I figured I would start one of these to help me keep track of everything so here it goes.

-- How much weight do you want to lose?

Total I would like to lose about 100lbs.

-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?

I do not have a time frame, I will go as long as it takes at a reasonable
pace that will allow me to keep the weight off.

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?

Eating better and getting more exercise.

-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?

I am my own support system, I am doing this for me. I am the only person that can motivate me.

-- How realistic is your goal?

Very realistic, seeing how I am already over half way there.

-- When will you start?

I already started about 5 months ago

I little about myself.

I am 25yrs old, soon to be 26 on Feb 3rd. I am 6'5" tall and currently 272lbs. I am from a tiny little town in Central Ohio. I used to travel all over the country for work which got me where I am today. I ate fast food almost every day for over 7yrs, Lived out of a suitcase, had absolutely no social life. I got very little exercise and was stressed out all the time. It was fun for the first couple years but got old. I have been to 48 of the 50 states.

But things are looking up. I got a new job about 4 months ago that allows me to be home every night. Which means, no more fast food, No more nasty hotel rooms, no more suitcase. I am hanging out with me friends again, hopefully start dating again ( I have not had a GF since high school ). I guess I am just ready to start living my life.

A few of my goals.

Get healthy
Fit into a 2xl shirt again :rotflmao:
Stop making fun of myself for being fat
Be happy
 
Congratulations on your weight loss thus far! It's definitely hard to keep healthy when you lead such a hectic life. Glad to hear that you finally have time for y-o-u! :) Good luck with the rest of your journey!

Your goal sounds reasonable and you seem very well grounded. Congrats on your new job, your terrific weight loss so far, AND YOUR B-DAY (which is just one day before mine)!

My intake for the day,

Breakfast:

Banana

Lunch:

Sandwich w/ Salami. Swiss Cheese, Mustard
100 Calorie bag of Sun Chips

Snack:

Sugar Free Jello
Sugar free Mandarin oranges

Dinner:

Small salad w/ fat free ranch dressing
2 slices of pizza


I will probably not work out today.
 
Thank you for thinking of me. I am doing pretty good, How about yourself? I am pretty sore though. Yesterday I played full court basketball for 3hrs straight. I wasnt to bad last night but I sure was feeling it this morning, lol. I needed the exercise thought after the lunch I had ;)

Yesterdays intake:

Breakfast-

100 calorie pack of chocolate covered pretzels

Lunch-

Philly Cheese steak and french fries

Dinner-

Small salad


Todays intake:

Breakfast-

100 calorie bag of mini rice cakes

Snack-

Power bar

Lunch-

Salad, sugar free jello, sugar free mandarin oranges, 100 calorie bag of chips

Dinner-

Meatloaf, baked potato, green beans
 
Hey there, congrats on your weight loss so far! I just saw your progress pics, and you can definitely tell the difference. 6'5? Hot! You will get a gf no problem. Oh, and what 2 states haven't you been to?

Yeah I am kinda tall, lol. My old job didn't leave much time for a relationship with me being gone from home all the time.

The only 2 states I have not made it to yet is South Dakota and Hawaii. I dont really care if I make it to South Dakota but I would love to make it to Hawaii some day.


Yesterday was my birthday so I kinda let myself eat whatever I wanted. I had some bbq pulled pork and homemade Mac and Cheese. Then of course we had cake and ice cream, lol. I really didnt do much better today either. At work I was still pretty hungry after my salad so I went to Arby's and got a roast beef sandwich. Then had left over bbq and mac and cheese for dinner. 2 days of that is enough, back to the diet tomorrow.
 
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! It's ok to treat yourself every once in a while for sure -- especially on your birthday! :party: Hope it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Keep up the progress. WOO.

PS Do you know where in Hawaii you want to go? I got stung by a DEAD jellyfish the first time I went there. Something like that would happen to me. Haha.
 
Well I have not been on in a few days not but things are going pretty good still. I lost 4lbs last week and I am very happy about that. I have decided to step things up a little bit starting this weekend. I am going to start eating a little more healthy for my dinners to go with the healthy lunch I have been eating. I am also going to kick up my exercise.

I had a late night out last night so I didnt roll out of bed until 11am so I did not eat breakfast.

Lunch:

Turkey Burger on a whole grain bun w/ light mayo
1 cup of sugar free peaches

Dinner:

8oz grilled chicken
1 cup of green beans

Exercise:

walked/jogged 7 miles

I hope you get to Hawaii, but you hafta go to S. Dakota too just so you can say you've been to all 50.

And I'm gonna have to agree w/ lizzie23. At 6'5" you'll definitely turn some heads, as a tall girl, I can tell you tall guys are hard to come by.
 
Sounds like you are doing great! I see you are a basketball player...so am I. I am playing in a tournament in April, so it is my goal to be back in shape by then. Congrats on your loss so far!
 
Well its been a little over a month since I was last on. My laptop pooped out on me. But I am back now as you can tell, lol.

I have lost 14lbs since then. Even though I havent lost anything in the last 2 weeks. I guess that means I am actually going to have to actually start working out :( . I even joined a gym today, geesh who would habe thought they would be so expensive.


So my stats now are, 6'5", 256lbs and still 100% Sexy. lol
 
Wow the gym has really been kicking my ass, lol. I am already seeing some defferences in the little amount of time I have been going. I am going longer and harder on the treadmill, bike, eliptical than when I first started. I started lifting today. I leg pressed 690lbs, I was pretty surprised. I guess carrying all that weight my whole life has given me some strong legs, lol.

I plan on going to the gym everynight, mon-fri. So far so good.
 
I am down below my original goal as of today. When I first started my weight loss journey way back when I was 330lbs, I always said I would love to be down around 250lbs. As I got closer and closer I quickly realized that it wasnt going to be enough. So I changed my goal to 230lbs, which is the high side of what I should be for my height and build. I am now down to 249lbs. I have been going to the gym at least 4 nights a week. I still pretty much eat whatever I want, just in moderation. I am lifting a good bit now, trying to turn the fat I still have into muscle. I am going to be such a BEEFCAKE, lol
 
11 pounds to go :smash:

I havent posted to my Journal in a couple months now but according to it I have only lost 8 pounds since then. I have been going to the gym 4-5 nights a week but I mostly been weight lifting. I think I have lost more than 8 pounds of fat, just replaced some of it with muscle.

The hardest thing for me right now is my eating. With the weather getting nicer, there are more cookouts and parties. Which in turn means lots of great food and beer. I cant seem to say no to a big rack of ribs and an ice cold beer :beerchug:
 
Im doing pretty good at stopping in once a month an updating things, lol.

I pretty much slacked off all last month so I only lost 3lbs according to my last post. I am ready to get back at it. I broke my ankle a couple weeks ago so I am going to be kind of limited with the exercising I am going to be able to do. So I have decided to hit the weights hard for the next couple of months while my ankle heals up.

So hopefully I can work on losing the man boobs and love handles :smash:.

Since I am going to be lifting a lot I figured I would keep track of inches as well since I may not lose a lot of weight.

Current stats

Height - 6ft 5in
Weight - 238lbs
Stomach - 45 in
Chest - 47 in
Arms - 16in
Waist - 40 in
