Mike's Diet Journal

Mikey has gone digital. I went and got myself a digital scale today. When I walked up to the counter the salesperson asked "Scale for the old lady?" I just sort of laughed and said no it's for me. He gave me a strange look and I was on my merry way.

I have this theory that my old scale isn't that accurate. Every other scale I've used in the last little while I've been lighter than what my own scale dictated.

Welcome to the 21st century! lol.. we have both a digital and a regular. The regular is so hard to read, you bend over to try to see the numbers and the damn thing moves! Plus it's like 7lb weight. Yeah - I like the digital. :D

Hey mike we have never chatted but I have kept an eye on you and your successes, (you are doing terrific by the way) and I would like to say thanks for the inspiration. I also think that a site like this is necessary after your weight loss
1 to remind yourself to maintain and
2 to encourage others to get to there goals so
If what you’re doing is rubbing noses in it ….bring it on Hun

great workout - wow.. 7 miles on the bike plus the treadmill, that's fanatic! Truly inspiring Mikey.

Ps.. glad to see you put your story back in your profile. ;)

damn it, I just cleaned up my journal

*mopping up all the drool*

herumph! lol

So my legs are on fire right now thanks to a little product known as A535. Yesterday's workout left my legs doing the involuntary spasms for awhile and tonight, well the legs are just really tight. Over all though I'm thrilled with the amount of time I've been spending at the gym.

I think after my workouts I might start to throw in a bit of swimming every now and again. The pool at the gym is pretty small for laps, but it'll help to relax the muscles.

I noticed the yoga does that for me, loosens the crabby muscles. Swimming sounds fun - even if you can't really do true laps.

Edit: Mikey in speedos... mmmm. :D

Hah Mike, your life is mirroring my own somewhat lately :)
Ive been eyeing up the digital scales only i got sidetracked with the ones that measure your body fat.
Ive been debating how accurate they are though, would be nice to know how much is fat and how much is muscle though eh :)

And yeah the swimming helps heaps after a workout - both cools you down and gets you some nice cardio burnin love. I often sit in the hot pool also to help with muscles on a hard day.
Keep up the most excellent work my friend :)

Mike you are doing a great job. You are committed, consistent and an inspiration to others.

I'm so sorry someone was so negative to you. You don't deserve that.

Good Morning Mike :D
So what was the difference between your old scale and the digital scale?

sorry if this is a little outdated but I can't help putting in my two cent (or what ever the expresion is):

I havent seen him rubbing his nose or who's nose is he rubbing, oh I think I am confused here... *looking for mikes nose, whoever wrote the mail about him not belonging here, please send it back - he looks odd without it*
No, I am not saying I agree with the person, just the opposite. You ARE an inspiration to a lot of people here, Mike.

PS: hope you get the nose back in one piece:)
