Matt's Diary

Hey guys,

Thought I'd start a diary on here too... :D

I have already posted my 'before' pics here: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/before-after-between/16625-my-before-pics.html

Ok, so today I had my first proper session with my personal trainer, basically the way it works is this:

- I get a health check to begin with.
- Then they show me how to excercise and use the machines.
- Then they give me a program to follow for 12 weeks in total
- I meet my personal trainer every 2 weeks thereafter so they can review my progress.

At the moment, I weigh in at 95kg/209lbs and have been told that my ideal weight should be about 75kg/170lbs, so I have a nice round number of 20kg/45lbs to lose.

So, through being a master mathematician, if on average I aim to lose 2lbs per week, I'm looking (realistically) at about 6 months to reach my target. Just in time for summer next year :D

I have decided to follow a healthy diet, restricting most carbs to breakfast and lunch and eating low fat foods. Along with working out 5 days a week (cardio) and including weight training into 3 of these. Each workout lasting an hour.

If I havn't bored you to sleep and you actually read all of that you are either VERY bored or have the patience of the pope! :)

Anyway, as I said - had my first proper workout session today. Was pretty tough! but I'm gonna slog it out, I'm determined to get nice and slim! Haha. Will possibly update this again tomorrow after my first workout session alone.

Matt.

Welcome to WLF. Your plan looks great. I don't see anything wrong with it. :)

What are you studying at uni?

Best wishes!:cheers2:

heeeello...

Good luck with the weight loss! I looooved having a pt for the short time that I was able to afford one. It forces you to do the exercise!

I'll pop back in here sometime soon!

Thanks guys!

My memory is terrible so you'll have to rely on me actually remembering to update this! :)

I'm doing a degree in nursing and then I plan to go on to med school hopefully!

Yeah! I find it quite motivating, when I'm alone I sometimes find myself cheating! But yeah, they are so expensive... I got this 12 weeks at a really low price on offer when I joined the gym. Hopefully it'll be enough to give me a good grounding for working out.

That said - 12 weeks is 3 months so that will be halfway to my target already, woah! This seems much more accomplishable after all! :D

Take care guys,

Matt.
