Marci's Diet Diary...

Who knows. Perhaps writing down everything disgusting that I eat and do for the general public to read and criticize will give me some motivation. :p

This is the big numero uno.

Today I woke up and had leftover ColdStone Ice Cream for breakfast. I was sick last night so I didn't get a chance to eat it. Then I had three Whopper Juniors for lunch and Coke.

WTF Is my problem?
I used to have an EDNOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified)...sort of a bulimia with anorexic tendencies, and everytime I eat crap like this and have days like this I almost...almost miss it.

So today I joined so that you all can give your opinions...tips...and anything that can help me out.

Do you spend any time planning your meals ?

try to plan for having some protein in each meal you have to keep you full for longer which will help stopping the urge to binge on things like burgers.

Welcome to the site MarciMayy, and good luck with your eating disorder. I hope for two things for you right now. Firstly I hope that you will continue to write (honestly) in your diary. And secondly I hope never to see you writing that you ate ice cream for breakfast.

As I said best of luck, and keep writing.:waving:

February 6th

It's so hard to diet with constant PMS.
Just saying.

This is what confuses me.
I've been dating a girl for quite a while now.
And this month my period is half a month late.
Just stress?
Okay. stupid question. I haven't slept with any guys in months and months.
I'm paranoid, I guess.

I feel like this PMS has been my excuse for not really, truly starting this diet.
It's unacceptable, I know. I'm just incredibly lazy.

I've had a lot of ice cream. I blame PMS.
I had McDonalds on the third, but in my defense, it was almost midnight and I hadn't eaten that day (I went to see RENT on broadway and it ran very late..)

Here's the positive, I guess.
I had a lot of sex last night, which is supposed to be a good workout, in theory, right?
I mean.. I definitely broke a sweat. So that's a partial success.

Let me know how you guys are feeling...

February 11th

As you can see by my ticker, I gained weight.
I went to the doctors today to find out why I haven't gotten my period...
And I have another kidney infection. It's not nearly as bad as last time though, which is good.
I ate taco bell today (chicken quesadilla with a soft shell taco) and also some walmart brand ice cream....
Not my greatest day.
Is Cran-Ras Juice any good for me? I plan on drinking a lotlotlot of it to get rid of this kidney infection, plus I'll be drowning my stomach in water to clean my system.

My younger cousin has started exercising vigorously, which is motivation for me...because I don't want her to be thinner than I am.

I'm doing pilates tonight...
Any advice on some big fat burners or ANYTHING???!?

hey marci! you want to lose weight, and that's a really big step to take, the recognition and the work toward a healthier you will definitely help you, but also you gotta remember that 60% of what is going to help you lose weight is your diet. do you not cook very much? if cooking is a problem for you, i'd stock up on healthy prepared meals or something... sporadically eating fast food once or twice a day is just going to sabotage your body. maybe you could grill an entire pack of chicken and make a really giant salad, and then that way when you're hungry for a few days you can just quickly grab a piece of chicken and a few handfuls of your pre-made salad and be on your way? i'm a single girl on the go and that's one of my favorite things to do. i also make a lot of rice at once and portion that out, and eat cereal or oatmeal in the mornings since they're so fast. i also love meal substitute shakes and make lots of smoothies, as other suggestions for busy people on the go. string cheese, bags of baby carrots, and apples and oranges are also crucial for me to keep around so that when i'm hungry and hurried i can just grab something and go. i hope you don't feel like i'm trying to make you feel like i know everything and you know nothing, i don't, i mean, i am trying to lose 80 lbs! i wouldn't have so much extra if i had the answers ;) but, from what you've written so far, those are my suggestions for bringing you success a little easier!

xo!

@hearmeout

I live part time with my parents and part time with my girlfriend, so I've never really had to cook very much.
My parents both work super strange schedules and the leftovers in the fridge don't look very edible, so I always end up making something crappy and fast.
My girlfriend went to culinary school so she likes to cook...luckily she's just started dieting as well...

The salad idea is excellent, and by no means do I think you're giving off the 'know-it-all' vibe. I really appreciate this, actually.

Finally some results...even if they're small

I went to the doctor a day or two ago and my weight was 191.6. since then I have done some pilates and tae bo, and today I weighed in at 189.4.

I'm so excited. :]
I was just put on some thyroid medications to increase it's functioning, so if I do this right, the medication will help me quite a bit in jump starting this weight loss.

Any tips, advice, comments?
I would loooove to hear other opinions and pointers.

Also, I thought I'd add this. I calculated some BMI junk, and in order for me to get out of the horrible 'overweight' category, I should get down to about 150-155.

Woo-hoo!!

This is crazy, but I weighed in at 187.4 today. Two more pounds down, I guess.
The only real exercise I've had is sex...but I guess it's working. ;]

Hi! So your taking thyroid meds?? Did your dct run tests to check its functioning? what were the results?? OR did the dct prescr. you the meds w/o blood work?? just curious :)

Whats your diet looking like? Sex is a GREAT form of exercise!! ;)

I've had my thyroid tested a couple of times. It's not terribly low, but it never stays at a stable level, so they're putting me on Levothyroxine to see it get up to speed. I've had TONS of blood work though.

I don't know if I would necessarily say I'm on a sure-fire diet.
I don't eat until my stomach growls or feels hungry, and I've stopped eating out of boredom or habit.
As well as snacking on fruits and such, and I'm trying to cut back on fatty meats and carbs.
