Me, myself and the new I

My name is Kim and I am 25 (almost 26). I decided that enough was enough this year. I have been on my diet for a little over a week now but really got serious about it this past Tuesday. I want to get back to where I used to be, you know... when it was easy to tie your shoes, walk up a flight of stairs or easy to find my center on the back of my horse.

I have a Wii so I have been working on that. I have been doing the Wii fit and the biggest loser game (wooo Jillian Michaels is kicking my @ss on there :drool5:). I have also been doing some time on the eliptical as well as the recumbent bike. So I weighed in on the Wii and the results are in... (hang on to your seats) it was a whopping 300lbs... :eek2: I know, I know, I felt my heart sink and about fell off the balance board. But this is the road that has led me here. It has also led me to calorie counting, fresh fruit, smoothies for breakfast and Crystal Light allday long. No more diet coke, ice cream, fast food, candy, or anything that will not contribute to my New Year, New me!!

I have really decided that I want to get back to competing on My pleasure horses and 2010 is my year to get back into shape and get back in the saddle (literally). My gelding is 17 and we have competed together for 13 years. I want to make the most of our last few years being able to show. So I really need to jump start my diet and get ready for the Houston Livestock show this year... I need to get my tail in gear!! So I will be working as hard as I can and trying to stay away from anything fried, sweet or full of calories. I should just follow the Cardiologist Diet... If it taste good, Spit it out!!!

Thanks for reading this and sharing in my journey. I hope to post pictures, measurements and updates throughout my journey.:seeya::seeya:
