ok I'm back. My last post was last month but I created a new diary.. its been a rough month but now it all ok. For starter, its been two week since I improve my eating habit, I did have occasional soda pop 2 time (only because we have plenty left in the fridge. plus I'm drinking more water like 600ml to 1.2L a day. It doesn't seem much, but before I didn't drink much. So the more often I drink everyday the less it seem like a chore.


My breakfast and lunch is pretty repetitive: for breakfast I eat 1 pack of oatmeal. for lunch I eat, a sandwich with 1 egg, 1 slice of ham and a spoon of mayonnaise. I should substitute mayonnaise with homemade hummus I did try it once it was great. For supper it really depend. Sometime its shrimp with vermicelli rice or chicken with vermicelli rice or baked potato, and I try to add vegetable to it. I try to make my own sauce seasoning, The Kraft dinner one might not have many calorie but it packed with sodium si is all the other brand :S. for snack I have some cracker with hummus & some fruit or apple sauce or dry cereal.


Two week ago I was at 214.5lb

Now I am at 207.8lb!!


the first week I didn't exercise much.

the week after I did my interval jumping jack cardio, 2 set of 20min.

I'm waiting for my stationary bike I hope to have it this week.
 
Ok today I only did 1 set of 20minute it was great. Tomorrow I should calculated how much I eat approx with carb, sodium etc. I'm excited I'll get my bike probably Wednesday.
 
This was not a great week for exercise since I was working with my dad. plus still didn't receive my bike. I think I will get it tuesday I hope, it will be great to do after work or late night. But the eating was going well at least. Always had the same breakfast and lunch. for supper it was lasagna or pizza so that didn't help but I didn't have time preparing my supper. But I will prepare them the night before.


But I might change it (still haven't noted the calories yet)

I wont change my breakfast I packed of oatmeal is plenty and does keep me full. for lunch I might take off the bread. Instead I would eat a omelette with ham. and some cracker with humus sometime or salad or vegetable. I tend to feel more hungry after eating bread.


For supper I've ditch the vermicelli rice. I thought I like it but it not doing it for me because I always add sauce to add flavor I can't bring myself to eat it like that and those sauce sure do have a lot of sodium in it its scary! Si I'm replacing it with brown rice. I don't add anything to the rice and I like eating it bland and it keep me full! Plus, I make a sauce with honey, lemon oregano garlic to put it in the chicken. it way better and less sodium. I know the honey have sugar but I don't use it much. Plus I don't add salt to my dinner. with that I have some vegetable. Someday I will alter to baked potato.


I tried altering chicken with shrimp but urghh I can't bring myself to eat it, I guess I don't like seafood. My mom did bought a lot of tofu, I should try it might be interesting. for snack in between meal: its fruit salad or apple sauce or almond or cracker again or fruit. So i pick 2 snack between the 4 choice I have a day. plus with 2/3cup of dry cereal (for fiber). so it 3 snack and 3 meal. plus 1-2liter of water a day.


I was going to exercise tonight but I ended up eating late plus had to cook for the family. but will do it over the long week end.. I need my bike so bad loll
 
Ok yesterday I received my stationnary bike(as a gift) so happy and it fit perfectly in my room. I did 1h last nigh it really fun but the downside is I had a lot of trouble adjusting the seat because it hurt my sitting bone really much. I've try all the setting still hurt So I've placed a small pillow it ok but doesn't quite do the job. I'll try putting the Curves sweat pant since its thick. I hope the discomfort go away because I really like spinning.


Today I did my interval jumping jack it went ok. Maybe I'll do a bit of spinning. My weigh-in will come later this week. Plus its great I don't feel so hungry. I guess having less sodium really help!
 
I know how hard starting on this journey can be, trust me! I am actually going through the same thing right now. But it sounds like you are on the right track! Just keep at it and eventually the results will come :) Looking forward to hearing about your progress!

thank you for your encouragement :) It's easy to start the first few day but it keeping it up that is hard. But I'm glad I found those curves sauna pant, I put em them on and hopped on my stationary bike and guess what It didn't hurt :D so Happy I guess I needed to wear something more padded! So I guess I will do my stationary bike for 1h tonight and maybe 10-20min of interval. I am surprised I can control what I am eating. in the past few day I've stopped eating after 7pm and didd't feel hungry afterward. I guess it all the water I've been drinking and eating those healthy snack. I realised it help to not drink to soon after eating supper> I wait 40min after to drink water and don't feel hungry. Usually I drink almost a bottle of water while eating I thought it helped but it soon made me very hungry.
 
