My name is Amanda and I'm 19 years old. Overall, I am not a very fat person, but I really want to get a healthier and in shape body. My entire life, I have been a bit chubbier than most of my friends and recently I have let myself start getting a bit bigger. I know I can lose weight, I've done it before.
My weight loss goal is 20 pounds within no certain time frame. I just want to know that I am making progress. So... here we go!

Today I felt extremely guilty about the chocolate chip ice cream cookie I ate at my boyfriends house, so while he went to work, I went to the gym. I went on the treadmill for about 30 minutes. Walked about 10 first and then decided I wanted to start tracking my miles again. 12:10 was the mile, so next time it must be lower!
Then, proceeded to the eliptical for 30 minutes and was exhausted, so had to stop and go to the bike! Did the bike for 15 minutes and my legs were killing, so I went tanning:smilielol5:

I came home and had 6 bagel bites for dinner, which I found out was only 200 for four, so I was quite impressed.:drool5:
 
Welcome and congrats on your new goals! I found the people here and journaling in particular to be very helpful.

Okay so to answer some questions... I am five foot tall and weigh approximately 145. I hate the fact that I am so short because I feel like the weight is overtaking my tiny body.

But, I went to the gym yesterday and today again. Yesterday I ran a mile in 11:50!! Not much, but I got it down by 20 seconds!! Then I walked another 6 miles. Then went on the bike for 5 miles. I was there for about 2 and a half hours and literally felt like I couldn't walk after.

Then, even though my legs were sore I went to the gym again today. I went on the eliptical for 45 minutes and felt rediculously sweaty and disgusting. Then went on the treadmill for another 35 minutes and actualy felt like I wasn't there long enough, but the gym closes early on weekends.:cuss:

Thank you for reading!:waving: I just want to get back into the routine of losing weight and going to the gym. School just got out this week, so now I should have a bit more time on my hands!!!​

You are wise beyond your years girl!
Took me a long time to figure that one out. I would always crash diet, lose 10 or twenty in a short burst then gain it all back plus some.
Welcome...Nice people on here. They have helped me a lot. Good luck and get busy!

Anyways, I went to the gym today after giving up over the weekend. I went on Friday for like 2 hours and worked my ass off. Then Saturday, I worked 8-6 and the gym closed at 7. So no fat chance in hell. Sunday - Mothers Day, I'm sure you can figure what I was doing. Monday.. didn't go. BUT I just got home and I got my mile down to 10:50! AN ENTIRE MINUTE DOWN FROM FRIDAY:coolgleamA::coolgleamA::coolgleamA:
Afterwards, I nearly puked from overheating, as I ran it in my hoodie. But, after calming down a bit, I walked another 4 miles on a 5 incline, but the 5th was on a 9 incline!

Will be going back tomorrow with my friend.. So I will surely update.​
