Meal Replacements

new guy here, i am currently trying to lose some weight i wouldnt say im fat but i have a little gut. I am 5' 9" tall and wiegh 220. No i am very muscular and the lightest i have ever been was 185 and when i was that wieght i had a full blown 6 pack. I just starting working a desk job and dont get to move around as much as i would like too. i play roller hockey three times a week and run 2 days a week. I am wanting to either replace breakfast or lunch with some type of protein drink or something, basically a meal replacement drink. what do you guys recomend. Something to help speed up my metabolism and give me some energy. Any help is really appreciated.

If you really want to help your metabolism, stick to having real food, especially for breakfast. What does your breakfast/lunch consist of?

im not saying that a protein shake would give me energy i was asking what was out there to help in that and i said protein shake for an example. In the morning i typically eat a bowl of cereal and thats it and maybe an apple, but i dont always have time to do that thats why i want a drink that i could drink whenever whether im late for work or have a meeting to go to, i can always have a drink

to really lose weight, you should try eating 5-7 smaller meals a day.
every meal should contain protein..and plenty of it.

MRP's and shakes will leave you starving after an hour...so they work best by added an appropriate carb OR fat source to slow digestion.

You won't speed up your metabolism by substituting a meal replacement! You need to up the amount of energy you're expending, and keep your metabolism running high as much as possible by eating good frequent meals.