July 2-3


july 2: I did 40min of interval jumping jack next day: I did 45min of stationary bike, It does not hurt so much with the curve pant at least but after 30min I need to place a cushion because it get uncomfortable. But I really enjoy it. So tonight Maybe it will be : 20min of bike + 40min of interval jumping jack then tomorrow will be 1h of bike.. so I hope I stick to it Ill update every 2-3Day. I still haven't counted the calorie/ carb/ surgar/ in total so I hope to do it soon, I think I'll have to cut down on the carb :( not sure But I will make a new threat with my eating habit.
 
arghh what a day, I didn't do my exercise last night I was feeling so bloated, plus we didn't have power or electricity until this morning, so I ate quite yesterday. I was done with eating by 6pm but when we came back I was craving for some salt so I ate some pickle, cheese and cracker miam plus my dad made me a sandwich.. I still feel a little bloated but I weight myself and I'm at 208 or 209 :( I really hate that digital scale it keep changing when I try again :S Anyway I have to limit sugar and carb, the number of sugar in the maple syrup oatmeal is incredible :S At least they where the natural flavor in the box I bought. So that that. I just hope to exercise tonight I want to do at least 4-5x of exercise this week. the rice and chicken is getting boring, the one I cooked yesterday was god awful lol Chicken was too dry and I didn't want to add any sauce because of the sodium :S but using honey doenst seem like a good idea, I should have realised this before making my mom buy 2l of honey :S
 
the natural oatmeal taste horrible :ack2: Nevermind that, I will stick to dry cereal in the morning with some fruit. Plus that dole fruit salad might be tasty but it have a hight amount of sugar, I'll probably take off the juice in it. instead of eating a sandwich at lunch I will eat an omellet(2egg) with cheese and cracker. then for supper I will eat chicken with vegetable like Tinda or aubergine instead of rice. I don't think I need much carb in the night. its better to have much of them in the morning. Because bread does for some reason make me hungry and rice or pasta at night make me bloated. I guess I will get my carb and fiber from cereal (need to find a more healthy one and mix it will all brand kellog), fruit, cracker and almond well I could add baked potato to my dinner. and homemade Hummus could be great mmm.

It's ok, Mam. Those numbers will go down. TRUST, they will. Your consistency will pay off and you will be SO happy that you stuck to it!


And I know what you mean... I've cooked some "god awful" chickens myself. hahah!! SERIOUSLY. Sometimes, you would think I wanted to "torture myself" purposely. haha. I hear ya in the sauces too. They can really add tons of cals if we aren't careful. Good for you for choking that dryness down! The other day I cooked one that was good:


1-2 fresh tomato smashed in the pan cooked on water

handful of cilantro

bell pepper sliced

pepper/sea salt (or lemon juice) easy and light on the salt

chicken breast no skin


cooked on low low flame and you keep turning the chicken until it's cooked fully and you have a little stew. You can add mushrooms too. :)


Stick with it! It gets easier!

The number did go down not much but still I am now 207lb!! but that digital scale is confusing sometime it change when I weight again :banghead:

only lost 1 pound but still I am in better shape than last month so no complain here ;) plus it time of the month maybe that what it :leaving: ;)
 
Good for you, mam! I got a bit shell-shocked, looking at all the numbers above, but I'm very impressed by your attention to detail! and that one pound down is just the start of many more!!
 
long time dind't update... after seeing I lost only one pound I got discouraged. silly I know. So for one week I stopped exercising and eating junk. then I weight myself I gained 2 pound I think, Then I started eating right and exercising each day starting on the week of july 23. this went on unttil now. I didn't weight myself for 3 weeks. I did try some old clothes when I was 200 pound. The pant are still tight but I can button them. Oddly the jean that I wore when I was 180lb are vsry thight but I can button them unlike before so that all good. but the suspense was killing me so I weighted myself 2 days ago and was at 204lb. I have to keep in mind that my mom bought load of junk food last week. 3 bags of cnips and 5 chocolate bar. I have no idea why. I am not in speaking term with her so that wont work. Maybe she thought that whole junk will last me for a long time. uh think again ma lol anyway at least i got rid of that. I sure hope I would have some self control. for this week I've have cooked and frozen my meal for the nexts 5 day to come and I went back to my old jumping jack interval cardio 4x a week and I will do stationnary bike for the 3 others day..
