lower back issues and deadlifts

I injuryed my back a couple years ago. However it can still slide out if pulled wrong. I'm afraid deadlifts would do this. Is there anything you recommend as alternative?

I would adopt a safety-first approach and seek medical advice from a doctor/back specialist. Something like a back injury cannot be diagnosed over the internet and there are different types of injuries.

Deadlifts have actually helped my low back pain and injurys from the past.

That sounds misleading and is generalistic. I do like squats and deads as the base for any workout, but if you have problems with your back - seek medical advice from a doctor not people on the internet.

I was looking at a popular bber who said that chiros made his injury worse and recommended going to a doctor(who can then refer you to a specialist) and getting MRIs. Someone else may vary because their injury is different. But the basic advice is seek medical advice.

It definitely is generalistic and I agree to seek medical advice.
Just making sure he knows part of the docs answer pay be to do deadlifts. Mine was.
Torn ligaments. After a certain period of time deadlifts was the recommended therapy.

Thanks guys,

I'm actually seeing a doctor soon so I will take your advice and see what they think.

I'm just curious if there anyway around this obsticle? I mean like another exercise which achieves the same goals? It's the angle with so much weight that worries me.

Thanks.
