Messed up abs

HELLLO :) im a typical asian and Ive been trying to get a six pack but Ive realized that my abs are really screwed up. Is there any way to change this? I know there are stuff like genetics and things ive been hearing but Im pretty sure my abs werent like this at first. I think. Is there any way to change this? I think Im working out incorrectly since im just doing sit ups but please comment and tell me what I should do. I hate how retarded it looks and Im even thinking about gaining weight so it wont show too much.
Oh btw I dont work out a lot. RarelyView attachment 4852

When you do abs, its important to hold in your stomach, many push outwards and this creates a domed effect (I know, after 3 years of more sit ups and abs classes (about 3 hours a week- yes I was that desperate!) I went to a new gym, I had amazing teachers, they told me I was doing my abs wrong. I realised this was helping to create a pushed out belly which made me look 6 months pregnant even though I was skinny (BMI 17-18 skinny.)

Try core stability classes, work and focus on your transverse abs, Pliataes is also good and remember, 10 spot on abs beats 100 bad abs. Don't waste your time on abs which don't work. At best your doing nothing but causing your neck to feel pain, at worse your creating a domed (and non muscular looking) belly and could even cause back issues making other forms of exercise problematic as your body contorts to a new position to support and balance out the domed effect. (My spine naturally began to curve, my bottom stuck out and hips jutted back so I was able to balance this new dome of a belly I had. Needless to say I had upper back, lower back/sacrum and shoulder strain issues alot).

a good clean diet is key to getting abs. As far as excersises you always want to try and work all the muscle groups lower abs upper abs and obliques. I always work my lower abs first since there the weakest.
