Miss Ladybugs Diary

Hi ya Kim! Hope you have a great day....I'm having left over fajitas tonight for dinner...only I'll have a half cup of brown rice and opt out of the tortilla! LOL! :)

Sounds liek your weather out there is great - ha ha ha - being from B.C. I can relate there totally - we always kid that once it starts raining it will never stop...

I hope you ahve a great day and not eating is BAD!!!

Okay, I'm getting ready to head over to Group Power tonight, NO group groove. Bah!!! Oh well, I need the weight training any how. I'm just not so crazy about it. I think for some strange reason, I will be dining out with my hubby tonight. I'm hoping for a place where I can get a GOOD Sweet Potato and chicken or steamed veggies, mmmm maybe a place called "Texas Roadhouse". Which means I may not be online later to chat. Boohoo! we will see, I think he will be in town at a football meeting and we should be done me with my workout and him with his meeting right about the same time, so we probably will. Today I had so far to eat:

1 C Raisin Bran/ 1C 1% milk
1 Large Carrot,mmmm
5 animal crackers
About 3.5 strips of grilled chicken breast
2 small flour tortilla
12 oz coffee
3tsp sugar
I think that's it. Again, not sure about dinner yet. If I guess I have probably consumed so far..... 700-750 calories give or take. Still leaves plenty of room for a good dinner, MINUS my workout tonight about 350 calories. makes for a good day!! Talk to you all later!
Kim

Wow, rain! It's been the driest winter here in years, so far! Today it's 81 degrees and supposedly the "real feel" is 87 due to the humidity. I didn't walk today--I went to Aptos and purchased some high-tech workout flip flops so I can go to kickboe tonight!

You eat so well! Good for you--my food may be organic but it's apparently not very healthy in the macros! Rats. I'm bummed because I have to re-think my eating habits! Grrrr.

have fun tonight! Good luck on the dinner choices!

Dear Miss Ladybug, You are doing awesome. I liked reading about your doing fine with kids and all when you met hubby. Are you happy now? Happier? I have been happy and then I met this dear old man and we went too far and now I am ashamed and have to end it. He would like to remain friends but its never just friends any more is it. I feel my shame is written all over my face. I could never be seen in public with him. I am ending it. Feel crappy. He touched my heart. But more sure I will meet someone more suitable. I don't think marriage or remarriage is for me anyhow.

Haven't written in my diary lately but would love to hear from you maybe in pm.

I like you . Your posts in my diary were most appreciated.

Texas Roadhouse ?....yummmm....ate at a Texas Roadhouse when we went to visit my daughter....such good food! :D Have a great workout, dinner and evening with your hubby! Talk to ya tomorrow!

Hi LadyBug; how was your day? Mine was extremely boring at the office. I have huge windows through which I can see the hot summer day and daydream. Several people are retiring from my office and I'm so jealous...I have 15 years to go! Sigh.

Okay, Don't be mad, but I didn't have dinner last night, since I stayed online so long, I didn't have time. I did however, pull out that lime jello and had a few bites of that. Maybe that's why when I got on the scale this morning it said I was down another 1.5 pounds.Kim

So this forum really is helpful in losing..you're so busy reading you forget to eat. That's a new one .. LOL .. I better get to sleep since its after 12am and I work tomorrow. Have a good one Ladybug.

Hi Miss Ladybug :) I always have to suppress this urge to laugh when I see you post "1 Large Carrot" It's just really cute for some reason! Maybe it's because I never see anyone actually eating one large carrot. It's funny!

I also loved your story about you and your man, that's wonderful ;) You guys are so sweet. I hope you had a great time at Group Power and that you enjoyed dinner :) Have a nice night!

Ahh you should see my large pot of hummus and carrot! :O

At least its a healthy addiction ... *G*

Keep up the great work LB, as for the Weight training, you only really need to do 30 mins once a week. Your muscles need to have a week to recover each time.

Cinder, I spent many lonely years all by my lonesome! Actually it got to the point, I didn't want anybody else, I was happy being by myself, and my boys. I don't know if you ever watched this old PBS show called ANN OF GREEN GABLES, well if you haven't it's about this girl and this older lady adopts her and she watches her grow into a young women, and each year she's rocking on her porch talking to her nosy neighbor friend and waiting for Ann to come home for a visit. Well, that's who I thought I would ended being. HONESTLY, it wasn't until I stopped caring about finding someone that I ran SMACK INTO HIM. He was literally under my nose for 5 years and I never new it. I used to be a season ticket holder to the Oklahoma City Blazers hockey team, and well he used to be a volunteer for them and worked on the ice and with the entertainment during periods. See I never knew that until we actually hooked up. You just never know. Don't worry, you too will find another and it will happen when you least expect it, and it will be the right one!!

