hi mike... i read through your entire journal and congrats on your success... :seeya: just wondering what you're eating these days? i know in the early part of the thread, you were consuming a lot of shakes... and then got better with the protein options... but were still incorporating myoplex and cliff bars.

what are the straight sugar counts in those - are they high? do you think you'd make more progress if you tweaked the diet in cutting out the hard sugar entirely from your diet, or has it not been a problem for your progress so far?

just curious

i dropped the myoplex, i switched to metrx rtd. the only sugar i get is from the clif bar pretty much. also, with the amount of exercise i do, im sure its not much of a factor.

aww, yeah. im ok, i slept for awhile last night so im good to go now.

I missed my lil mexicana too, yeah i dont think they will be saying much to me for awhile. I had to get crunk this afternoon.

got shoulders and legs tonight. gonna superset them so I can go run in the morning and have the rest of the day off so i can eat some crawfish. yay!
 
i sometimes do myoplex too...gets expensive. Seeing a nutritionist is going to be very very helpful. I am anxious to hear what they have to say to you. My father had to work with one because of his diabetes..he thought he already knew everything..turns out he didnt.

Hope the day is going peachykeen (i said that in an 80's valley girl voice)

leg workout was harsh when you superset with shoulders..ugh.

had squats. 1x12 @ 225, 1x10 @ 250, 1x8 @ 275, 2x5 @ 325, i finished with a burnout at 185. crappy. did my single leg leg presses as well, and jumped up to 560 on my calf raises. ugh. my legs are whipped. shoulders were good, i used the triple drop workout on them. my rear delts are bleh.


anywho, start of the lazy weekend, gonna run a few miles tomorrow before my crawfish boil. then im not doing jack shit. yay!
 
Hey Mike.....just doing a few driveby hello's before I take off with my Mom to go out of town...Seeing some relatives havent seen for awhile...I am sure I will be more excited once I get there! Hope your weekend was successful and anxious to hear about your nutritionalist stuff.

ha, hey guys.

had a long ass weekend. had the infamous crawfish boil/pool party on saturday. that was pretty much my first cheat day in 2 months. I portioned it well and drank plenty of water. it was pretty fun. just good to hang out and really relax for the day.

on to yesterday. stuck to the diet as usual. its never a problem. had a few friends call and ask if i wanted to go to some mexican restaurant. I agreed, i just didnt eat. I decided to have a margarita (lets remember I haven't drank in a few months), the waiter kept asking me if I wanted another. ugh. so i ended up having 4, they aren't stingy with the tequila there either. so now im pretty buzzed and everyone wants to go to the bar. ugh. went there and ended up having 6 gin and tonics and 2 shiner drafts. so i got pretty hammered. big time. im sure i wasn't supposed to drive but I did. I had the bright idea to get up this morning and go run, but when i woke up I was aware that I was on my friends couch in town. woo. so no cardio this morning. I have to call tabitha today to set up an evaluation because I forgot to write her number down on friday. hopefully I can get in sometime this week and get everything situated with the food intake.

so a good weekend altogether. a lil bumpy yesterday but nothing that will really affect anything. looking forward to getting back in gym and having another good week.

fuckin' margaritas! gah!

anywho, you kids have a great day. I'm gonna go find some tylenol and drink a 5-gallon bucket of water. :p
 
hey, man just checking in and seeing what's the good word. have you updated your ticker? I had a pretty out there weekend too. but all went wekk in the end. good times. tore it up this morning at the gym as well. bummer you couldn't get out. but its life.

ha, i didnt think they have that much sugar in them. I guess its ok since i dont get sugar from anything else.

also to cord: bought some almond butter. that shit is off the hook! its a lil more expensive but its really good.

gonna get a nap in before dinner, got chest and abs tonight. im gonna really blast em, hit up 30 mins or so of cardio afterwards as well.

i cant believe i missed the gym this morning, it feels odd not already having one workout in.

on a side note, i changed one of my protein shakes to a can of tuna. figured I could eat some more food instead of just taking whey. i feel more energized than normal, i dunno if its from the missed running this morning or because of that. who knows

you know what don't beat yourself up about it, i don't think i've ever seen you slip in your diet/workout and i've been reading your diary for weeks now....it won't even dent all the progress you've made. i think this post has been the most entertaining...lol!

thank you ma'am. yeah I pretty much eat the same everyday,even on the weekends. its just habit now. no more drinkin tho. it was hot as hell today and that doesn't really mix well with a slight hangover. i come home and slept like a champ!

just had dinner, steamed broccoli with a chicken breast and 90 calorie package of salmon.

had a spoonful of some banana pudding my roomate got from the crawfish boil. tasty.

gonna wait a bit and head to the gym to get some weights in, im excited. yayay
 
workout was good. i guess im getting stronger, i had to increase all the weights by 25 lbs.

my arms are starting to cut. my triceps show thru my shirt. yayayay

anywho, gonna take it easy for the rest of the night. I have 2700 feet of tile to do tomorrow. so i need some rest.
 
pfft, kicked ass on the tile so I got off at a decent hour. usually when we work later we stop and get beer. I just drank water and ate my dinner. Yeah i took it with me so I would eat at the right time.

cardio was great this morning, burned right at 550 cals. hit the abs this morning as well. it actually wasn't that bad. My hanging leg raises to failure last week was like 6, today it was 13 on all three sets. woo. got my back and traps tonight. gonna hit them hard as usual. Im dusty as all get out from the tile. Im pasty white at the moment. I think Ill just go to the gym like this, maybe scare some folks. who knows?

anywho, good workout so far. I decided to not weigh myself for two weeks. see where I end up. kinda makes me try harder in a way.
