Miss Ladybugs Diary

By the way, the doc has found that although my TSH levels are now normal, my T4 (synthroid) hormone is not converting into T3 and being absorbed like it should. T3 is what regulates the metabolism as well as other things. This is why my TSH levels are normal but I am still always tired, my hair is still falling out, my skin is super dry, and the weight refuses to budge. I am switching to a new drug that contains T3 and T4 and we are hoping this is what will straighten me out.

WOW that is pretty amazing. I need to read more :angelsad2: How interesting that the docs could pinpoint it to that! I hope it works! Eh, I'm sure it will :)

VBF, how are ya?!?!?!

Good Morning ladies!!! oh and gents! I'm doing alright, I'm so damn busy at work right now I can't think straight, which is actually fine, because more business means more money and well we can all use more of that right?? My dog is back to not doing well, so we have been working on trying to get him better to, but it's not looking up, so we will know very soon if treatment is not the solution and putting him down might be the only way, it sickens me to no end to even think of this, I will cry my eyes out if it comes to that, and frankly I cried my eyes out on Saturday in the shower just thinking it's possible, he's not going to recover. OIY!

On the weight loss front, who knows what this week will hold, I'm working out of course, I skipped yesterday due to the dog, but I'll be going again tonight. I did go on Monday for my normal two hours also. I agree with all you ladies of what might be causing this sudden plateau, but I've looked into all the possibilities as far as my levels and my thyroid, they are all fine. I just have to face the facts that my metabolism isn't what it used to be and I think since I'm down to only needing to lose those last 20 pounds it's going to be a struggle for me to the end, which I'm always up for this type of challenge. I'm still eating in the good calorie range, lately 1800-1900, but with all my working out, I don't want to go below that number for a while.

I'm not sure how much time I'll get to post in all your diary's, but rest assure, you all are on my mind, and I'll try to get to them as quickly as I can, but it might be a few days. Other than the weight sitting and going nowhere and my puppy not getting better, everything else is doing fine, and I won't complain a bit! It will work itself out, it always does.

I missed breakfast this morning, so I'm eating my PB&J, mmmmm I love those! I have an apple for later too.

I'll check back later, I've got to get busy. THANKS EVERYONE for stopping by and wishing me well and giving me some inspiring words. I love you all!
HUGS!
Kim

HUGS back!

Sorry about your dog, there has been a slough of bad luck over here. My Logistics manager at the warehouse came home to find his 3-year-old pug dead in a pool of blood on New Years  I suppose doggie autopsies are too expensive, but they're guessing a brain tumor.

My HR coworker's 10 year old Whippet was coughing up blood, but the vet thinks she ate a leather chew and it's messing with her intestines.

My boss, the Pres's Boston terrier ruptured her spine just a few days ago. She has to be in a kennel for a month and she'll never be the same :( So hearing about your dog really makes me wonder!!!

Hope things turn out ok. Have a good day! :)

Oh gosh, Val...too many sad dog stories for me. :( Poor pups.

Kim, hope you figure out the issue...hormones are definitely a BIG FACTOR for my weight loss issues. But I think you are too young to be havng them stymie yours. But checking with your doc is always a good idea. What is your BMR for calories? Maybe try mixing your week up with a couple of days of very low calories with a day of higher than normal calories and see if that makes any postive difference. I have heard that recommended. That your calories should fluctuate and not always be the same (or near the same). I know they are not always exact.

:waving:

-Hope puppy's health improves
-Wow! great job on the exercise
-Plateau? Been there, Done that- just push thru it, girlie!
-Keep up the great work!

Aww...I'm so sorry to hear that Squeege isn't doing well again. I hope he gets better. I still cry about my cat who died in August, so I know you will be just as devestated if he doesn't pull through. :grouphug::grouphug:

You are kicking ass at work, exercise, home, food, everything. You exhaust me just reading about your busy life. If the scale doesn't reward you this week, I'm gonna come down to OK and smash that baby to pieces. :D

Sending hot lesbian TLD kisses your way. :beating:

I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. That must be difficult to focus on other things when such an important part of your family isn't doing well. Be strong and don't forget to look out for yourself as well. Good luck with everything.

Hey Everyone!! Amy to answer your question about work, OH YES it's been really super busy, so I don't have a lot of time. But on a more personal note, we had to put our dog down last night and it was very devastating, we found out he did have lymphoma and well it was only time, he was really getting bad. My husband was beside himself, we were both balling like babies, and my H NEVER cries, it was heart wrenching to say the least. I don't feel much like posting today, but I thought you guys should know why I've been so far out on not posting or keeping up with things, it just has been a tough past two weeks. Of course I did work out this week, but I haven't really focused much on what I'm eating this week, just eat what I feel like, not that it's bad food, but I'm not paying much attention to it, and who knows what that has done for me. My weight is the same, strange enough yesterday morning I got on the scale and it was down 2 pounds, today it's back to the same place it was last week, so no change. LOL LOL my body is a damn freak of nature. I'm seriously going to take photos of myself and post them, I so not waiting on anything anymore and I mean that! Life is to short, I'm going to enjoy every second I have with all the people that mean so much to me, oh and my remaining animals too. I don't have time to post today as I need to finish work and then I need to wrap up the 40th birthday bash I'm putting together for my sister in a week, ALWAYS something, but I'm looking forward to it. Tonight is hockey night, not sure if I feel like going or not, probably just to be there for my H who is supervising the volunteers of course, he's so sweet! My sons were so sweet last night too, they were in town and drove back in with their friends to help my Hubby dig the grave for him, I was so taken back by it. My H is doing okay, I just called him a bit ago, but he said it's hard when someone brings it up, AHHHHHHH I wish I could take his pain away. Well, I better get going, Hugs and love to you all!! may you all have a wonderful weekend and a very good weight loss next week!!
Love you guys!
Kimmers!

So sorry for your loss! :hug2: :hug2: :hug2: :hug2: :hug2: :hug2:

Oh my goodness, I am SO SORRY!

I had to put my first dog down last summer, because he ended up having a case of distemper. It was horrible. I understand how heartwrenching this must be, and I feel terrible for you.

You and your family will be in my thoughts!

 Aww...Kimmie! I'm so sorry about Squeege. :hug2: I feel so bad for you and your family. Just try to think that he's in doggie heaven feeling healthy and happy and having tons of fun with all the other doggies. :)

Just so you know, you can post your Thursday weight for the weigh in.

I'm thinking of you, honey. :hug2:

I am soooo sorry to hear about Squeege. :angelsad2:
I know how hard it must have been for you. I had to "be there" when my mom put her chihuahua down due to epilepsy. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.
You and your hubby will be in my thoughts.
