Ok...let's try this again! I'm not sure how to use this. The last thread/diary I started is gone. Hmmmm...

Anyway, They say it takes 21 days to break a habit. So, that is what I am using to lose weight! I need to not just lose weight. I also need to break bad habits and replace them with good ones.

Here is what I ate today:

-Whole grain Lean pocket

-Chicken breast sub from subway and sour cream baked chips

-1 cup of beef & noodles

-Lean gourment frozen dinner (only 200 cal!)

-1 banana

-2 bites of mac and cheese

-1slice of apple cake

-3 cans of diet pop

So, here's the thing. It wasnt the best, but deff not the worst. I need to concentrate on eating better! here is my first 21 day habit breaker challange....... no pop or sweets.

But is that realistic? Should i say, 1 pop and sweet a week? I'm afraid that I will cheat! Do you break a habit by having just one a week? But i know i'm going to have pop and sweets again. But by not having any for at least 21 days, will that break my habit to have them often?

Day 2 & 3

Ok, I think I have this thing figured out! (Thanks to a few of you!)

Well,

I did good! Of course the test will be the scale next week! :rolleyes:

So, my first 21 day challange is good! I did have 1/2 of a small cookie yesterday. I baked some pre-made frozen cookies for my mom to get them out of my house and I over baked them, so I had to test one to see how horrible they really were.:) (they weren't too bad, and I still managed to have 1/2). When I got to my mother's house, she had left over birthday cake, so I did have a bite! Just one! Not bad.

Today, I poured myself a glass of diet pop and started to drink and then realized "I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DRINKING THIS!" And poured it out! And got my self some Crystal Light Peach Tea.

My eating wasn't bad. I have a really bad memory, so I can't remember exactly what I ate. So tomorrow I'll write it down and post it, so that you can all keep me accountable.

I so badly want to weigh myself, but this is what always happens. I weigh myself, realize I'm doing good and start to eat a little rough. Anyone else have that problem?

Also, I enjoy salty for than sweet, so if you all have a great not-so-sweet idea for breakfast, Please send this way! P.S. I don't care for eggs, so it gets tricky! :eek:

Congrats on starting your diet and staying motivated and
commited!Lean cuisine has alot of yummy dinners all under 300 cals!
Are you planning on adding some water that plays a major part in
weightloss? As far as sweets take for example your a cake lover
weightwatchers makes a double chohlate fudge cake warm it up in the microwave it is to die for(170 cals 3 or 4 fat)strawberry cheesecake(150 cals 3 fat)there are a ton of guilt free sweet snacks that you can have once a day I prefer my 1st snack around 2ish!Well good luck to ya and by the way when keeping a diary simply keep comeing back here and hitting "REPLY" and you dont have to start a new 1 everytime! Day 4

To answer Tammy's water question, yes. I don't care for water, so I have to work my way there. I do like the flavored water and the crystal light mix-ins. I have to find a way to keep my water really cold all day and then I will enjoy it. Thanks for the encouragement!

I am going to stick with counting points (weight watchers) because that is what I've tried in the past, and it worked, just couldn't afford to go every week. I'm sure some of you can relate! Right now I am allowed 24 points in a day and 35 flex points in a week. (i try to stay away from the flex points)

Today.....

~Lean Pocket for breakfast (again, don't care for sweet things) 6points

~Carmel nut brownie Luna bar for lunch. 3points

~BBQ Chicken sub from subway dinner. 6points

~also a tomato garden veggie soup for dinner. 1 point

~and sometime today I did have a small piece of bread from panera 2points (to be safe)

Total points: 18! WOO-WOO

I can still go home and have some popcorn and a glass of milk! :)


I'm excited about it, but I do need to work on eating better for me things. I probably had 3 servings of veggies between my sub and soup. So not terrible, but could be better.
 
Well it sounds like you're doing great with your eating so far :)
I'm not a very big water drinker either, but I have 2 16oz bottles of it a day before I exercise b/c I know if I don't I'll end up getting a cramp like I did today :) heh
It's hard drinking alot of water when you're not used to it, but I'm sure those flavor pack things that you can stick in them will help that out some :)

Anywho... Keep at it! Woohoo!
 
Day 5

I didn't write down food today, so of course I don't remember what I ate!:eek: But I do know this....It is Day 5 of my "21 day habit breaking challange" and I am doing great!!! No pop or sweets! I love it! I past up pop 3 times today! Also, where I work they always have snacks lying around. So today I pasted up a jack-o-lantern full of candy and a bunc of minnie muffins! I'm excited! If I can break those 2 terrible habits of mine, I will be thrilled!

After I break this habits, I will begin on replacing them with good habits(excersie, more fruits and veggies). I am working on the water thing. All I am drinking is water or my crystal lite mix-ins.

Your doing gr8! The WW points seem
a little simalr to calorie counting which both seem to work
gr8! Flavored water counts and eventually you can grow a
taste for water.I love water and used to love Mountain dew
I tried 2 different cheat days to have 1 pop and it now taste
like syrup to me I don't like it anymore!
Now if I can obnly say that to sweets and my fave resteraunts lol!

Yesterday (10/13/06

hello all! Thanks again for the encouragement!

Here's what I ate yesterday:

Lean pocket - 6pts
Lean Cuisine - 4pts
Some noodles - 1pt
2 cheeseburgers from mcdonalds - 14pts
2 chicken nuggets (my son didn't eat them) - 2pts
1/4 of a small chocolate milkshake - 2.5pts
popcorn - 1pt
10 m&m's - 1pt

total: 31.5

So I went over and broke my 21 day no sweet challange. Hmmm...I don't really feel bad about it though. Should I? I limited myself more than most in a day and when I had them I knew that I can't have any tomorrow, or the next day or on and on. I think i'm still doing good! I'm happy!

I've also been told that it is good to pick up some "fast food". Food that you can eat at home while on the go (veggies, fruit, etc). So I did pick up some celery, green pepper, bananas and oranges and I'll start snacking on those.

Weighing myself on Monday!
 
Today (10-14-06)

I'm not feeling well today. Feels like I am getting a cold. I don't remember exactly what I ate. But I do remember that I was careful. I had a lean pocket, some lean chicken and some pretzel crisps with a little cheese dip. That's all I can remember.

I went to buy jeans today and come home without any. I only have one pair. My husband and I are going out of town this weekend and I wanted another pair. Oh well. My body shape is so odd that it is hard to find pants. I can't find the perfect size!!! IT'S SO SO SO FRUSTRATING! IT'S VERY DISCOURAGING! Makes you feel like giving up. But, I won't I did find a pair of kahki color cords and a shirt though. They look nice.

THE MORAL OF MY STORY.... It's time for exercise!!! I need to find time and do it! I have one free week to Curves, so I'm going to try that. Do any of you do curves? Any suggestions for exercise that doesn't involve jogging?

Sorry you're feeling icky - hope it clears up tomorrow.

I know about frustration in the clothes dept. I out grew the plus size dept. for a while :eek: Hang in there!!

So...I weighed myself today....4.6lbs down!!! Woo-woo! I am so so excited! You all keep me going! Thank you!
 
Wow congratultions! That's fantastic. Just keep up the hard work you've been doing and you'll see your goal in no time.
 
Going away!

My husband and I are going away this weekend for our anniversay & my birthday! I am declaring right now that I am going to eat good while I'm away! :) HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!
