Hiya.. this is not good today..but..at least im honest !! I have also joined Mal's challenge to lose 2lbs a week.

Brekkie = 2 poached eggs and 2 slices of wholemeal bread, cup of tea and a Twirl chocolate bar.

Lunch = 1/2 family size chocolate bar.

Dinner = Jacket potatoe, cottage cheese, salad and coleslaw.

Nibbles = Melon

mandie you're being much to hard on yourself -

OK so the chocolate bar wasn't the greatest choice for lunch but rather than throw the entire day away you corrected it and got back on track for dinner...

that's a good thing that a lot of people forget to do...

keep going forward..

Mal's right. Focus on the bad things, the negative things.... and that is what you'll get more of.

By focusing on the positives, it begets more positive momentum.

Hey lady! Glad you got a diary set up. That step really seems to help me get the support, which I find I need on those days where I am struggling.

& I agree with the above statements that you gotta find a way to see the positive sides of things... so you ate some chocolate, well at least you got some calcium & you didn't eat TWO bars of chocolate! :) & you didn't eat the chocolate bar & a huge lunch as well.

Plus the most important thing to be proud of is that you are taking this huge step to make a conscience effort to change the bad into the good habits & luckily you aren't alone. There are so many of us on here.

& as for your question about my pedometer in the message, I got a sportline 360. I love it. Got it on ebay so it was pretty cheap.

Hope you do great with the rest of today & even better tomorrow.

Glad you are here.

Hi! That doesn't seem like a bad day really. Congrats on only eating half the chocolate bar. (I can't eat half of anything... if it's there I'll eat it... :s) Bet your total number of calories for the day is pretty good, even if some of them weren't from the best places.

Good luck on the June 2lb challenge!

My scale was headed UPWARDS this morning... grr. Have to have a talk with that thing.. or just stop eating the bad stuff & really concentrate on treating my body like a machine that NEEDS good food & movement to maintain.

Anyway hope you are having a wonderful start to this weekend & this challenge. Thanks.

things are looking good!

Had a really good day yesturday..skipped breakfast (wasn't hungry)..but when I went out for a pub lunch I had diet coke, a small jacket potatoe with cheese and salad. At dinner I had raveoli on toast.

Today has been great too. I had a small bowl of shreddies for breakfast. At lunch I had 3 slices of wholemeal taost, 2 poached eggs and baked beans. At dinner I had 4 ryvita's topped with low fat cottage cheese. Feel very proud of myself..lol.

Im determined to lose 2 pounds this week on Mal's lose 2lbs a week challenge..Im trying so hard. Im going through a rough time at the moment with university, and Im an emotional eater...but, Ive managed two days of being good..I just pray that it lasts.

You can do it. Becareful slipping breakfast though, sends your body the message that you are starving & makes it want to hold on to everything.

Also how are you doing with drinking a ton of water? Seems to be a good thing I am doing this week & I am moving slowly downward (although not two pound yet & not doing so hot today, but I am trying...).

GOOD LUCK.

WE CAN DO THIS. :jump:

water

How much water should I be drinking..Im not a big fan of water. I have lots of cups of tea's though..lol..does that count??

Would diluted juice be ok..dont think I'd like just plain water all the time.

I have heard at LEAST 8 - 8oz glasses per day, more if you are trying to lose weight. Your body holds every lil bit it can when you don't drink often enough. If you are drinking it regularly in the right amount your body starts to realize that its not in short supply & doesn't hoard it (which means less water weight on your body). Plus its a zero calorie way to fill up your stomach.

diluted juices are going to be a calorie addition - so those are fine but just take those calories into consideration..

I've seen all sorts of reccommendations on water consumption and I know what's worked for me is 1/2 my body weight in ounces... some sources say -eh drink what you want and don't obsesso over it... I disagree... I just feel better when I'm hydrated -

Tea is allso fine but stick with the decaf varetities...

Slices of lemon, lime, orange, kiwi, strawberries, or cucumbers in a pitcher of water left in the fridge make fora nice flavored water... and if it's cold it's easier todrink

5-6-07 Tuesday

Having another good day (so far). Ive even worn my pedometer thingy today..clocked up nearly 6000..thought I'd done well untill I realized Im meant to be doing 10,000 steps.

Brekkie= small bowl of shreddies.

Lunch = 4 ryvita's with cheese spread.

Dinner = 2 hamburgers (be good to yourself) with reduced fat cheese slice.

snack = 1 bag of french fries.

it takes time and effort to get to 10,000 steps a day (that's about 4 miles) add in steps every day and you'll get there...

update

Hi everyone, unfortunately things have not been going too well at the moment.. Ive been so stressed out with uni work this last past week.. not only have I got two assignments, an application form and CV to do by Friday..Im in uni full time and back at work next week!!..Its just too much..finding it hard to cope..I am slowly working my way through it all..but..the diet has been really bad. I want my life back..and a slim figure.

healthy nibbles

Ive just been out shopping and got alot of healthy stuff...well ..I thought if im gonna binge I might aswell do it on grapes and healthy nibbles than sweets and cake...cant wait till all this work is done..then i can concentrate on losing weight again.
