Make Me Your Pet Project

Hi Everyone! I am new on the forum but I am in need of your help. From January 1st to January 24th I will have a rare opportunity to finally reach my weight loss goal. During that time, as if i was on the biggest loser, I have no job, no responsibilities, no school, NOTHING. I do, however, have a membership to a gym. Right now I am studying abroad (and have been since semptember). I return on the 24th. My peak weight was 175 in May 2008. My low was 145 in September 2008. When I left the states, I weighed 160 pounds (I am 5'6). Although I was very athletic and in shape (ran numerous half marathons with mile times of less than 8 minutes, played soccer and bball...) I was very unhappy with my body. I was athletic, but FAT. When I left the US to study abroad, I made it my goal to lose this weight that has been plaguing me since the 7th grade. Since september (about 3 and a half months) I have lost 22 pounds and now weigh 138 pounds. My goal is 125 by the time I leave on the 24th of january....

this is where you come in. The 22 pounds I lost since september i did just through diet, no exersize. Now, however, to loose the last 13 pounds I have joined a gym. I am willing to work out 5 hours a day if it is necessary. Please make me your pet project. Tell me what kind of exersize and food regimine I should follow.

This plan starts January 1st. My goal is to weigh 135 by the 1st. That way, this 24 day intensive exersize weight loss project will have the round goal of 10 pounds.

I have been lurking on these forums for years now and I really need your help for this final push. i really just want to return to college confident and attractive, and not the nice but ugly fat friend.

I hope you will give me advice!

May 2008: 175
September 2008: 145
May 2009: 165
September 2009: 160
December 2009: 138

Goal: January 23rd, 2009: 125

I hope you can help me!

(ps: again, I am very athletic so the fitness program for me can be VERY tough- ie. i can run loads)

I don't see why you can't do 10lbs in a month :) Start counting your calories on fitday.com, I can't recommend a calorie level, ask mod KaraCooks for that. As long as you don't go over your cal limit & you run every day, you should be money $$$ How much do you feel comfortable with running per day?

I havent run for a while, so i am out of shape. But I can run as much as required. I like doing very fast intervals on the treadmill (walk 5 min, run at 9 mph 5 min, walk 4 min, run at 9 mph 4 min...etc)

any more advice!??

Not meaning to discourage you from doing this, but you need to be thinking about what you will do after this rare opportunity is over and when you have a job, or school, or maybe no access to a gym. In other words, the permanent lifestyle changes you need to make to keep the weight off. It can be done.
