McDonalds, or nothing at all?

Which would be a better choice for dinner, McDonalds or nothing at all. Everyone seems to rag on fast food here because yes it is terrible for keeping in shape but is it as bad as eating nothing for dinner?

The amount of bad fats in that food is ridiculous, so I say nothing. But why can't you take that $5.49 to the store and get something healthy and useful to your body?

go to a convience store and get some pre cooked chicken if you can, if you must have Macdonalds go for a grilled chicken salad with no dressing.
However if you are going to get a burger buy 2 regular hamburgers, ditch the 2 top buns and make the burger using the 2 bottom buns as they are slightly better then the top halves

well of course mcdonald's is better than nothing.
but living is better than being dead.

the lesser of two evils....is STILL EVIL ;)

McDeez isnt too bad, actually had lunch there today. As long as you dont eat fastfood daily its nothing to worry about. And its certainly better than skipping dinner.

if theres a mcdonalds around isnt there something like a subway around too? if theres a wendies, you could get a chili. those are prety good

What I do is get a double cheeseburger and a yogurt parfait. It is $2 and has some bad and some good. It tides me over for at least an hour or 2.

I'd be willing to say nothing...for the time being until you can get somewhere that has something healthier....until then, go in and order the largest cup of iced water you can get to tie you over.

There is no reason to eat fast food on a regular basis. Go to a local market and get 5 bucks worth of precooked meat.

Hydrodgenated oils = mcd's main cooking source = not your friend
little bit of extra effort = better food = wont tear your insides up

^ Exactly..couldnt have said it better myself.

I never liked McDonalds. When I am in college and i have nothing to eat, i like to go to Wendys and pick up a Jr Bacon cheeseburger and some french fries with some sweet tea. This only happens twice a week since i only had the class twice a week. I am sure it would reek havoc on other people, but my metabolism is too fast so I don't gain weight from eating a few burgers a week. I have not had Wendys for about 2 months now.

Atleast Wendys had a tomato and some lettuce. I remember trying Mcdonals burger and it had a bun, ketchup and meat. HAHAHA.

But to get to your point, McDonalds is unhealthy and so are all fast foods. But if you have a fast metabolism like me you can pass with a little food. If you dont eat the burger then eat a little bit of french fries or go to Wal-mart and pick up a few fruits :). mmmmmm i love fruits :D

You need to see the movie Super Size Me. That will answer all of your questions about ever eating at McDonalds! If you are starving and can't find any other option then get a salad but there are very few things I would eat from that place. It is your choice in the end and yes there is probably some stuff there that "tastes good" but that doesn't mean it's good for you! :)

Depnends on your goals and what you have. If your bulking and weigh 150lbs a cheese burger is better than nothing. If your dieting and weigh 300lbs i'd grab some milk and a salad if its gonna be hours before you can eat something else.

the reason im asking is cuz sometimes my dad doesnt give me any option but mcdonalds and i cant drive yet so i was jw which is better...

Most fast food places use "grade D" beef and if you know anything about the FDA and food processing you do not want to eat this stuff. Its not just about calories and fat content, but about the quality of stuff you are putting in your body. Even if you have a fast/high metabolism, that doesnt change the fact that you are basicallly metabolizing crap. Each hamburger contains beef from over 20 different cows...in one burger!! The stuff is just nasty. Tell your dad to take you to the grocery store and buy some beef there.

McDonalds should be avoided at all cost
if you must get their chicken salad.if they still offer it that is as i wouldn't know since i haven't had fast food in about 3 years

Ok starving would be a bad thing period. Not everybody has time to run to a store, go in, get something quick cook, and get it made for a lunch. I'm sorry, but really this is sometimes UNREASONABLE. Now moreso to the point what happened to the 10% neglible rule I keep reading about? If you were falling under that wouldn't this be OK? I'm not saying make it apart of it but I'd feel that instead of starving it would just apply to the 10% Of course I am new to this and am a little iffy still.

Super Size Me, being a good movie I own, is a biast perspective movie and you must realize that. It is there to take down the Super Size option like it did. (Noteably the extra features on DVD has a cool thing about the super fries, which you should avoid at ALL costs.)

See my post above and you will agree then that you are better of just drinking water (its free) until you can get to a better place to get food. If there is a Mickie D's around, then there has to be something else that is healthier around as well. Drink water until you find that place even if it takes and extra 30 minutes or whatever. You will not "waste away" in that period of time I assure you.
