Me too! Edit my routine!

My goals. Be a better softball player. Season starts in about 8 weeks.
I like that my clothes have been fitting better and would like to continue. I am not obsesses with weight loss of weight gain. More energy! and More energy!

I have ner really been in a good enough routine to get to the point to think about making a switch. I think I am at that point.

Should I and what would the results be if I increase weight and decrease reps?

Should I and what would the results be if I go to a whole new group of exercises?

Should I sub a few new exercises in and continue with three sets of 12?

My typical workout is 3 set of 12.

20 minutes on the stepmill
bench press
straight curl bar curls
incline or decline bench which ever is open
standing rows with the same bar and weight as curls
rolling up rope with 10 lb weight
behind head pull downs
V bar push downs
wrist curls

10 minutes of hiit. 30 second sprints 1.30 walk.

Doesnt alot of the swinging power come from the lower body? I would definitely add squats to your routine. Are you looking for a full body workout, or are you interested in splitting up muscle groups? If full body, I would do dips instead of rope pulldowns, and wide grip pullups instead of curls.

I do a lower body workout a couple of times a week that does include squats.

As for pullups and dips. I am not sure I could do one of either.

Sorry I just noticed your signature. Forget pu and dips, but do bent over rows, and try tricep extensions instead of pulldowns. Maybe alternate hammer curls week to week. Do some shrugs. But again is that the order you do them in?
