling fans. occasionally people have portable fans. when its hot here its usually quite dry and dusty.
my dad is just building some of those beds because he wants to grow his own veggies. i inspired him apprently because i grow my own berries (straw, black, rasp, goose)
:D
my run was good thankyou and i really enjoyed both days :)

Well I just got done with the housework, and I'm taking a little break. The hubby is finally outside finishing up the mowing. He had football today, so he's getting a late start. I love the smell of cut grass. I made some Lime Jello, it's only 80 calories per serving, so I'm going to love that tonight, if it's set in time. I also like to munch on the Ice pops, basically it's Kool-Aid in a tube and frozen. HAHAHA but they are good and only 50 calories each. In this hot humid weather, they do the trick. I really need to down my water, so I think I'll go for now and see how far my hubby has made it on the mower and offer him a beverage. I'll log on tonight to see if Curves finally posts her win!!! I can't wait~

Nice pics of your yard, LadyBug, I love that kind of natural surrounding (just not the work). Also, I love the sky shots....breathtaking. Cute kitty.

Have a nice evening.

I love icepops too! Speaking of humid weather, it was intensely heavy here today. The air was thick and it was the first time I've felt this since last June. Those pictures are really beautiful, I can see why you love being out there. The photos of the sky are breathtaking. Keep posting pictures please it's fun! Have a great night :)

I sure will, I love taking pic's as long as I'm not in them. HAHAHA Can you believe I took those sky pictures while in a car, I was just gazing out the window after we had already driven 5 hours straight, and I was just amazed. I couldn't believe they turned out as clear. Tonight we watched a little Home Makeover and Miami Ink, then I decided to munch out on that Jello I made earlier. I made the boys some chicken, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. It rained a few hours ago, off and on, I don't mind it, as long as we don't get those tornadoes, I'm fine. :)

Hi Kim! I enjoyed reading your posts from this weekend...and I loved your pictures too! Your yard is an oasis! So beautiful! Hope the rain cut the humidity some for you all! And those sky pictures are amazing! :)

Hope you're having a good Monday!

Thanks Beth!! Well, we have had so much rain last night, everything around here this morning is completely flooded out. It took me an extra 20 minutes to get to work, because I had to turn around 3 different times due to flooded out roads. It's a mess, they say it's supposed to rain off and on the remainder of the week. WOW! I can't believe we are getting this much, it's unreal for OK. I'm trying to make my rounds on the diary's this morning, goodness it takes awhile doesn't it. Maybe I'll catch some at lunch. Enjoy your day!!
Kim

Kim, aren't you in tornado territory there. I read about that one in Kansas - -that must have been truly terrifying. I can't imagine a tornado a mile wide.

Yes we are, and we were right next to the big F-5 that hit on May 3rd several years back, we moved out of that location and we are now in an area that seems to be blocked a lot by the trees, thank goodness, but I'm still petrified every time we have a storm here, including last night, I was up at 2:30 in the morning, and up and down all night from there. It was still thundering when I came into work this morning.

Non-Californians always give me a worried look when I tell them where I live, but I think tornados are much more nerve-wracking. I remember when we lived in Tennessee we were always worried about them.

Yes, when I lived in California, they had one the biggest Earthquakes recorded, then I moved to Upstate NY and they had one of the biggest Ice Storms recorded. So what happens, I moved to OK and they have one of the Biggest Tornadoes recorded, I'm not moving to Florida, that's for sure!! I see a pattern here and I'm not liking it at all!

LOL! :D Yeah, guess that would be a safe bet....

Oh gosh, I hope not TOM, it's been good since I decided to keep put. I'm so tired can someone please send some caffeine my way. Uggg, and to think I still need to go to the gym after work, how am I going to do this?? I'm tired, I'm bloated. OH WHAT A MONDAY!
Kim

Miss Ladybug I so hear you! The MONTH after I moved to Pensacola, Hurricane Ivan totally ravaged this area. I'm bad luck too! If we were ever in the same place...man. haha

You'll be able to do it! I bet you'll get a burst of energy sometime before the gym, and you should think about how great you'll feel afterwards, and how nice it will be to climb into bed tonight knowing you accomplished everything you wanted to accomplish today. I don't think I've ever seen one post of yours where you didn't go to the gym like you had planned. I know you'll be able to do it ;) :)

Luke, your probably right, I'll end up going, but I hope I can put my whole heart into it. I just had my afternoon Carrot, so maybe that will boost me a little. I've drank so much water, I'm now floating. But at least I'm not nodding off. HAHAHA I will say, since my drop of those 2lbs on Friday, the slacks I'm wearing today, if it wasn't for my hip bones, those puppies would be down below my ankles. LOL LOL they look so baggy its' funny, but until they are falling off, I'm not buying any new ones! Let's hope another 5lbs does the trick. I'm going to workout really hard this week. I'm crossing my fingers!!
Food so far today:

1C raisin bran/ 1c 1% milk
1 PBJ sandwich, used 2TBsp of peanut butter if that!
1 large Carrot
WATER< WATER> WATER!! I'm FLOATING, or should I BE SINKING?? LOL LOL
I'm going to have a black bean wrap for dinnner. MMM can't wait for that!
