Mike's Diet Journal

The 2 biggest reasons for women to lift is it fights osteoporosis and builds joint strength. The joint strength is probably the best for guys too.

Ok, but if you don't know what you are doing don't try and lift. Find someone to take you under your wing. You can do a lot more damage than good with weights if you are not knowledgeable. There also are many, many studies coming out about the toll lifting has on the CNS (central nervous system), and you should wait AT LEAST 48 hours between training the same muscles, and 24 between any lifting workout.

Chicks dont generally beef up like guys without a lot of steroids.
Most just look like whats termed as (which i personally think look really hot).
thats what I wanna look like anyway :)
If i look big and muscular and ugly in the meantime im not really fussed - its a quick safe way to loose weight. And muscle is easier to loose than fat :D

KY time? Damn, my journal is getting blue :D

Star,
You're right, I am gaining muscle mass which does make it hard to lose weight. But the good news is it's not fat so I'm not pissed. Have I noticed a difference? A little I suppose. I feel a bit stronger, but it's kind of hard to notice when you see yourself in the mirror every day. :D

Well I was up pretty early this morning. Played some games on my psp, watched a movie, then weighed myself. This morning I was 175. The thing about that is I've decided that I'm not going to concentrate on any more weight loss, but more fitness. I have a healthy bmi, and I'm in the best shape of my life. I'll still participate in the November challenge, but if I meet my goal weight for the month, great! if not, no big deal, I'm more than happy with what I've achieved, and in all honesty I have everyone who's ever posted in my journal to thank.

I don't think I would have been able to lose my weight so quickly without the amazing support from all of you. I thank you for that, because of you, you've given me a new lease on life. I'm happier, and healthier.

OMG, I just realized I'm the same weight as you. And I'm just less than 5'2" I'm working out again today

Congrats on feeling healthy! I'm soooo happy for you Mikey!
