lower abs ?

hey folks-

alright here is the question, when I hit the abs I always feel it in the upper part but no matter what I do I can't seem to work the lower abs (or at least it doesn't feel like it)..anyone have some insight or tips on how give my lower abs a better WO
 
What are you doing at the moment?

Your abs are just one muscle (rectus abdominis), there isn't really an upper or lower as it's one sheet of muscle. Any exercise that uses your abs will work the whole muscle

I agree with CCR. There are similar misconceptions about the pec (Incline works the upper, decline works the lower etc). A muscle fires as one unit.

But, I've always found that hanging knee raises and ab wheel rollouts tend to give a nice all around effect that you can feel from top to bottom.
