lowboy's diary day 1

Hasn't been a good couple weeks sence I was sick. Started taken sleeping pills every night. Wrong thing to do for me, they are make me depressed and I havnt been exrcising or eating right sence I started them. Havnt had any the last 2 nights and my sleep hasnt been good.

Well I havent been here in a long time. This time I will make it work. I have went back up to 290lbs. in the last 5 months from 270lbs. I'm tired and out of shape, need to get back into the flow of working out and eating right again. Need some help from you guys to keep me going.

A little sore after my 4 mile bike ride and 2.25 mile walk yesterday. Have to get up and eat and go for another walk this morning. It will get easier I know. doing a 1800cal intake over 3 meals and 3 snacks over the day. Found some nice recipes on the forum that I'm trying this week. Did a red potato casserole with bacon bits and cheese, that was great and lower cal.s and fat then I usually eat

Doing good so far, havnt had bad craveings. Eating right and staying full. Walking 1 to 1.5 mile twice a day. Started on the bowflex pro yesterday. Arms and chest a little sore, butfeel good. My wife has noticed that just eating better and walking daily my attatude and energy has change.

Just did the Biggest Loser Bootcamp 1 dvd. My legs are burning and the push-ups about killed me. Gets the heart rate up and keeps it there for the whole workout. I'll be doing it 3 days a week for the first few weeks then might step it up, but I have to start slow.

Great work on starting back again. I've been there and know how if feels to be re-losing those same pounds you've lost before.

Did the journey from 290->235 in 2009, then 235->295 from 2009 to 2012, and now 295->230 in 2012. It can be done but takes a degree of 'stick-to-it-ness'

I like your plan of starting out with a few days a week and gradually build up. Remembering to ease back into the routine will pay off big in the end. There are quite a few of us in similar situations on here. If you get a chance check out Brawny and Little John's threads on here.

Posting on here on a regular basis has been a big help even if it's only to log in and update the weight once a week. If you want to bounce ideas off someone there are quite a few around willing to listen.

Look forward to your updates

Did 15min of abs this morning. Just back from a 4.75 mile bike ride. Made some veggy soup and strawberry jello for supper.

Made a yummy supper, did a turkey pattie spiced to taste. Sweet potato fries bake with cumin, curry powder and paprika.

Signed up today and the local wellness center at the hospital. Now I have a place to workout this fall and winter when its cold/rain/snow outside.

Did day 2 of the biggest loser bootcamp, was a little easyer then the first day but still hard.

Awesome, always good to have some place to go when the weather turns bad. I picked up some weights and an exercise bike last winter and it was a big help.

Good to see the workouts are getting easier, those bootcamps certainly do get the heartrate up.

Didn't do anything yesterday, just bummed around the house. Did eat right. Back to workouts today, Did 5 miles on the bike this morning. Hills killed me on a single speed cruiser bike, might need to look into getting a multi speed bike so it isnt so hard to pull the hills. Later will do 30 cardio workout.

Havn't done my cardio yet, but just got back from a 3.25 mile walk.

Only dropped 4lbs this week. Thought it might be more with the walking and bikeing I have done.

Lazy yesterday, didn't workout. Got up this morning and had an omelet and turkey bacon for breakfast. Going to let that set for awhile and head in to the gym.

Well not happy this week. Went in to weigh today and I'm back up to 292lbs. and I havnt been cheating. Maybe its muscle growth or water weight I dont know, but didnt like seeing those numbers today.

AHave seen those bounces in the past. Some were caused by eating salty foods the day before, weighing myself at a different time of the day or drinking loads of water.

Trick is to not let it get to you and keep making those right choices and it all works itself out.
