Today I finally bought a scale. It has a fat % thingy on it. I've been doing very well today with my eating program & went for a 30min. fast walk.
I belong to a gym. I need to go there again. For now I'd rather walk at the park instead of on the treadmill. Though I know it's good to start doing weights, I don't want to yet. I'll definitely feel more bulky.



Current Weight: 123.6 34.2% fat
Goals: 100 lbs 24% body fat

Giving myself 6 months to do it. That'd be 1 lb/week. Healthy!

Wow good for you 6mo is a very realistic goal :) weights wont bulk you up and it ll raise your metabolism so you actually burn more cals and itll lower your bf% :) you should consider adding it in. what is your eating plan like? :)

Thanks for encouraging me to do weights. I actually did go to the gym & did 15min. of upper body weights (3 sets of 12 for several muscles) & 12 min of eliptical thing.
That's on top of 30 min fast walking this morning.

My eating plan has apples, bananas, tuna, chicken, lots of steamed veggies, water, whole grain breads, etc. I'm eating 6 times/day.

What is your plan? How are you doing with it?
 
Don’t forget some kind of iron in your diet or you will get really tired. Everything else sounds wonderful.
 
Today I have been sticking to my eating plan without any trouble thank goodness. It's a beautiful day so I'll be taking my son in his stroller for a fast walk in the park. I have a really good attitude right now in that I'm not shaming myself for my extra pounds. That's new for me! It sure helps me stay motivated. If I am mean to myself about the extra pounds I just want to eat & eat to shove away the pain. Interesting!
 
Congrats on sticking to your plan :) yeah i do that too eat away my worries its good that youve realise what you do, now you can see it coming and keep it under controle :)

I basically eat clean(no junk food,sweets,suggar subs. stuff like that. only fresh or frozen fruits and veggies, nothing proccessed drink only water and milk(coffee lol)....)i eat 6 meals a day i try and have my macro nutrients running at 20%fat-40%carbs-40%prot. of my daily cals, its been going great ive lost about 29 lbs since april and a bunch of inches. i do cardio(HIIT,jogging,elliptical and other stuff) 5xs a week and lift weights 5xs a week. i love it! i feel so good about myself its amazing what a few changes can make. :)
 
29 lbs. since April of THIS year??? WOW! I want to feel like you do. I'm GOING to feel like you do! If that's you in the picture you look like you've reached your goal. Have you? Are you planning on participating in fitness contests?

Anyhow, nothing like a cold Pink Lady apple after brisk walking. Mmmm!
 
Hi vaniity, glad to have ya here. Sounds like your doing great and you have alot of enthusiasm! I saw your weight goal is 100 pds...how tall are you? everyone's different I know,I"m 5'7 and 100 pds to me would be skin and bones.

Glad to be here! Wow, such wonderful support! I'm going to soon get involved in encouraging others too. I'd love to. I am only 5' so 100 to 105 is good for me. It would be skin & bones for most people but I'm a shorty for sure!
 
It's 10:30pm. I've had a great day in following my plan. After dinner H, baby & I walked to an ice cream shop. I had a small fat free raspberry sorbet with a few mini-chocolate chips mixed in. Didn't even finish it. It was nice to be able to have a treat like that. My H had a full fat super caloried thing there & I was not tempted. H even wanted to order pizza for dindin but I said "You can have pizza, I'll have baked chicken with steamed veggies." He opted for the healthier fare. Good job to me!
 
Wow congrats on making a great food choice. i love ice cream that would have been a hard one for me ;)

Thanks for the compliment Vanity, yeah 29lbs since april of this yr but im stuck on a plateau and it sucks :( i only have 10lbs(well 13 i put on 3lbs)not planning on entering any comps but life is short so you never know, im training like i am though lol.

pink lady apples mmmm love em!green ones are my fave though. yeah with you being 5' 100-105 lbs would be perfect! :cool:

Yesterday I did very well through the afternoon. I went to the gym & did lower body wts. and 12 min cardio. Had an alcoholic drink in the evening which loosened me up to the idea of sneaking 5 Fig Newtons. I later had fat-free ice cream with banana & a little p.b. + graham cracker crust mixed in. Oh, I also ate one of my son's chicken nuggets. SO, it's a new day and better day.

A big difference this time is I don't feel defeated. This helps me stay on course. I usually would give up totally since I didn't do 100% of what I intended yesterday.
 
Just got back from the gym. Did upper body weights + 12 min eliptical. I wanted to kick back with some wine & food instead, but, I resisted. I feel really good that I did the healthy thing. :D
 
Wow that’s terrific exercise. When you have a glass of wine try and have some low fat foods on hand so you can still have a nibble on something. Then you won’t feel like you are depriving yourself of anything. Well done.
 
good for you!! :) resisting temptation is always hard sometimes. and its ok to give in once and a while as long as you get back on track and dont beat your self up about it. Your doing great! keep it up :D
 
Thanks Rosered & Smiley. Nice new pic. Smiley! I did some more weights & elliptical this morning. Last night I fell off the wagon a bit, but, not beating myself up. Doing well. Yeay!
