the last couple of days looks like your regime is going really well, keep it up!

I noticed that Petra mentioned the couch to 5km programme.

I have done it and now (probably after about 2 years of on/off trying it) have graduated from not being able to run for 1.5mins to now knocking out 25kms a week.

I recommend it and take your time and repeat weeks if you think you are struggling.

With all the walking you are doing, you should be starting to get some good strength in the legs.

Thanks. :) So are you. I like getting on here and going, "oh yay, Maddy's posted something. time to go get more motivation." :)

OOOOh have FUN! and Dont think about falling off. That's the first step to getting there.... You'll be fine. There is a video on youtube of these riders and their horses doing the big 7 foot brick wall thingy (I cant remember the name of the jump). And they do it BAREBACK. :eek2: Its crazyness. lol.

Well Xorie I did it. Flippin hell it was such a buzz, scary but absolutely fantastic. Yes we did a bit of jumping, only small ones, but it was fantastic. No bits or bridles just hang on to the main and keep the legs in tight. OMG it was just fantastic. It nearly made me :puke: when I was waiting for my turn, but I DID IT!!!! and live to tell the tale ha ha

Was away for the weekend and was very bold with the food & drink, but I'm starting anew now, no looking back :blush5: Have until the 15th October before I go back to the Doc. Unfortunately, I had a really bad asthma attack on Saturday morning and it kinda set be back, but I'm back at work now and things are improving. Talk soon :waving:

god, Its scary enough for me just trotting bareback. lol. The best thing I ever did bareback was go swimming. Thats freaking amazing. lol. I'm glad you had fun!

Yikes on the asthma attack. I hope its all better now. You'll be shedding the weight like crazy with how good you do, so you'll be amazing at your next weigh in. :)

OKAY now swimming bareback would be so cool, but that won't happen here, cos there is no water deep enough for us to swim. I'd love to give it a go though. Maybe some day I will bring him down the beach and go swimming, that woudl be just amazing.

Your so funny. Me shedding the weight like crazy I DON'T THINK SO!!!! I'm finding it terribly difficult at the moment to keep motivated. For reason I'm just longing for chocolate and I would give ANYTHING for a packet of crisps. Its killing me :nopity: I just have to try and keep going. I think the next time I'm with the Doc, I'm gonna say to keep to the 2 weeks, cos I think thats what motivates me. Four weeks is too far away to see any result and I don't weigh myself at home so I've no way really of knowing if I'm definetly losing. Enuf of the rant :cuss: and feeling sorry for myself. OMG I so want some chocolate and crisps and maybe some nuts (the salty ones) O god I have gotta stop this. :ack2: Maybe tomorrow I will be better. Am going riding tonight, so at least I won't sit in front of the telly munching :smilielol5:

What I do when I get the cravings is I allow myself to have a small amount of whatever I'm craving. If its M&M's I grab a handfull, or chips, I have a few. Dont deny yourself the stuff that you want, or you'll just get more and more frustrated, and when you do have a bad day, it ends up being a really bad day. If it helps, get some small baggies and put small amounts of the foods that you love and crave in them. That way when you want some, you dont go overboard, but still have whatever you wanted. I think it works rather well.

And dont get discouraged. You're doing amazing, and even when it feels like your hitting your head against a brick wall, just try and be a little better than normal. Dont go out and force yourself to be extra good, you'll burn out. Getting healthier is a long race. If you let your horse have his head at the beggining, you'll get passed at the 3/4 mark. Just keep it at a steady pace, and you'll be fine. I know you can do this, just keep your chin up and have fun.

p.s. Have a good time riding. :)

Thanks for the advice Xorie. Am feeling a bit better today as I got a nice long walk in this morning before work. The sun is shining and it just motivates me I guess when I get a good walk in the morning. Kinda sets me up for the day :hurray: Really good idea about the cravings. I'm definetly going to give that a go next time. I haven't had any choc or anything at all in 8 weeks so the cravings are probably a little out of control now and again.

Had a great time horse riding last night. Best get back to work, talk later & thanks again hunn:waving:

I dont know what kind of turnouts you have at your stable, but in washington, even if you have a VERY expensive barn and super duper stuff, mud still is an issue. And I dont have a super duper barn. :) lol.
