Mike's Diary

Well done on the resistance training. It's something that I tried out once and hated it oh so much. Maybe when I get close to my goal weight I'll get into it again, my muscles are most likely like jelly at the moment. It's impressive to see how much you stick with it.

That leg would make many a horney dog happy I can tell you!

haha, thanks feenix. im trying!

hit my back pretty hard a lil while ago, threw in my ab routine as well. my torso feels like a crumpled soda can! just have my massive destructo leg day tomorrow and im done for the uh...well like a day, one day off, i think im gonna go run on sunday, nothing big, i just wanna see if i can put my mile into the 7's or really low 8's

anywho, adios mi amigos.

man, i HATE when that happens....and it always happens at the worst time like when there's someone at the door or when the phones ringing and i'll be standing there thinking can it just wake up already!

it's reminds me of the scene in kill bill (loved both 1&2), the one where uma thurman's just gotten up from a coma she's been in for like weeks, and can't move her legs but she's on a mission and nothing will stop her so she's there telling herself 'wiggle your big toe' and it works....wish that could work in real life.

by the way, i loved the kill bill movies, they're probably in my top 10 greatest movies of all time. hmmm that would be a good thread to start by the way.

gah, my leg fell asleep. bad. im standing in the hallway, not moving. ugh.

yeah, i was draggin my foot behind me, all creepy like haha.

indeed it would be a good thread

leg workout was intense! I did squats, single-leg leg press, leg ext, leg curls, seated calf raise, and super cat calf raises. ugh. i feel like jello!

some dude kept checking me out. that was awkward, i could see him in the mirror while i was doing my calf raises. ick!

got my groceries for the week. switchin to steam veggies and upping my chicken intake to 2 cups a day, and switching days with a salmon/tuna mix.

I also decided on the days i don't do abs im going to sprint a mile after my workout, maybe it will bump me over this plateau im in. Im stuck at 258.

anywho, i got fajitas for tonight. hellz yeah.

k, im gonna go wash my truck, i live in the country and my windshield looks like a bug graveyard. yummy.

What kind of truck to you have? Just because I'm curious..

I drive a 94 Toyota. That I am in love with. Hah.

you call that a plateau?
I'll trade you my month :p for your couple of days Mr!

how is it living in the country? I am curious

I would check you out while you work out. uhu, uhu. -wink-
if I were a dude, too. haha

yeah its a plateau to me.

the country is nice, its quiet, the air is wonderful. I can go out and shoot stuff in the backyard. my puppy can go and play wherever she wants. the night sky is clear for star watching. um...its so quiet. ugh. peaceful.

oh yeah, check me out.

that's what I miss about living in an island. clear sky, quite spaces.
but the city has its magic as well.

--checks you out--
grabs her beard and stares- spits on the floor--
:p oh wait I am not the dude

my city is full of shitty driving college students, and tons of other people. I like to get in and get out. my weekends are my peaceful days. mon-fri i have to be "social Mike". so i tend to stay at home as much as possible.

yeah, you should be the girl. I'm more comfortable with that :p

wow, it seriously took me 2 hrs to wash my truck? i wonder how many calories were burned during that process.

i dunno why, but like every sunday is my day to notice things. i have a mirror at the end of my hallway and i can tell my legs get more shredded every sunday. I can also see my collarbone and then huge ass muscle of my chest, i can see it tighten up now. also my neck is getting all trim i guess. i can see the separation of my delts in my shoulders now as well, and the traps poppin at the top of my shoulders. I guess during the week it stays hidden and shows up when im at rest.

weird.

I saw a post of yours in a running thread, thought I would stop by and see what your workouts are like.

I am a very very beginning runner. (did i say very beginning?). But at the start of my weight loss I couldnt run long at all (and I figure skate so go figure). I am finding that now I am getting close to being able to run a full mile (doesnt sound like alot, but I am working on it). My body seems to be wanting to do more than the mile, but its my breathing that I need to work on. I am breathing in through nose out mouth.

Hmmm. Anyway just wanted to stop bye. Sounds like you are doing really good at sticking to the routine. I am impressed you can get up to 7.1 on the treadmill. But at 6'2 (I think thats what i read) you probably have long strides. I am 5'1 and 3/4" so hitting 4.5 is fast for me.

Unfortunately for I just got laid off, but fortunately I can now concentrate on my work out/diet regimine (sp?). I am looking forward to that

Take care.
Kare

I have a mirror at the end of my hallway too, and I do the same thing. My waist is what shows the biggest improvement, and my arms.