Ha Ha Ha - tha tis great :):):) Im not really interested in anyone else - trust me - i have my hands full over here - Im focusing on me and my girls...I quite like you - maybe it is that strong wmn hear me roar thing!!!:D:D:D

Hey Kim - how many calories are you going based off of???

WOW, where do I start on here, so many have stopped by and posted since lastnight, and all I got a kick out of reading, YOU LADIES are all wonderful people, I just want you ALL to know I feel that way. Okay, to answer some questions from earlier:

Curves: the humidity in OK is not as bad as TX, but some days you can cut it with a knife. It hasn't hit that hard yet, and I hope it doesn't this year, but damn we got more thunderstorms lastnight and I think El Reno had a tornado go through it. BETH, I think you mentioned family there is that right??? I'll visit your diary later Curves. I still think your organic sounds 10X better than what I've been eating. But I know what you mean about adjusting!!

Ms Happy: I think your a remarkable lady. I don't know the reason you have broken it off with this gentlemen, but I'm sure it's for all the right reasons. To be truthful I was really excited knowing you had found someone who made you feel good, and that's what is so important in life today. So many people get caught with people who make them unhappy or just downright miserable, and it's not fair. If it's time to end it with him, then that's what you need to do. We all know this type of situation is never pleasant, and we always have a hurt heart afterwards. You'll make it my friend, after all you have US to help you through it. Keep on plugging along, you deserve it for yourself! I'm hear for you, and I'll try to get on this evening so we can chat!! Later my friend!

Beth: Texas Road house is awesome, they have so many good low calorie items to choose from. Plus my hubby and sons can still get their meat fix in at the same time. :)

Mrs Blacita: Your right, sometimes I get so busy typing in diary's I look up and WOW two hours gone by, no wonder my husband is starting to get a little worried. HAHAHAH No, not yet, but he's now making those little comments you know like ummmm, where is my time in all this. HAHAHA It just cracks me up!! Thanks for stopping in!

Okay, I was afraid it would time out on me before I answered everyone, so I cut it in half just in case. LMAO!!! Here are some more replies:

Luke: Yeah, ONE LARGE Carrot baby!! Well, you know I buy them in a HUGE bag and peel them and stick them in this huge container in the fridge in water, I then remove about 5 and stick them in a zip lock bag and take them to work. It's funny because around 1 or so each day, here is Kim sitting at her desk with this huge ass carrot in her mouth. I must look obscene, but ask me if I care???? Hey, I love them and it's just something else to eat until I get bored of those too. talk to you later gator!

Little Miss Skinny: My day yesterday was BUSY, BUSY, BUSY I'm getting so many new brokers at work I'm pushing to time thing everyday. I love my office and my big window that looks out the front of our building. I can see everyone coming in, even those DAMN SOLICITORS, uggg!! well, I do catch all the girls who come in selling chocolate for their schools, I'm a sucker for those ones!

Wishes: I was worried I didn't get enough weight time in, somebody told me I should do it every other day, so is that not right??? I tell you what that hour of Power, kicks my ass every time. Uggg, it's so hardcore! And I would really like that recipe for hummas and carrots is there anything else in there??

Cinder: OH YEAH ROARRRRRRRR!!! That's me for sure!! I used to be really layed back as a young girl, but as I had kids and got into my 30's I most verbal and expressive and I don't take anymore shit from anybody. Life's to short, I try not to sweat the small stuff anymore!! And I usually base my calories on about 1500-1600 a day. I have a calculator i found online that I use to plug my foods into and it works for me. Is that what you meant??

Hi Kim,
For the weight training, you have to do a program that is right for YOU. That said, if you are doing heavy, complex muscle exercises (squats, deadlifts, bench presses, lunges, military presses, pullups, rows) then it might be better to give your muscles at least two days between each session. I do mine every 3 days, and that has been working out very well. It's just enough stress on the muscles to ward off catabolism (loss of lean body mass), and not so much that it induces fatigue.

Thanks Tom! I thought I would do Group Power when Group Groove was not going one. I think it's twice a week. I just know when I take those classes, the next day I'm still tired. I thought it was supposed to HELP me with energy. uggg

CAN I ADD AN AMEN SISTER to that comment!! I've been very lucky, I'm surrounded with some great friends here, and in NY and in CA we all still talk regularly and the ones here we get together often. WOMEN POWER! HAHAHA Most the time we just sit and talk, or go to festivals, or sporting events, but even just sitting out on the deck enjoying a glass of wine and turning up some good jazz or blues is just enough for me!! Don't get me wrong, I love all music, but when I'm chilling it's old school stuff. :)

Hey Kim! Stopping in to see how your morning is going. My aunt lived in El Reno (she has since passed away) and we'd go through there every summer. Hope you all are spared from any tornados....has the rain stopped?
