Old men can be sooooooo creepy when they hit on young girls! My boyfriend finds it hysterical when guys hit on me... especially when its right in front of him.

Your doing such a great job... even with TOM visiting!

You are hysterical as usual
I'll drop back in later

Lord... I so should be in bed by now, but got caught up trying to help my husband with work related things. Ack.... I'll make sure to post everyone tomorrow when I'm of sound mind and I'm not drooling from lack of sleep. haha! So let's just get to the nitty gritty....

Note to self: I'm pretty proud of myself. I still had food leftover for lunch. Instead of taking my time and picking here and there, I decided to toss out what I didn't eat. I mean it wasn't a lot, but it was still enough for me to have to really figure out what I wanted to do. I didn't "clean my plate." :) Also, I walked passed the customer service window at a grocery store and saw myself on the screen overhead. I actually had to double take to make sure that was me! :D I usually always keep my head down, so I don't have to see myself on their screen. Yah me!! As silly as this may sound, it really made me realize, "Damn Sheryl. You're looking good." Tee hee!

Good night everyone.

Wow I don't have to go to the gym tonight I'm exausted reading what you did lol........

I'm not too young, 27, but I tend to look younger than I am. But men over 45 should NOT be hitting on me...but they do. Them and 16 year olds. Sheesh. But...I have my man (who is only 28) and am happy...so i guess it doesn't matter who is hitting on me. I just laugh.

hey girlie.... whats up? where you been today?lol
I hope all is well.
Good night

OooOOoh girl... these damn thunderstorms are keeping me from putting my computer on. haha! I assure you though, I'm still around. I'm not going to drop off the wagon....

-Sheryl

So last night, the thunderstorms kept my ass away from computer. I have a backup, but I swear, you should have seen this thunderstorm. Lightning hit a tree not more than 20 yards away and my ears were ringing like mad. With my luck, I would have ended up getting electrocuted or something. Ha! Hence my reason for not posting yesterday's "accomplishments." (Afterall, it's an accomplishment to get my bum out there and workout as well as not eat crap food. haha)

So right now, I'm packing things up because I have a hectic weekend. My brother in law is joining the Army and the family's throwing him a going away party today. I'm in charge of picking up a full sheet cake and ice cream (damn them skinny bastards who can eat anything and not gain- ALL of my in-laws), but I'm going to also make a fruit salad for piece of mind. Hell, they always have chips and dips. I can't eat that! Then tomorrow, we're off to Darien Lake which I'm REALLY excited about. WOOT! Rollercoasters! I'm going to pack food in a small cooler, so I don't have to eat expensive, unhealthy crap. Anyways, I'm wishing everyone a great weekend! You'll hear back from me come Monday!

-Sheryl

Hey there MGB, I was checking out your diary and was glad to see you're doing this the healthy way and encouraging others to do the same. Great job on planning your food while out, that is certainly the way to do it!

BTW, we also had such bad lightening the other night that my mom (I'm visiting her for the weekend) insisted on turning off the computer. Weird thing was it didn't rain, but the lightening was like something I rarely see .

Hey Sheryl--

How did the weekend go?

Sounds like you had a fun and well planned weekend ahead:) Great job plannign and packing food before you went... that's a sure way to stay on track.

okay...i had to stop by your diary because you have the GREATEST NAME EVER!!! I love it.....

I am new here and trying to navigate my way around....

have a great night

I SOOO Hate Drama-Filled Weekends.. Bah

I was really looking forward to this weekend. Hanging out with the in laws, doing a nice BBQ, going to Darien Lake Theme Park. Instead, it turned into a complete mess. Drama.. frickin'... Drama. So yup... no rollcoasters for Sheryl. Damnitt. I won't go into full details about the situation, because I doubt my husband would appreciate that. Ha! However, all I can say is I am GLAD to be home. Saturday and Sunday I did really well with watching what I ate. Sure, I had a piece of "going away cake," but I deserved it. Alright.. so maybe I ate a few BBQ potato chips? It's alright, I'm not going to beat myself senseless for the next week. I have better things to do with my time. I kept to my calorie range (1990-2340) and did some form of cardio, so I'm happy.

As a result for the weekend full of drama, I had the damndest time sleeping last night. I woke up at my usual 5:15am to change into my workout clothes, took a brisk 60 min walk, then got home feeling like I wanted to pass out. Unfortunately, today was a very hectic day and I have YET to nap. (Ha! It's almost 9pm, so nap will turn into "good night." haha) I wanted to start my Power 90 DVD today, but I can't muster enough strength trying to run errands, so I'm not going to force it. I'll just start tomorrow and consider today my "off day." I've had these Power90 DVDs for almost 2 years and they have YET to be removed from the shrink wrap. Tomorrow's a new day and a new 3 month adventure. (Power 90 is a 90 day program where you pretty much take part in a home boot camp.) I've known a number of people who have done the program and who have had wonderful results. What can I say, I want to be one of those P90 infommercial successes. haha! Well enough BS... here are today's accomplishments.

