Lucy's 2014 Diary

Thanks ladies. After feeling like that yesterday I actually got a call from the doctors surgery asking me to come in Thu for my ultrasound instead as their sonographer had called in sick- then I actually realised I would've preferred to just get it over and done with yesterday lol. That's life I guess!

Had a much better day yesterday food wise, got it under control again! Really want to be awesome the rest of this week to get rid of the extra fluid I'm carrying around now.

This morning I've already been for a 40min walk, going to shower soon and go to the shop on the hunt for some super cheap casual sandals and some coconut milk yogurt. How exciting lol. I'm getting pretty excited about my friend coming now- less than 2 weeks! She's paying for the night we go out on my birthday too, yay!! We're going to Dracula's (haha, my third time now) but of course we're doing all the tourist-y stuff while she's here. Love that place though, it's awesome! It's a 3 course dinner with a gothic cabaret/comedy. It's always so good and the show changes every few months.

Anyhoo... food today!

B 100g bacon, 2 eggs
S Choc coconut gelatine pudding
L 2 turkey sausages, 1/2 avocado, 1 grilled tomato
S 60g olives
D 100g roast beef, cauli-mash, gravy

Exercise About an hr of walking all up (my walk this morning and going to the shop and back)
 
Just got back from gym, rough chest session this morning!! Got my ultrasound in the middle of the day today too, means I'll probably be at the doctors all afternoon. No chance to overeat at least!

Ended yesterday on a 300cal deficit, not what I aimed for but I've had a big enough deficit to undo Mondays damage now! Really really REALLY hoping to be 71 or less by Mon.

Husband has tomorrow and the next day off work which is awesome, can't wait to spend some time with him. So over being home alone, being unemployed is awful.

Food today

S (pre workout) 100g bacon
B Choc coconut milk gelatin pudding
L (This'll be early, like 11ish as my appt is at 12) 2 turkey sausages, 1/2 avocado, grilled tomato
S 2 hard boiled eggs, 100g black pitted olives
D 100g roast beef, cauli mash, homemade gravy

Exercise 20mins walk to gym and back 30mins PT (chest day), 30mins walk to doctor and back

Thanks Mystic, I seem to be getting there! Even if my weight doesn't want to reflect it lol.

Had my ultrasound yesterday, have to go back yet again today for results. This is so annoying and dragged out! Day off with husband today too, don't want to spend half of it waiting at the doctors.

Had back day at the gym this morning, was rough! Ha, my trainer and I were the only people in the gym. Was a bit strange!! She's starting free classes every Mon morn at 6.30am, and they're open to everyone (even non gym members) so I'm going and have texted Wade to ask if he wants to come too. He might not want to because of the time, hahaha. We'll see! Means I get 4 workouts a week again for a helluva lot cheaper. She said it's either going to be a boxing class or a circuit, depending on how many people rock up.

Aside from that... still job hunting I guess. *sigh*

I'll be honest, haven't written for a couple of days as I've had a few bad ones... oops. Back on track today, want a really good week to get rid of this extra fluid plaguing me! I weighed in this morning- 72.5kg. Because yesterday was a pretty good day, I'm estimating maybe 1kg of that is fluid? If I have a really good week this week I should hopefully get down to 71kgs by next weigh in (1kg water, 500g actual weight loss).

I went to a free class my PT hosted this morning. Holy shit. It was the hardest workout I've ever done, and the closest to vomitting during a workout I've ever come. It ended up only being me and one other girl who is also one of her clients. Kind of showed me how unfit I am cardio-wise (possibly because I hate cardio, haha). My stomach was still dropping through the floor after I walked home, choked down a couple of eggs and now sipping some coffee. Also got some rather painful and annoying blisters on the palms of my hands from doing so many bear crawls!

Food plan for today

S (pre workout) Choc coconut milk gelatine pudding with 20ml cream
S (post workout) 2 hard boiled eggs
B 100g coconut milk yogurt, 50g strawberries, 30g choc peanut butter
L Leftover bacon carbonara
S 100g leftover chicken, 20g homemade mustard mayo
D Leftover bacon carbonara

Exercise 20mins walk to gym and back 45min zuu circuit with PT (still fighting back the vomit)
 
Thanks Mystic, it's awful when you get that during a workout! It's usually accompanied by a pounding in your head and lack of breath, lol.

Leg day today, and I survived. My back and shoulders are sooooo sore from yesterdays workout, I thought my legs would be but they were just a bit fatigued. Ended yesterday on around a 520ish cal deficit, yay! Woke up this morning and weighed in again, wanted to see if fluid was going down... and I was 72.1kg, so 400g since yesterday. I may or may not weigh in again tomorrow to see if it's gone down again...

Food plan for today

S (pre workout) Choc coconut milk gelatin pudding with 20g cream
B 2 hard boiled eggs, 100g coconut milk yogurt, 30g PB, 50g strawberries
L Cauli mash cheesy casserole and 1/2 avocado
S 2 babybel cheeses
D Roast cauliflower and caramelised onion soup with 100g chicken breast in a tbsp of homemade mustard mayo

Decided to take a day off exercise today! I ended up going for a very energetic walk with some stair runs and a couple of mini jogs last night as I had an extra meal, burned off the majority of it. Because it's what I would have done this morning I'm taking today as a rest day! I was all excited about sleeping in but of course I woke up at 6.30am, lol. 10mins later than when I'd get up with gym, woooo!

Applied for a couple jobs yesterday, and someone called me and told me they'd been contacted as a reference for me... But didn't say what company they were from, grr! Hopefully that means I might get a phone call today!

Food is completely all over the show already today, don't think I'll bother listing it... but I should end the day having eaten 1547 cals and no exercise.
 
Wow, what a whirlwind week I just had. My best female friend from home stayed the week, it was insanely full on and totally flew by!!! It was so much fun, I wish she'd been able to stay longer. Back to reality this week... I was fairly good foodwise, managed a small deficit (around 2000ish calories) by the end of the week. Also was WAY more active than I am normally, I'm so exhausted! Not weighing in this week though, had a pretty big food day today... oops. Think it'll be blown out cuz of fluid retention n stuff. I'm actually considering not weighing in until I get a job anyway, sticking to as good as I can be food wise and keeping up the exercise. It's just insanely hard when I don't do anything all day... I think if I can keep my cals at around 2000 each day I'll be happy. And exercising maybe 5 days out of 7 too!

Back into my usual routine tomorrow- gym session in the AM. Here's the food plan:

S (pre workout) Homemade protein bar
B 2 pieces PB bread with cheddar and tomato
S Coconut milk yogurt turned into frogurt
L 1 1/2 turkey sausages with curried veg
S Piece of freezer fudge
D Spaghetti and meatballs with shirataki noodles and green beans

Total calories 1939

Exercise 20min walk to gym and back, 35min group gym session (these are free!! And so freakin hard. My PT does these classes every Mon mon)
 
Hey Lucy!! Oh god, stop I know how that feels on the job front!! getting all those phone calls and hoping one of them will lead you to a successful interview. I managed to get a job 2 weeks ago after 6 weeks drastically looking for work!!:) Hang in there I know you will get something soon:):)

I love hanging out with my bestfriends tho!!!:):) Any excuse for some wine and bad food;)
