LynnZs Diary

Wow, I usually don't read long posts like that... but I read every word. That is an awesome and inspiring story. If more people followed their hearts, this world would be a much happier place.

All I can say is, you have a LOT of guts and tons of respect from me!

i agree with everyone... you have TONS of guts!

but it must feel amazing to know that you did exactly what was right for you!!

:D

Wow! That is actually pretty romantic. You flying off to Hawaii just to wait to be with the man of your dreams....*sigh*

I just wanted to pop in and wish my fellow FOX an awesome April and a Super Spring Challenge!

Well Happy Friday everyone!!!
Sooo ironic, right after I posted about making my next long winded post a post about being a military wife...my friend called to tell me her husband had been shot. So yesterday was very hectic...all we knew was that our husbands convoy had been under attack and her husband went to aid another soldier and had been shot...he was being transported to a hospital in Iraq and then on to kuwait-Germany-Walter Reed, WAshington....we didnt know if others had been wounded or killed...so my life was in turmoil yesterday...I didnt go to pilates and all I wanted was to throw-up or scarf down food...I did neither....instead I tried to stay calm for her. We've had plenty of scares...and many sleepless nights....but this was our worst fear. I told her to get her passport ready and a bag packed incase the next call was a call ordering her to Germany...Things are calming down now...he was able to call her late last night and tell her to wait until he got to Walter Reed...he had been shot in his lower left leg...but was okay....he told her other soldiers had been injured but they werent anyone that she would know...which was his subtle way of saying "Its not lindsey or amanda(another friends) husbands"...**sigh** I'm over this deployment.
So on a brighter note: Easter is this weekend...I hope I get a "Happy Easter" call from my honey.

Breakfast: Cup of light and fit blueberry yogurt w/ 3/4 cup of granola mixed in.

Snack: Some almonds, flax seed cookie and one small chocolate covered malt ball (my boss gave me a easter basket w/ a bag of them in it :p I ate one and hid the rest, lol) raisins and apple crisps(dried apple 50cal.)

Lunch: Tuna Melt (same as yesterday) broccili and fatfree ranch dip and two fig newton cookies, yum.

Snack: Carrots, grapes and a flax seed cookie.

Dinner:

I'm leaving straight from work to make the trip north to my families house...I'm spending easter weekend with them :)

I'm so sorry about your friend. I don't blame you for being terribly frightened and stessed--hang in there! Glad you're still doing well.

Hi there

Thanks for reading my diary :)

So sorry to hear about your friend's husband! What a shock. I hope he recovers well.

Thank you ladies :) I have yet to hear from my husband...I'm sure it will be a few days with communications down :( Oh well, the life of a military wife.

I'm getting frustrated however...I dont know if its TOM or just stressed with everything that has been going on...I have so much to do before I move back to Hawaii...so that could be it, but I just want to eat!! I just broke down and ate a piece of chocolate :) but then I get pissed at myself b/c I really want to loose weight before I move but I'm craving sweets!! Its GOT to be TOM. I'm getting sick of being stuck on this weight!! Dang the Easter Bunny and his Chocolates!!!!! AH!!

Well, its almost 5 o'clock which means I'm almost off for the weekend :) I'm headed home to grab my bags and 7lbs of furball K-9 and then its off to see the fam. I'm thinking I'll take a hike tomorrow...if its nice out. My parents live in the Northern part of SC right in the foothills...so theres lots of pretty hikes...maybe I'll take the dogs out for a nature adventure. :D Throw in some fruit and veggies and a good deed and I'll earn some points for the foxes!!

Thoughts and prayers are with you Lindsey!! Keep your head up girl, I'm sure hubby will be just fiine! Hope you have a nice weekend!

Bruce

Yes, that nemisis that preys on the weaknesses in all dieters, the easter bunny.

I say, whats that cooking? Rabbit stew? :D

Just kidding, these things are sent to try us and all that, have a great weekend!

Wishing your husband a speedy recovery. That was terrible news.

You're making great choices during a crazy time.

I'm a Fox, too. See you around.

I'm going to agree with CG on this one, eat the dang piece of chocolate cake and don't let it worry you. After the scare that you and your friend just had, the last thing you should be worrying about is the caloric value of chocolate cake. You've been doing really well, and should be proud of yourself. I hope you have a happy Easter, and that you get a much needed call from the hubby.

Well Easter weekend is over...and monday finds me at my desk. Blah.

Thank you for the well wishes everyone :)

I finally heard from my husband on Saturday. He is not doing so well, really depressed sounding. I didnt realize that while our friend had been shot in the leg another soldier had been killed. The soldier killed was the guy my husband just replaced. They just swapped platoons not that long ago, and now he is gone. I think its bothering my husband more than he is leading...I can tell in his voice. He said things are getting worse and he doesnt know when he'll call again...I missed him at the table for Easter Dinner...but on a positive note, its our LAST HOLIDAY APART!!!! I guess I'll be heading to Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington in the next few weeks to visit our friend that was shot. The Doctors said he wont walk for awhile and they hope he wont walk forever with a Limp. He sounds good though, he sounds cheerful in his voice and actually made a few jokes about the situation he is in...so thats good.

Hmmmm....so I ate lots of good fattening food this weekend. Coconut cake, cheesy potatoes and bread...YIKES!! BUT I did pass on the sweet tea!!! haha...it was hard, b/c I do LOVE sweet tea (I'm southern, obviously) and I rarely got to drink sweet tea in Hawaii...but I still passed...I'm really taking this "only drinking water, skim milk and green tea" thing seriously!!

Hope you all had a great Easter.

Breakfast: Oatmeal, Flax seed cookie.

Snack: Grapes, Carrots, and a few bites of a special K snack pack.

Lunch: Chicken Salad Sandwich

Snack: Flax seed cookie and raisins

Dinner: Bowl of Special K cereal w/ cup of skim milk, asparagus and a bite of jello salad (random I know)

I'm going to the gym tonight to run on the eliptical...its getting cold out and not so nice for running outside :( Maybe later in the week the weather will warm up :)