Workout:
- 60 min brisk walk
- 60 min moderate walk

Meals:

Breakfast
-1/2 c oatmeal with 1 c halved strawberries
- 2 kiwi sliced with 1/2c 1% cottage cheese (370 cal)

Snack
- Sheryl's Infamous Ghetto Banana Burrito with 1c 1% milk (540 cal)

Lunch
-1/2c refried beans and 1/2c Goya black beans with onions, salsa, chopped romaine lettuce, tomatoes wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla
- 1 sliced pluot (It was sour as hell... ick) (450 cal)

Snack
10 baby carrots (had to munch on something while I was cooking dinner) (40 cal)

Dinner
- whole wheat pasta with black beans, zucchini, spinach, onions, red pepper flakes, chicken breast, and bell peppers topped with part skim mozarella cheese (480 cal)

Total Calories: 1, 880 calories (1990-2340)
President Challenge Points Earned: 551
Notes: I'll make myself a cup of milk to fill in that calorie gap. Also, I'm so going to bed early tonight. I need to get a full 8 hours to feel normal, then tomorrow's the start of Power 90! I'm excited and going to push through no matter how boring it gets. hahaaa! I can commit to 90 days! Sleep tight, everyone.

-Sheryl

Hey there MGB, I was checking out your diary and was glad to see you're doing this the healthy way and encouraging others to do the same. Great job on planning your food while out, that is certainly the way to do it!

Blancita,

thank you so much for dropping in. I've been peeping into your diary as well and I have to say, you're doing fabulous! What I really like about your diary is the fact that you're actually eating and your workouts are awesome! Hmmm I may have to follow that HIIT program you're doing, well that is once my bum gets a bit more fit. hahaa!

-Sheryl

hey sheryl,

So have you weighed in lately??? cause you are doing awesome and probably lost more weight. Too bad for the weekend but i least you stayed on track. (i dont count the cake)lol Oh and your ghetto burrito....i make it with pite bread...we'll call it the Arab Burrito...lol Its good though which reminds me...i need to buy banana's.
Keep up the good work..

Rena

Sorry about the dramatic weekend... lol. At least you're home, safe & sound now. Good luck with Power90. You're doing amazing!

Rena- Ummmm nope... I'm holding back from doing so. hahaa Actually, my scale broke and I'm really not in a rush to buy a new one at the moment. Then again, next week or so, I'll be joining PlanetFitness with my husband, so I'll probably end up using their scale from now on.

I'm not a big fan of scales. I've hated them since... well damn.. forever. haha! It gives me flashbacks to a very distinct time. When I was a little kid, I hopped on the scale during a checkup and my pediatrician said, "Whoah... aren't you a tubby one?" Even at 6 I realized what giving a doctor the middle finger meant. My mom thought he deserved it. LOL!!

I'll be happy to hop on the scale ONCE a week or maybe even once every TWO weeks. haha I used to jump on the scale all the time back in the days while I was "dieting" and instead of making me feel better, I would get depressed over the fluctuations. (I didn't think about water retention, etc) Bah... that's too much of a mindf@ck for me, so I've decided to go with the "Hey.. let's try fitting into a pair of jeans that I bought but never wore because my ass was too big" test. A number on the scale is just that: a number. How my clothes fit is a totally different thing. :) Unfortunately, I do have to weigh myself for the Christmas Clothes Challenge here at the WLF. haha So all my ranting and raving about scales isn't going to do squat.

-Sheryl

PS This morning (6:30am) I started Sculpt 1-2 of Power90 and let me say this: I thought I was in pretty good shape since I've been working out for the past four months. The workout didn't seem all too difficult, but I am SOOOO feeling it now. My arms and thighs are a bit shakey. (Not from overdoing it, because I won't go there.) Mind you, it's only 30 mins long and 5 minutes of that was a good stretch prior. So if you're first starting out and you dive into Power90 expect to feel really tight or sore the following day. No wonder my mom sent it back a year ago. hahaaaa! It's a great workout so far.

Hey Sheryl,
Sorry about the not so successful weekend
Power 90 sounds full on but I quite like (need)having the structure and you know there is an end to it at the end of 90 days! So it takes you till the end of October. You will be even more hot to trot by then! Your family will be blown away! hehehe
Thanks for your message on my diary. It came just at the right time! As my flat mate was leaving we did the usual 'have a good day' routine and then she says ' dont get any skinnier'. Ok this girl is really slim, and Im not (yet). It would have been nicer to here ' I can rally notice you've lost weight' or' you're looking good' thats positive, but why say don't loose any more weight, it is not as if I even have a health BMI yet. OOOOOOHHHH it has made me mad!
Clearly I have some issues to work on! Sorry for the rant!
So yes...our foxy photos! Now there is a challenge you have set me! I hate having my photo taken...for all the obvious reasons, especially if my butt is in the shot!! I have a picture from a magazine that I have cut out of this girl in a bikini....my aim is to look like her! hahaha Well as close as possible without cosmetic surgery at any rate!
Dateing is non-existent at the moment, but I'm busy enough anyway with work, and Im buying a house, and I'm dieting so lots to concentrate on!
Well on that note better get to work. Good luck with Power90, I reckon if you feel it it has done good. There is nothing quite like feeling your muscles becoming toned and firm...apart from feeling them on some hunk of spunk!!! ;)

Sara

Hi MGB. I've been reading through your diary and I'll have to say it's like drinking a shot of caffeine. You are very positive and energetic. That's great. I also do TurboJam when the weather won't let me run outside. I LOVE it. And my baby thinks it's funny when her mommy shakes her booty!

It sounds like you have a stellar nutrition and exercise plan. I wish you the best of luck!
