2Bhealthy

After losing motivation, I've decided an online weight-loss community would help me get that motivation back.

I started out at 180 pounds, but a few months back I began eating healthier and dropped down to 162 pounds. I'm still eating healthier; however, it's time to begin exercising and getting the motivation to stick to an exercise plan is proving difficult for me.

I was always overweight as a child- I was never taught the difference between healthy and unhealthy (I guess that's a part of being from the South). The only time I have been a normal weight was when I was 14 to 17 years of age. At 18 years of age, I got into a serious relationship and began eating whatever my boyfriend would eat- Well, almost 3 years later I am still with the boyfriend and eating whatever he ate is sure showing.

I not only want to lose weight to look better and be more secure with myself, but I want to be as healthy as I can be. I've always been terrified of getting ill with diabetes or heart disease and I refuse to let myself develop something that is completely preventable by eating healthy and exercising regularly.

Currently, my ideal weight is 140 pounds. That means my weight-loss goal is 22 pounds.

My boyfriend is very supportive of me; however, if he eats unhealthy around me- it's hard for me to have self-control and not eat that unhealthy meal too. He works out almost every day and we began doing simple workouts together (sit-ups, crunches, jumping jacks, lifting weights, etc). We also take our dogs on walks or bike rides which helps me exercise on a daily basis. My boyfriend does not need to lose weight though and is in very good shape so I joined this community to communicate with others who are going through the same journey as I am.

I feel as if losing weight, being more secure/happy with myself, and healthier should be enough motivation for me to do a serious work out routine at least 3-4 days a week; however, it's not. I guess what I want from this community is support and motivation to keep me going so I can reach my goal of 140 pounds.
