Hi there,

I am 22 years old, always have been a very skinny girl until puberty hit me in the face. I don't feel happy with how I look and I want to change that!

Height: 1,67 m (5,47 feet)
Weight: 73,7 kg (162lb)
Goal: 63kg (138lbs)

I have been ''dieting'' for a little over 4 weeks now and have lost 4,2kg (9 lbs).
I am very happy it is going so fast!

I follow the Sugerchallenge program wich means I do not eat suger and as less as possible carbohydrates.
I walk a lot more than I did before and soon I want to bike a lot more too, but I started with the food.

I am a vegetarian so that means I really have to balance out my food so I get enough nutrients but that is going very well.
I am slowly starting to eat sugar and carbohydrates again after 4 weeks, adding 1 thing at the time so I can see what makes my weight go up so I know what I can eat or not.

Thank you for reading and tell me what you think!

Hi, Maarssel & welcome to the forum. Well done on losing 4.2kg in a month. Did you find it difficult? Did you eat fruit in that month? I think I would miss fruit more than I would processed sugar.
I find it a little sad that most women are not happy with how they look. I look back at photos of me when I was much younger & am shocked to see that I was attractive. I never knew that. Look at building up your self-esteem sweetie. It should not be centred around being skinny. Look at yourself in the mirror in the morning & smile & tell yourself how lovely you are. Becoming really healthy & fit is a good thing to do, but loving yourself regardless of what the scales say is very important for happiness & well-being. Cheers, Cate

Hi thanks for replying!

@cate Yes is do eat fruit, i could not miss that! Thank you for your kind words. I am happy with who i am, but my body could use some change and i am doing that right now ;)

@brawny77 I told in my post that i want to exercise more and i am going to do that ;) thanks for your reaction

Hi Maarssel :) Glad to hear you do eat fruit; I´m always a bit weary of strict diets. Sounds like you´ve got everything under control!

Best of luck, LaMa.

I don't know anything about the Superchallenge program (I've honestly never heard of it before), but from what you've said I feel like I should offer some advice - a word of warning.

If the Superchallenge program is essentially a low-carb diet you are going to be EXTREMELY careful since you are a vegetarian. When a person goes on a low-carb diet they need to eat a larger amount of protein. Being a vegetarian, most all of your protein will be consumed in the form of carbs or through food that, when eaten in a quantity that fulfills your protein requirement, contradicts your low-carb diet. It's an extremely tricky balance to maintain.

I think the huge positive from what you said is that you walk (and want to bike) a lot more than you did before. That's GREAT.

Good luck!!!

Hi chef!
It is called the Sugerchallenge, that means no suger and less carbs,
It is a diet made by dutch people ;)
I know i need to eat a lot of protein and i am making sure i do and feel healthy.
