congrats on gettng married -that's exciting...

great list you've got there.. is that your priority order?

In goal setting one of the things that's strongly suggested is to make the goal quantifiable and measurable -eat less and exercise more aren't really measurable - set a goal you can check off - such as walk 20 minutes a day 4 days a week - and for eating - figure out an appropriate calorie range = i'd strongly suggest no less than 2000 but probably around 2500 or so to start with and daily record your calories.. it's tough to eat less when you don't know what you're eating to begin with
 
Okay, Okay so I've been lazy!

Okay okay so I've been lazy and have NOT followed my plan. Its really hard I'm struggling to get back on my plan. But, I have a new reason to lose weight. Another one to add to the hundreds I already have. Not only for my health. But I want to have a baby. not right now, but in the future, and I can't do that if I'm 400lbs. technically I'm only 391. Yep you've got it I have gained 20 pounds. On my little eating binge. Go me. So I'm determined not to see 400lbs again. I've seen it once and I couldn't hardly keep up with my family when we went to the outlets I was out of breath and I had to sit down I won't become a burden on anyone again.. I'm seriously considering going to overeaters anonymous. I'm REAL embarrassed though. But any way, I'm going to start off with about 1500-2000 calories a day. I give myself the 500 calorie difference just in case 1500 is too low and I feel as though I'm starving. Because lately I've just been inhaling food. Exercise I haven't really thought about because I'm working now and my feet kill me, so I really don't feel like going for a walk after work. Plus I work one of those flexible schedules where sometimes I work at night and then I work in the day also. Thats making it tough for me to lose weight as well. I know I will have to incorperate exercise at some point. I feel if I try to do it all at once it might be too much. So Today I've started off well I think,

An Egg Sandwich

(normally I will be eating cereal but we have about a dozen eggs that are about to go out of date so we're trying to eat them)

Lunch:

I plan on having a Michelena Frozen Entree.

Dinner:

Cheeseburger
Tater Tots.


Thats the plan for the day.. The cheeseburger is home made with 93/7 hamburger. Lets see if I can do this permanently this time.
 
5 pounds down, 236lbs to go!

OKay so I went to the dietician yesterday and well, I've lost 5 pounds bringing me down from 391 to 386. I'm really excited! I've started the week off alittle rocky because I had mcdonalds... evil.... Me and mom were out and about and we needed to eat something so the closest thing was mcdonalds. I had a Chicken Sandwich, and a medium fry. It is now today that I think I could have had a Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. But oh, well whats done is done and now I've learned for next time. It doesn't sound like I'm really ready to do this but I've started off today GREAT! I had

Cinnamon Life Cereal for breakfast 1 cup and a 1/2 cup of milk,= 240 calories


Either a leftover cheeseburger or a Michalena frozen entree for lunch.= 290-400 calories

Dinner I'm not sure what I'm having, it might be a michalena frozen entree so that would be about 290-400 calories as well.

and for a snack I got apples and fat free caramel dip which would be about 180 calories.

for a grand total of: 1220Calories.

hmph, not enough calories. Well, maybe I'll have a salad with dinner and eat the fattening dressing with it and it will bump my cals up to a good number. Or I could have another snack of apples and caramel dip fat free of course.
 
2000 calories for your current weight and your former eating habits might be a trifle low and tough to manage... you might wantt go up a little bit to have it be something youo can stick with -

and concentrate on less processed foods, more nutritious foods and just going day by day...

Thanks! Yeah I found yesterday that It was a little tough to manage and I didn't really pull through like I'd hoped. Plus I've been working at night so when I come home I'm starving but I've eaten dinner before work. So I don't know what to do about that, Last night I ate a frozen entree to the tune of 380 calories. So that 1220 cals for yesterday made it up to about 2000 or more. I had tacos for dinner but I didn't do the math on them. So probably more than 2000 cals. Homemade tacos by the way :) I didn't put a lot of meat or cheese on them either I put more lettuce and tomatoes. I definitely eat a lot of processed foods. Sandwiches luncheon meats, frozen dinners. yeah lots of processed foods. I'm not a big fruit eater but I will eat veggies. I've taken a liking to apples though. Today I've had:

Cinnamon Life Cereal -1 cup 1/2 cup of milk. 240 calories

Frozen Entree - 380 calories

Rice crispy treat- 90 calories

710 calories so far.

Dinner were having pulled pork its acutally a pork roast and we've seasoned it and put it in the crock pot. Then we pull it apart with a fork and eat it on rolls with BBQ sauce.

( I wasn't sure if pulled pork that you get out was actually a roast or what so I decided I'd elaborate.) :)

I weighed myself and it says I've lost 6 pounds since Monday. I'm NOT celebrating yet! But atleast its going down and not up. I go by the dietician's scale and not my own.
 
So here is a little update. I went to the dietician after increasing my calories and gained. I weighed 391. I haven't watched calories this week but have watched portions, I lost to 386. Now I'm trying to count calories. I'm eating about 1500 calories a day. and I'm going to see how that works for me. Today I've had a Frozen Entree, to the tune of 450 calories to start off the day. I'm feeling about half sick to my stomach. So I'm doing okay for now, I'll update the day I go to the dietician which is tuesday. See how I'm progressing.
 
So here is my update. I was on my diet the last 3 days of last week and am still on it now. So I'm on for 7 days and counting. Counting calories as well.So when I weighed in on tuesday after only being on for 3 days or so I had lost one pound. Sigh.... only one pound?! I thought for sure it would be more than that.. I was even feeling skinnier. So I'm down to 385 from 386. Which I guess any loss is better than no loss. But I'm still disappointed. I'm still on it though maybe next week will be better. Today I'm having:

Roast Beef Sandwich which is probably about 500 calories.

For lunch I'm having a TV Dinner 390 calories.

Dinner : Left over meatloaf mashed potatoes and lima beans. about 550calories

Thats a grand total of 1440 calories.

Pretty close to my 1500 calories a day goal.

not so bad so far.. I'll update again in a few days.
