I Folded...
okay, so I totally folded yesterday.
The building I work in is now under construction and to kick it off they had a brunch - and I pigged out. And I felt so guilty that I ate my veggies like they were going out of style (when I was finally hungry more than half way through the day). And then I ate my lunch at that time, which wasn't bad (a microwave dinner from michelina's lean gourmet and a yogurt) and then I pigged on dinner too.
My husband bowls league on Thursday night so we were at the bowling alley. The Thurs night bowling alley doesn't serve salads (the Fri night one when we both bowl does) so I didn't get anything even though I was starving. One of my kids had chicken strips and the other a hamburger, both came with fries of course, and my husband ordered deluxe chili nachos. I just sat there watching them eat and repeating in my head "I'm going to enjoy the salad I make when I get home." WRONG

I didn't even make it to my house for dinner. Paul ate a few nachos and said "you want some? I'm done with them" and I'm thinking to myself 'okay, only having 1 or 2 isn't going to hurt anything' if I could only eat one or two. The whole plate later I was stuffed to the point of gagging if I try to take another bite and I'm feeling guilty again.
So when I get home I hop on the elliptical and make it to 4 minutes, the whole time feeling lethargic and nauseous the whole time. I practically fall off the machine and headed right to bed vowing to make up for it the next day.
Well, it's the next day and I haven't gone overboard yet. At wendy's my coworker order a big ole hamburger and I drooled over it as I ate my grilled chicken sandwich and baked potato. I don't feel guilty anymore but I'm still kinda regretting 'falling off the wagon' and I'm sure I will really regret it when I weigh myself on Sunday.
Oh well - such is life. I can already tell a difference in my clothing though, and my coworkers keep saying my face looks thinner, which is the only drive I have to keep this up.
Maybe I'll go to the park this weekend and walk the track around it, fighting the easter egg hunt the whole way. We'll see what happens!
Have a good holiday weekend!
